View 14 RepliesMy research showed some of this happening on some of the older Lexus but couldn't find any on the IS that are this new.
I plan on taking it in and hoping to have them replace under warranty. Just seems kind of odd with only 20K miles. I have never used anything other than water and a micro to clean the seats.

My 2009 SE V6, I have the grey cloth/leather combo and the drivers seat is pretty much cracking. I am not sure if it is cheap or the unusually cold winters we had here in MD. The car has 28,000. I am going to show to the dealer because in the cracks, the dye is coming off. I had a Trailblazer LTZ for 3 years and never seen that happen but it was tan leather.
Second, my car at higher speeds has a lot of wind noise, I think it is the mirrors. I am going back to the dealer for my 30k gouging soon and I will show them the seat again.
I get a annoying cracking noise when I am driving and it is hot outside, have not noticed it in cooler weather, but as soon as the car has been sitting for hours in the heat and I start driving the dashboard seems to crack every few minutes. it seems like it happened on the corners where the tweeters are. I also get a crackiling sound when driving, sounds like rocks are hitting my window.
View 2 RepliesMy 2 week old IS 350 Ultra white/Red F sport is in the shop for the rattle that feels to me to be under the car under the driver's seat. The dealer cannot figure out the problem after a day, so is keeping my new car. At least they were able to hear the rattle.
View 1 RepliesHas there been a proven methods for turning off the pesky seat belt alarm? I just recently picked up 2015 IS350 and I'm not a big fan of being told what to do, especially my car telling me to put my seatbelt on. My 2011 ISF was supper easy. I have done some digging and all I have come up with is that the dealer has to do it.
View 4 RepliesI had a couple people in the bed of my new F150 SCrew with the 5.5 ft. bed and it sounded like the metal was cracking as they walked around in the bed. Is that normal? It didn't sound good.
View 7 Replies2015 IS 350 F sport RWD ... Experience a false seat belt indicator tone while driving? This happens very rarely like 1-2 a month. Only had the vehicle for 3 months. Only on the driver side. When the seat belt indicator goes off I wiggle the seat belt buckle and the indicator goes away.
View 7 RepliesMy wife is very short and when she drives has the seat in a very high and upright position. We realized that she has to be careful because the driver seat headrest will push against the headliner. I think the adjustment range could have been better planned. Our last car would not allow this to happen.
View 3 RepliesI have 2014 gx 460 . I want control rear DVDs system in the font seat . But in screen don't show rear system . How can I do ?
View 8 RepliesTaking this part out of their truck, my speaker is cracking bad at low volume, thinking maybe I can play with the wires some.
Just wondering if there is any clips on this part, before I knock off a six pack and go caveman on it.
I own a fully loaded 2014 Lexus IS350F and noticed the Enform/Radio/Nav has about a 2 minute delay of booting up when the car is first started. I literally can't change the audio source, make a call, etc for nearly 2 minutes. I never experienced this on any other car. My 2007 Acura TLS was instantaneous. What's the deal with Lexus?
Also I noticed the Nav system does voice commands over the radio rather than muting the music. Any way to change that? Some odd choices Lexus made here and I hope I can tweak.
I had my 350 for about 5-6 months? Started two months ago when the brakes started to squeal coming down from my driveway and sometimes when I release the brake at a light. First I thought it was because of the cold but it started to get warmer and the problem is still here.
View 5 RepliesAfter about one year on driving (about 25000 km) my factory blades began painting rainbows on the windshield. These original Denso-made wipers were really good, survived almost two full winter seasons. I replaced them with the highly regarded PIAA silicone blades - the Aero Vogue hybrid ones. Will see how long they will last.
The upper blade is PIAA, the lower is factory installed Denso one.
I got my car today and am a little annoyed. When the car is started the navigation turns on and displays my Dealerships Name and Picture. Is there any way to get this removed and do I have to go back to have them take this off?
View 12 RepliesI have noticed new drivers seat squeak. It only happens with weight transfer side to side at lower speeds ( hard right and hard left below 30 mph, or entering a driveway). I have looked at several posts and it seems like people have had luck with simply tightening the bolts for the seat.
Well I did that and it still making the noise. I have isolated the noise to the lower part of the seat right behind the molding. Behind the molding and behind the seat control switches there is a white box for the switches. It seems like the noise is coming from there. I noticed that if I pop off the control switches and I loosen the screws for the control switches the noise gets a touch better.
I took it to the dealership and they told me they tried to add some oil between the leather and the molding but it did nothing since the source seems to be behind the molding.
So I got my IS350 F-Sport AWD a couple weeks ago and I'm loving it so far. I just passed the break in period a few days ago . I just had a question about something happened today though. Basically I was on the highway and I was coming off of an off-ramp at about 90 km/h (~55 mph). This was a relatively sharp ramp but I was slowing down as I entered it. Anyway, the car started beeping and I saw a red message in the center of the gauge.
Unfortunately, it was there for a split second and I didn't get to read what it said. Later, after parking the car, I checked the "messages" view in the gauge cluster and there was nothing there. There was also no check engine light or anything on after either. The car seemed to drive normally before, during, and after that. Was it the VSC/TC system? Or is it something else?
I believe this is what I saw. Is it possible for it to have detected the curb coming up and that I was going fast? Does the Canadian F-Sport 3 package even have a PCS? I don't see anything about a PCS when I look at what's included in the package, but I know that it does have the radar cruise control/rear cross-traffic alerts so it doesn't seem out of the question that it could detect the curb.
I have vossen cv3 with Kumho ecsta 245/30/22 front and 295/25/22 rear they are only 6 months old and the front tire inner sidewalks are cracking.
View 14 RepliesI got into my car headed to work this morning and after backing out of the garage, noticed that my dash is cracking and peeling up around the windshield. (2008 600h L)
I had the windows tinted about a week ago, and am wondering if they could have dropped or left some sort of cleaner or chemicals on the dash.
I have a high mileage 2002 SC430.
I have noticed that when I start the engine on a cold morning and start driving right away I hear a distinct "cracking" sound from behind the air vents (dash area) when accelerating. This only occurs when the engine is cold and when I am accelerating, this does not occur when the car is parked (I have not tried revving the engine when the car is parked, since it doesn't seem like a good idea).
A a side note, I do typically move the temperature setting to the max of 85 degrees on cold mornings, but the cracking sound often comes up 5-10 minutes after I change the temperature setting. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it.
So I've been getting this weird cracking noise from inside my car. Sounds like its coming from the rear side of the headliner. This always happens when I'm turning in or out of a driveway or over a speed bump. What it could be. Usually at low speeds and usually when I'm turning. It is very annoying!
