Last month I got that update when I turned on my IS and after the update it changed the nav layout while I am driving. I can't figure out where to change it back where only the map is shown while I drive on the highway. It only splits into two screens while I am on the highway and it shows how far away each exit is. View 14 Replies2006 GS300 ... Car died while driving at about 25 mph - Car was in Drive (D) when died and wife put into park (P) after she coasted into parking lot. To load onto flatbed had to use manual shift lock release to get to neutral. Battery was completely dead--Optima Red Top.
Changed battery and dash lights came on a system Navigation unit showed system loading and not to turn off power - it loaded and when I tried to start the car it would not start. Put car into neutral to eliminate the Park sensor issue and still would not start. ALL lights and systems are very bright as they should be and I hear a faint hum which almost sounds like a fuel pump staying on but in the engine compartment/dash area---very faint hum.
Tried disconnecting battery a few times and to allow ECU to reset and still would not reset. Prior to this the car was having the VSC issue with the transmission not shifting past 3rd - I know the solenoid packs are probably bad but not sure this would affect the engine start up.
Tried both remotes to make sure it saw key. It acts almost like it is not seeing a safe to start (not in Park) or neutral....
Found this a few weeks back and the guy still has it. He just keeps re-listing it and I keep seeing it. Since I need to slow down and just chill for a bit could I snag this and bolt it up? Might give me enough powah to make me feel like I have a 6.0 for a few weeks

Was driving through a parking lot at around 10 MPH today, when the car shut itself off. Zero power to the wheels, steering lost all power, and the electronic screens went blank momentarily. While the car was coasting to a stop, a message appeared in the center "information display" that read something to the effect of "Place your car in N and hit the start button to restart your car." While I was still coasting to a stop I did, and the car fired back up.
Just over 8 months and 9K miles on the car, and I'm hoping it's an anomaly. For the next 10 miles, I was just waiting for the thing to power off at 65MPH on the freeway.
Any way to drive the car with only the DRL LED strips and fog lights on only? Kind of like BMW can run with the halo lights and fog lights. Is there any computer remapping I can do or any rewiring?

View 11 RepliesI let a friend drive my is350 awd. He usually drives manual so I pretty much assumed he would be comfortable with tiptronic. I put the car in tiptronic at a red light and then he started to try and shift the gears as if it was a manual. He accidentally put the car into PARK as it was driving at about 50 km/h. This lasted for about 20 seconds before I was able to put the car back into Drive. Soon after we parked the car back into my garage, I am pretty worried as I know this isn't supposed to happen and I don't know how back the car could be messed up.
I currently only have 500 km on the odometer.
I started noticing about a year ago that when I drive my car, it pull to the right. This occurs at any speed. Every time I've gone in for service, I've asked them about this and multiple customer service reps have basically said "that's how this type of car drives". I've had them actually check the alignment as well, and only a couple of times have they had to adjust it, but it still seems to pull towards the right.

View 10 RepliesTook the car on the hwy earlier today. A/C was on and wss going about 60 mph when all of a sudden I got this horrible burning rubber smell inside the cabin.
I exited the freeway and the smell eventually subsided. I'll try again tomorrow to see if the smells comes back.
I have about 1000 miles on my 350 F Sport AWD, whining noise. When I am driving with any pressure on the gas epedal, I hear a high-pitched whine in the cabin. If I take pressure off the gas pedal, the sound stops. It comes back as soon as I touch the gas pedal. The sound seems to be coming from the rear of the car, and it happens whether the audio is on or off.

View 8 RepliesSo I took my truck in for a couple issues, they said it took them 10 tries to reload the firmware but it was finally successful. Apparently Not!
The navi is now worse than before. Before it would just randomly black screen ---> come back to frozen map ---> audio resumes ---> legal notice displays ---->back to real-time GPS on correct course.
Now it does all that, but resumes on the wrong course! I mean it shows me somewhere 1 or 2 miles off in some random direction.
Maybe they ran out of real Lexus units when they were building mine and installed some cheap no-name knock-off they ordered from K-Mart?
I wonder what the next steps are? I'd hate for them to have to tear into the dash and replace the whole thing. But this is unacceptable. Not super-impressed with Lexus' legendary quality so far.
Having issues with their navigation screen in the '14 IS. Twice now in the last week, while driving, it has reset. The screen goes black, music/radio turns off, and then everything comes back up after a second or two like nothing happened. Also, probably just a coincidence, but both times it happened in roughly the same location on my drive to work.

View 14 Replies2015 IS 350 F sport RWD ... Experience a false seat belt indicator tone while driving? This happens very rarely like 1-2 a month. Only had the vehicle for 3 months. Only on the driver side. When the seat belt indicator goes off I wiggle the seat belt buckle and the indicator goes away.
