I have a 2014 IS350. Is there a way to roll the windows up and down with the remote? My friend has and Acura that can roll the windows up and down with the remote. He holds the lock or unlock buttons to adjust them.
View 5 RepliesI was minding my own business when my 2002 Audi A4 started acting up. All of these issues occur on an intermittent basis.
First, none of the windows roll down.
Second, the interior lights come on and stay on even when the doors are closed.
Third, the obnoxious seat belt warning beep stays on even when my seat belt is on and the doors are closed.
Fourth, the remote control will not lock the car (although the key works).
Fifth, the remote control will not unlock the trunk.
All of these seem to happen at the same time. My car is silver color.

worked great the first time... then the 2nd time I tried it the passenger rear window would not roll up... 3rd time the driver passenger window would not roll up...

View 9 RepliesI just bought a 2008 Passat last week, and am still learning all the features in the car. I previously had an '05 Jetta, and I was able to remotely open all of the windows by holding the key in the unlock position.
My manual says that I can roll down all of the windows from the remote by holding the unlock key on the remote, but it doesn't work. I have even checked the settings to make sure that the "Convenience" option is set to "All" windows. Am I missing something? What do I have to do to get the windows opened / closed remotely?
Is there a way to mod the automatic windows up and down. What I mean is that If i arm the alarm with remote, all four windows will automatic roll up. The honda accord has the function which will roll down the windows by the remote before you enter.
View 13 RepliesOn my is, I can remotely open and close the windows and sunroof with my key, by holding the buttons for several seconds.
I seem to remember that this function was engaged by my dealership. however i do not like this function, as I always carry my key in my pocket, and have several times opened the windows by accident because the key button have been pressed while i have the key inside my pocket.
I want disengage this function, preferably without visiting my dealership. Any step by step manual or how to do instruction? Does not say anything about how to do this in the cars manual.
Anyway, just bought an 09 Expedition EL Limited. I ran through every button and function I could find at the dealership and it all worked great.
The next morning I went to roll the driver's window down and it makes a noise like it's going to start, but barely moves - if at all, then stops. Same with the front passenger. Rear windows worked fine. It was freezing and snow-covered at the time.
Yesterday (warmer and sunnier), all windows worked perfectly fine - just like they did at the dealership. The only thing that changed was the temperature.
My windows does not all go down when I hold unlock on my fob and how can I change setting for the car not to unlock when putting in park and when opening the door manually all inside locks would open too. My 2011 didn't have a manual.

View 14 RepliesPassengers windows won't roll down from driver side master controls. If I go on singulars doors all windows roll down/up perfectly. From master control drivers position I can only roll down/up my window.
I have already reset all windows... sun roof too. Tried to disconnect battery 10 minutes and then reset all windows another time.
If I use the command key for roll down/up all windows together the car roll down/up only drivers window and sun roof.
I have a 2004 lexus rx 300.
My dad drove the RX350 to get some groceries last night and was shocked to see all the windows and moon roof was open after he came out of the store...
My guess is something was pressed against the unlock key on the remote when he was exiting the car and walk toward the supermarket entrance and triggered the all window open from remote...
Fortunately, nothing was stolen but he was shocked...I think I will have the dealer program the RX and disable this feature...
However, I was also shocked that we can only open all the windows but not close them w/ the remote...seems like a bad design...if you can open windows from the remote...you would think you can close all the windows too right??
I've had every lexus model (besides the LFA) and I just purchased another GS 350. Now I know I know....dealership can set the settings for my unlock button to automatically set my windows down and sunroof back. But as we all know going to the dealership for anything is so annoying. That being said.... How to set/program it?
View 6 RepliesMy IS has the feature where I can open all of the windows and the sunroof by holding the remote unlock button which has come in real handy during this extended heat wave in the Midwest. But, I can't find out whether or not this feature is on my 2012 LS 460.

Other cars I have seen will allow you to use the remote and close all windows and moon roof. Looking at the LS460 manual it looks like the dealer can program our remote to open the windows and moon roof with the remote. But it does not say anything about closing.
Also a question on the Navigation. Can you change the default screen to the Information screen? Mine always goes straight to the map when I start up. Could not find a place to change it.
I had been waiting a long time for a remote start solution to be available for my 2014 IS-250 with navigation. I finally saw idatalink released a firmware for their ADS-ALCA bypass module that allows you to add a remote start that is triggered by the factory keypad. It was a fairly easy installation and it started up right away. I do have car installation experience, but I didnt find the installation to be that difficult in general.

View 14 RepliesI drive a 2011 GTI. The other day I left my car parked in the sun for a while so it was all hot and stuffy inside when i came back. I rolled down all four windows and then pulled out the key after they were all the way down. Within like 3-5 sec, all four windows rolled back up by themselves.
This kinda threw me off cause I didn't expect that to happen. I tried to show my friend later to impress him but it didn't do it. So im thinking whether that was just one of those freaking moments that only happens once, or is this an actual feature that comes in the GTIs.
