Just recently lowered my 3is and noticed a significant lost in low beam range. How to adjust the low beams or is everyone else just driving with 5 feet of vision at night ???
View 5 RepliesI recently lowered my wife's gs350 f sport and was wondering how to adjust the headlight beam? I followed the adjustment screws from the owner's manual and they tried to raise them, but they don't move. I know the headlights are adaptive so the move up and down with a motor so not sure if that is why they don't move with the adjustment screws.

My headlights are point down and is not getting the distance that it use to have, how to adjust (preferably with pictures or videos) my headlight so that they are pointing more upwards? View 14 RepliesI'm lowered about 1 inch in the front and when I drive at night its tough to see about 15-20 feet past my car. Its very bright in that range but past 20 feet it is very dark if there are no street lights. Any manual way to adjust the headlights?

View 42 RepliesHow do you adjust the low beam headlights for a 06 Passat? I have found the vertical adjustment now I'm trying to find the horizontal adjustment. For some reason the lights are aimed way out to either the left or the right. Has been like this since I bought the car. Had the car a month, only 42,000 and it's already been in the shop 3 times. Everything from ignition coil, to steering column and comfort control module.

We realized that she has to be careful because the driver seat headrest will push against the headliner. I think the adjustment range could have been better planned. Our last car would not allow this to happen.
View 3 RepliesMy V10's steering column has lost the ability to adjust up and down. In and out is still fine though and the position memory works, just for in and out too. I was thinking that a fuse may have gone but I can't see a fuse dedicated to this in the manual. No doubt it'll be something much more complicated than that though.
View 7 RepliesI am new the forum but I wanted to get some information about the apparent turbo failure problem the 2012-2014 TDIs seem to be having. On other forums I have read numerous premature turbo failures. Also how long did it take to get the new parts and complete the repair. My car at this point will be in the shop for over a week. At the point when the car broke down I did not really know what was going on. The glow plug light was blinking and I immediately lost a significant amount of power. Do I need to worry about any internal engine damage from a blown turbo? I was able to get the car to the dealer at a very slow speed in a very short amount of time but this is my first diesel and first turbo so I could use some information.
View 14 RepliesI've noticed a noise coming from my car (2014 IS350 RWD) that sounds like a light, irregular rattle, when the engine is running in the 3500 - 4500 RPM range. I don't hear it necessarily under load, but if I am in manual mode in a lower gear, and let off the throttle, I can hear it.
The best way I can describe the noise is like a bowl of rice crispies (rapid and random), only slightly louder. You have to listen for it, the road/traffic should be quiet, and if you get back on the gas, the intake noise that's plumbed into the cabin pretty much covers it up. I can also hear it in Park or Neutral.... I've wondered if it's a loose heat shield, or an exhaust issue, but I can't hear it standing next to the car or with my head under the hood. I only hear it from the cabin. The rhythm of the noise is irregular.
I don't think it's ping/detonation, since that usually shows up under load, is much louder and has a decidedly metallic sound to it compared to what I'm hearing.
I lost my all smart keys, what's my next step?
I go to lucksmith but they say I have to change the smart key Assay computer.
My car is fully stock, with all options available to me (cold weather package not available here). The low-beam triple-LED headlights are aimed way too low compared to all my previous cars, and where they should be. BUT high-beam is aimed properly. So if I adjust the low-beams up, my high-beams might end up lighting up the trees, not the road.
If adjust the headlights up on a fully stock car (not lowered at the front)? Are the high beams still lighting up the road fine? And if you can be specific as the number of turns on the screwdriver, it'd be good too to have an initial adjustment reference.
My 2008 250 suddenly lost ability to adjust temp control of heat and A/C. I can adjust the fan speed and the defrost/dash vents/foot heater position controls, but no matter how far I turn the cold/hot dial left or right, the temp is the same. Even in the Max and Norm A/C setting, it's the same temp, which is stuck in the hot range.

When the lever is in low beam mode I have no headlights or fog lights. (parking lights fine.)
When the lever is forward in high beam mode I have no headlights or fog lights. (parking lights fine.)
But if I hold the lever back in "fash the high beam" mode the high beams turn on. This got me home last night, but I don't know where to start looking for the issue?
Faulty relay? Faulty switch? Something else?

Owned my 2009 for 6 months now. Ever since purchasing it, car will vibrate significantly at highway speeds when first driving it, then decrease by 90% after a few miles. At first, since I purchased in winter, thought it was cold flat spots on tires. Dealer changed tires 3 times, finally with a new set of Turanza OEM tires. Still does it.
Service manager said he drove new 460's and they all do the same thing for a few miles. I have seen other comments on internet from other owners who report the same phenomenon. Don't think it is the tires since we went through 3 sets and it still does it in the summer. What else could cause a vibration until the car is warmed up?
My AC started blowing cool air last summer.My wife who drives it daily noticed that it wasn't as cold as when we first got it.I was making an appointment to take it in when the clock spring broke and we got all sorts of lights on the dashboard.It was still under warranty when I took it in and they gave us a loaner car.They told us that they changed the compressor,clock spring(which he said was a common thing to go on cars) there was also a trouble code on the turbo. That took them the longest to fix
.They ended up replacing a sensor and then found out it was bad wiring. Fast forward almost a year later and the weather is starting to get warm again here in NYC. I tested the AC and it is blowing cool air again. This time I put a thermometer in the center vent and it is blowing about 54.8 F after 5 minutes. The outside temp was 66.F. I called the dealer and took it in after work today and the service adviser said that 54.8 F was within range.I insisted that they keep it over night and have a tech check it and also do an oil change in the morning since it has 30K miles on it.I was time for one again. My question is... what the temperature range is for the AC in my Tiguan?
I made him give my wife another loaner (2016 Jetta) and when she got home I put the same thermometer in the center vent and it was blowing 40.2 F after 5 minutes.Much colder than my Tiguan. I want to make sure that they don't recharge the AC and we make it through the summer and we will be back to the dealer next year.This time the warranty will have expired.I don't have an extended warranty.I just got a bad vibe from this guy at the dealer.
Looking for any tricks on increasing the range for remote start? Mine works great from house kitchen window to a detached garage, but would be nice if it would work through the window of a 2nd floor office building to the parking lot below. I see my lights blink when I remote lock the doors from up there, but the start wont catch. Tried a new fob battery---no luck.
Is it possible to add an antenna to the receiver in the truck (&where is the remote start receiver anyway?) Or maybe a handheld antenna near the fob?
Had a good half inch of freezing rain on the window after work today, & the remote start wouldn't work from the office--kinda useless.
Just bought a used 2012 IS-F 1-owner with 37k miles. Clean Carfax and AutoCheck - very, very clean car.
Test drove it with my wife, fell instantly in love, and signed the paperwork. As part of the dealer delivery, they gave a full tank of gas and washed/waxed the car.
While enjoying the 8 mile drive home in 5:00 traffic, regular speeds of 40-50 mph without any start/stop on the freeway and surface roads, I noticed that the range (distance to empty) on the full tank was only 169 miles!
I realize this is a hi performance V8 - but c'mon! Is there something wrong with the car?
Need to adjust doors for a tighter fit? When going over bumps, I'm hearing fabric-rubbing-noise from the driver door and passenger rear door.
