Recently been having a rattle sound from the inside ( passenger front side ) sounds like the door card area? Haven't been able to figure it out. Only happens when I accelerate "strongly". Have had my JoeZ axle back for a nice amount of time. Happens once in a while, not every time.
View 3 RepliesI had this plastic on plastic sound on the passenger side dashboard...this started last weekend when it was cold outside and drove me crazy, I looked around and came up with this piece of foam under the hood and windshield bezel next to the hood hinge....After a few field adjustments on this piece of foam I took my truck for a test drive and its gone....for now!
View 2 RepliesI have a 2014 IS350 AWD F-sport and I recently just noticed a weird sound coming from the right side of the car. I can only hear it from inside the cabin, when windows are opened it can't be heard. It sounds like something is lose or rattling, but only happens around 3k+ rpm. Speed does not matter, I've tried revving very slowly in park all the way up to 4k rpm and it can be heard.
View 4 RepliesJust took my 2014 F150 FX4 to the dealer for a rattle in the front and rear passenger side doors that rattle with the windows down . Sounds bad when you close the door. Dealer told me it was normal. So here I am with a 50,000 dollar truck with 5,000 miles on it and they say that's normal even tho the drivers side doors do not make this noise. Not really happy with FMC these days.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2002 F150 Lariat Supercrew, and suddenly a bad rattle developed inside the passenger side door. The window still works fine, but I'm afraid it won't much longer. I have taken the panel off, and can reach into one of the supports and mimic the rattle. When you shut the door, it sounds like the glass is going to fall out. I had to replace the motor on the driver's side door a couple of years ago, and I'm hoping to prevent another window sliding down inside the door. How to fix this situation? I haven't been able to feel anything that may have come loose.

My sc430 is giving a loud pop right over passenger's side from roof, whenever my car goes over a bump or rough road. I think it's where the front hardtop latches are. Only on the driver's side. It's a loud pop sound.
Does this have something to do with the latch, or latch motors, that closes the power roof ? Would it work if I tighten the retractable top by turning the rubber button in the center back of the car, the one that exposes during roof operation as outlined by other posters here?
I picked up my 2014 Tiguan about a month and a half ago, and I am experiencing a tinny rattle from the front-passenger side door...and sometimes from the rear passenger door (or at least it seems that way). It is intermittent. Sometimes it is very slight, sometimes it is quite noticeable on acceleration in colder weather, and sometimes it is just not there. It is, however, bothersome...especially on a new car with 1400K miles. It is also the kind of problem that, in my experience, is hard for technicians to locate and fix. Where it might be emanating. Is it is a common problem with this line of VW?
View 4 RepliesJust put on new wheels 19x8.5 all around on 235/35/19s. Figured to have no issues, not super low or anything. Passenger side front tire is rubbing on the inside well pretty good. Not on fenders as far as I can tell, just the actual inside of the wheel well. Fender liner is already out on that side as well. Not a thing on drivers side though, and the liner is still in. Thinking maybe just need an alignment.
View 4 RepliesI just got a call from my VW Dealer. He stated that while performing my 10k service, he noticed that there was a crack on my lower engine cover (splash guard) on my front passenger side and that the tire was worn on the inside almost to the metal. He stated that a driver must of hit a curb or a pot hole at a high speed to cause this type of damage... My wife and myself are the only ones who drive it and we are sure we have not hit any curbs or gone over any pot holes at HIGH speeds... some pot holes but nothing my old jeep couldn't handle...
My complaint is that I was hoping that the TReg would turn out to be the off road beast that VW has advertised it to be, but am disappointed that only after 10k miles I need an alignment and a tire change and have not even been off road... what should I expect in the years to come.. I am hoping to not have to treat this Truck like a car...
I've got a issue on the passenger side interior of my car that only seems to happen when it's cold/cool. I can hear a rattle coming from something plastic. I've turned off the radio and emptied the glovebox to ensure they weren't at fault.
Here is a recording I made last night with my phone. There was a decent amount of road noise on I-295, but when listening just now from stereo desktop speakers, I could hear the sound.
It's a metal on metal rattle sound when I'm going slower speeds and paved residential streets that are a little rough. passenger front is where it seems to be coming from. I can almost know when it's going to do it when I'm coming up on a rough spot on the road. super frustrating. Started noticing if after my mechanic replaced both front springs when my driver side spring broke. Took it back to him and he couldn't hear it and made sure everything was tight. What it could be. Thought maybe stabalizer link but not sure how to tell if it's bad.

At first I thought my shock/struts went bad and i had it inspect and they are good, ball joint and control arms also good. However, I do not know if strut mount is bad or not. When I go over small cracks i can hear rattles inside but when i let my windows down I hear less. I do not know if the window or door has to do something with it. It seems like coming from passenger side. Btw sometimes i do feel even dashboard rattles a bit.

View 7 Replies2008 F150 4x4 27000 mi There is an intermittent metallic /rattle sound (like marbles or a chain in a can) seems to be coming from front passenger side; sometimes on first acceleration , sometimes after turning a corner, sometimes after hitting a bump. Doesn't last more than a few seconds Had my mechanic friend look at it on hoist and no apparent loose parts in exhaust system or breaks; 1st noticed it last August ( 7000 miles ago) but it subsides and then reappears with no distinct pattern. best guess is a bad wheel bearing but it's never gotten any worse; other guess is transfer case/ chain problem but 4x4 use isn't much and it goes in and out of 4x4 mode with no problems.
View 2 RepliesI have recently replaced all 4 struts in my car with monroe quick struts. I have a 2002 Accord. Everything went wonderful until a few weeks later I heard a rattle from the front passenger side. Its a light "tinny" rattle, almost as if a bolt was loose and it was jiggling around. It doesn't happen every time and sometimes goes away altogether. I took it to my trusted mechanic, and they spend a good 45 minutes inside looking at things and overtightened everything to no avail. I have ruled out a defective strut (as I replaced it with one and the new one does the same thing) and I ruled out the stabilizer bar bushing (brand new OEM part I installed) and I ruled out the sway bar link (also new).
View 4 RepliesMy 2 week old IS 350 Ultra white/Red F sport is in the shop for the rattle that feels to me to be under the car under the driver's seat. The dealer cannot figure out the problem after a day, so is keeping my new car. At least they were able to hear the rattle.

View 4 RepliesMy 2002 SC 430 has a rattle in the vicinity of the passenger side speaker. I have isolated it to this area because the rattle stops as soon as I turn off the sound system. How to remove the speaker grille and poke around? The grille itself does not seem to be loose.
