I have a 2015 IS350 FSport. I drive full automatic in Sport+ mode, and I notice whenever I decelerate, the RPM would spike up around 200rpm and back to normal within second. It is consistently when the gears are changing down. Is this normal?

View 4 RepliesDad's 2000 F150 5.4 ltr will start intermittently, when it does fire it runs fine, but right after start up all the dash gauges "spike" to the max levels for a sec and then go back down to normal....
Put the Cen-Tec 98614 code reader on and it continues to say "Link error" and I can't communicate to the interface. P.S., I confirmed the Code reader is good by pulling a 420 O2 sensor code from my Toyota in just a few seconds....
I can hear the fuel pump kick in so I doubt that is the culprit. Because of the gauge spike at start up (every time) this problem screams grounding problem, but I don't know where to start. Could it be a faulty relay?
So over the last few months I have been having more and more idling and power loss issues with my 2006 V6. When idling she intermittently will try to stall and the rpms will drop below 500 and then spike back up. A large percentage of the time I hear a loud whining sound while driving down the road and I notice that turning off the air conditioner will remove the sound at times.

Idler Pulley
Belt tensioner
sepentine belt
cleaned MAF
Cleaned Throttle body
Throttle Position Sensor
Had car reprogrammed
So I pulled the belt off and checked all the pulleys and did notice some grittiness in the AC pulley (inner) and was wondering if this might be the issue. Attached is a video I uploaded, Video .....
I have an issue with my 2009 F150 Platinum. I'm hearing this whining noise when I decelerate. This seems to be the only time I hear it, not while accelerating, so I want to rule out the transmission but it may be a drivetrain problem.
View 14 RepliesThe last few days I've noticed an extremely rough ride when in Normal Mode. In sport + mode I noticed a bit of a smoother ride where the bumps weren't as harsh. Which is the complete opposite of what's supposed to happen. My tire pressure is 36 and reaches 39-40 when hot. No clue why this is happening, should I be worried ? Should I lower the tire pressure a little maybe to much air is causing the harsh ride? Or should I reset the battery because my car is stuck in sport + mode when it should be normal.

View 2 RepliesTwo weeks ago, I purchased a pre owned/certified 2014 GS 350 F Sport and about a week later my parents purchased a pre owned/certified 2014 GS 350. When driving the GS 350 in normal mode, my parents, my son, and I find the acceleration to be slower than that of my F Sport (also driven in normal mode). When we asked the dealer about the different feel of acceleration, they insist that the acceleration should be the same as the engines are identical. The acceleration in the GS 350 in normal mode feels like acceleration in my F Sport in Eco mode.

View 1 RepliesI got the JoeZ PTS axle back exhaust for 2014 IS350 and so happy with it. Last week, another dude hit me from behind and the right exhaust pushed back, not center aligned with the lower bumper anymore.
Is there any way that I can straighten it back again or have to get the new exhaust. The car is still drivable but sometimes I heard weird noises, not from the exhaust it self but probably from the connection to the mid pipe.
I've been having this issue randomly with my car. Usually after I turned off the car with Climate system on it will come back on with car starting, but sometime it would not.

View 2 RepliesI would like to tachometer to slide to the right by default so I can see the extra menus and pop up displays. Every time I start my engine, I need to press the menu button on the steering to slide the tachometer to the right and when I turn off the engine, it automatically slides back to the middle. How can I keep it set to slide to the right by default?

I figured we'll I should buy a better brand this time which my brother recommended cause I was going to buy another Infiniti I always had good things with those cars. But the last 2 nights I have been hearing a squeaking noise in my rear end of my brand new IS 350 F Sport. Only in sport plus mode. I was driving home from work at 2 am and driving through a canyon road cause I want to see how this car does as soon as the road got a little bumpy I was hearing a squeaking noise come out of the rear of the car. Then I get home and I hear it going over my speed bumps in my complex of my condos. So I think we'll that's odd. I take it out of sport plus mode and back to eco and drive around the complex again and it goes away. Remind you I have 484 miles on the car.
View 3 RepliesSo after installing my JoeZ axle back for about 5k miles I noticed there was an issue. The check engine light was going on but turning off randomly. I finally decided to take the car to the dealer for them to check out. So what the dealer said is that the JoeZ exhaust "direct bolt-on bolts" restricted flexibility and caused leaks in the front cats. He said that the stock exhaust screws had the springs on it to allow flexibility when hitting dips/potholes. With that said, He recommended switching the front two gaskets and using the stock "spring screws."
I was wondering, encountered this problem with the bolts that came with the JoeZ axle back? I bought the JoeZ off a user here and it came with bolts, which i assumed came with the exhaust when it was purchased new. Not even sure if the bolts he gave me was correct, or if i just made the mistake of not using stock bolts.
When backing out of same parking spot, I always hear a clunk, clunk, clunk, noise in the front while turning the steering while back in the fixed position. I have heard this noise in the past but did not think any thing of it.
It's hard reproduce this noise, it seems to only be happening when backing out and turning the steering wheel. Car only has a little over one thousand miles.
2004 silverado, 2wd, V6, 150,000 miles on it. New plugs and wires 2 years ago. New fuel pump and fuel filter last summer. Truck was running fine but I did notice the last couple of mornings while I was driving the headlights would dim a little bit then go back to normal. Yesterday afternoon it started like it was 15 below out. Turned over kinda slow. But it wasn't that cold out. Anyway the headlights and dash lights were really dim. I got the truck in the driveway, revved the engine and they didn't get any brighter. The truck started running ruff and eventually quit. When I tried to restart it, it just clicked. When I turned the key off the dash lights got bright again.
View 5 RepliesSo my understanding is the water temp gauge at 200 degrees is pretty much spot on. The last three days I notice the temp gauge go to 200 then up to 240 which is like just one line away from the red zone. I turned on my heat full blast and was on the tollway and the temps went back to 200. The moment I got back into stop and go traffic the temp goes up again 220-240 range. Again, one line away from the red zone. No other alarms or dash messages come up. No smell of anti-freeze.
As well, the oil temp which was always at 200 has done the same thing. Running over 200 in the 220 plus range. Could this just be low anti-freeze? If so, would I not get a dash warning light?
I was driving at 60mph and all of sudden rpm drop to zero went back to normal rpm after 5 seconds, pulled over thinking I blew some thing every thing seem normal is this a sensor problem.

I have just bought a camry-LE 2010 that has high millage on it which is 120,000mi. when i tested the car, it seemed fine but after long drive I discoverer something. When i am driving at speed 45 - 50 and stabilize the pressing of the accelerator, I feel the car shaking for few second then return back to its normal mode . I do not why I feel something wrong with the engine.
