Just got my new wheels. Put them on and synced the TPMS sensors. After a mile or so this alert comes on. If I turn of the car it goes away, until I drive another mile.
I got 20" wheels with 225-30-20 and 255-30-20. I see others with AWD on the forum running that setup.
Today I received a “CHECK AWD SYSTEM” warning message. Car seems to be driving okay.

Since the RV mirror failed as well apparently the system is not getting the light sensor signal from the mirror and brings up the HL error. Where is the RV mirror fuse? I took off the fuse cover to the left under the steering column but can't find it. It's not practical to unplug and check all 26 fuses, owner manual is useless...
View 6 RepliesI have Lexus 460 LS L 2007. Few months back changed the battery and every thing was ok. 2 months after I had problem in the sound system ( radio and dvd ) which was on and off. One month back suddenly I had all the warning lights in the dashboard on with massage saying that that the brake system is malfunctioning and check the ABS system.
I took the car to LEXUS dealer and they reprogrammed the computer abd then every thing went back to normal and the problem fixed. Two days after I had these warning lights again with the same massege. I do not know what to do ??
Heard a noise coming from the wheels? Sometimes it's a squeak, sometimes it sounds like sandpaper going over wood. Makes the car sound really old when cruising. I set an appointment to have it checked, but if they don't hear it, are they not going to do anything? I used to own VW/Audi cars, and they would just say perform as specifications, no issue found. I'm worried that Lexus will do the same. I drove off from the dealer, and there it was again. My car is only several months old with 2500 miles on it...

View 10 RepliesFor 2 weeks the check turn signals alert and chime has been going on in my '04 V8 when the emergency flashers are on (I was in a funeral procession) moving forward or if the right directional is on and I am turning right. If the left directional is on and I am turning left, the alert does not go off. All bulbs are working properly.
View 2 RepliesTook our 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan to a tire shop today. One sensor battery is completely dead, and when replaced, the other 3 batteries were too weak remove the alert from the information panel. Cost to repair all 4 is $400. Decided to live with the alert and they graciously put the bad sensor back in. Is there any way to disable the system? I check tire pressures regularly anyway. The continuous alert is agrivating.
View 5 RepliesBeen driving my 2002 Prius since January 2005 and I've never heard this noise. It first happened Sunday as I was driving down the road, then this morning (twice) as I started the car. It lasts about 15 seconds for several "rings" of a shrill, electronic (definitely NOT mechanical) sound that reminds me of Emergency Broadcast System tests on the radio, or a really annoying cell phone ring. No visual warnings or lights are displayed (well, the Check Engine light is on, but it's always on, and my local Toyota dealership has been unable to shed any light).
View 3 RepliesFor the last several days, most of the times I've started my car I've had the Red "Check Coolant Level" message on the MFD - accompanied by a tone / chime.
The first time it happened, I was a tad below Min, so I added a 'glug' of G13 to push it back up into the normal range. Everytime I've checked it since, the level is in the normal range.
So how is the level "sensed"? I had a new coolant reservoir put in about 18 months ago, so my "hope" is that it's not actually that (though those are really cheap).
Is there something else I should be cleaning / renewing? Maybe as simple as the electrical connection on the reservoir?
2011 Honda CRV. Put in a new air filter. Due to cramped quarters, had to disconnect a wire (coupling) to lid of air filter housing, remove hose clamp to remove housing so I could put in filter. Engine off, etc. Put it all back. Started up, now I have a check engine light (picture of engine plus vehicle stabilization alert). Will all this go away after a few restarts or does it have to be actively cleared?
View 10 RepliesSo I'm new to the all time awd car thing. I came from a 4x4 truck which 4x4 was never engaged on pavement or in tight cornering. When maneuvering my is250 awd in tight spots ie. parking lots and the front wheels are at full lock in either forward or reverse there is a slight binding/grinding feeling or faint noise. Is this normal on an awd car or Lexus specific??? Did a quick search and didn't find much about this issue. I'm pretty sure its not tire rub.....stock set up.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2011 F-150 Supercab 4x4 and the brake warning system is starting to drive me nuts. A couple of months ago the warning light came on along with a message to check brake system. I didn't find anything wrong, even flushed the hydraulic system. all seemed OK. Now the warning came back on, the message center will reset and the warning light will reset after shutting off the truck.
I can drive in city/town and the warning does not come on. But if I drive open road for about 30 miles with out using the brakes I get the warning again. I'll reset the message center and it'll clear, then about every 10 miles it chimes and shows to check brake system. It is strange that that I can drive hundred of miles in town using the brakes and not warning but get on the open road and not using the brakes I get the warning after 30 miles.
I just bought a used 2012 Toyota Prius iTech from a country town 3 hours away. About an hour into the drive home, the display informed me to "Check Hybrid System" and then "Check PCS System". The car continued to function for a little while, then eventually lost acceleration, so I pulled over. I turned it off and on again; the warning light remained but the car started and continued to work, but soon after I lost acceleration again. This happened one more time.
Then I Googled the problem and discovered that you could "turn it off and on again three times to reset the computer". I did this and the problem disappeared and did not resurface for the remainder of the trip, and has not happened again since.
I have a 2010 rx 350 and my wife was in a little bump with the garage. There is a small crack in the right headlight and I sealed it but some dirt has now entered and now the light comes on to "Check AFS System" It is costly at the dealer so I am looking for replacement light. In the meantime, is there a way to shut that off the main cluster as it's terribly annoying...

What differences can I expect on the 18" wheels vs. what the 17" gives now?
2009 F-150 FX4 5.8 .... Had a couple days of 20's temps, started truck last night and I have the brakes symbol and ABS light staying on, with the message "Check brake system" and the traction control symbol alternating back and forth. On a 16 mile trip, they all went out just once, for about ten seconds when I restarted at the gas station. Then came back on. Brake job done within the last two years by previous owner at the dealership.
View 2 RepliesMy 2015 Lexus RX 350 has been indicating "Check AWD system, TRAC off" for sometime now. It all started when I overfilled the tank and it spilled over. The indicator came on after about 12 hours. What may be responsible. The car is barely 6 months old and don't know what to do right now.
