I have a 14 IS 350. How do I set the lane departure to beep or chime when I'm getting ready to get in another lane and a car is in that lane? I know it beeps when I am reversing and a car is passing.
View 2 RepliesI've read that the driver gets a warning if the lane marker is crossed without the turn signal operating. If you pull out to pass a car and don't use the turn signal does it give a warning the entire time you're in the "wrong lane" ? Does the warning stop when you're back in the lane you left?
View 4 RepliesI have a new 2016 Toyota Camry XLE V6 with all available options. I have been disappointed with the Lane Departure feature. In this colder weather in the morning when you start the car it seems like the windshield inside the enclosure above the rear view mirror clouds up because of the difference in temperature inside and out and the Lane Departure is unavailable. Is this normal anyway?? Is the enclosure above the rear view mirror sealed air tight or not? I drove 3 hours yesterday before the sun apparently dissipated the fog in the enclosure and the Lane Departure came on.

I unlock the door, open door, and hear a chime/beep - I think its a 'single' chime/beep. Wondering what is causing this .......... I might have had a power cord plugged into the 12V accessory plug, but nothing was attached to the cord.
When the car is off and door is open the warning chime is going off nonstop. I just got it back from mechanic and I don't ever remember it being this bad but can't for the life of me remember what I did to disable it before.
View 2 RepliesI just bought a ceritifed pre-owned 2010 RX 450h. I love it, but a couple of questions as I get to know the car.
1) The rain sensor seems to not work. I set the wipers to what on another car would be "intermittent" but the wipers never come on. Am I missing something, am I a dummy? Or should I just get the dealer to replace the sensor?
2) Any way to turn off the seatbelt warning chime?
My wife has a 2008 RX350. I don't recall this vehicle having a single warning chime whenever you install/remove the key from the ignition. I can't find anything in the manual or on google. Is this normal or does it indicate a problem?
View 1 RepliesEverytime I open the door to get out of my 08 LS460 the warning bell rings incessantly.
The only thing I can think of is that I'm usually in a parking garage and the lights are on due to the auto-feature on the lights. But, I think sometimes it rings even though the lights aren't on.
Sometimes you open the door but don't jump right out of the car. Is there anyway to disable this ringing bell?
I can't find an explanation for this but I dropped the car off to have windows tinted.
This AM I picked the car up and when I press the lock button, the doors DO lock but there is no longer a chime and the lights dont flash.
I've gone into settings and made sure that that setting is turned on and it appears fine but it still doesn't work like it did yesterday.
FWIW - the chime does sound for UNLOCK, just not lock.
I want to add an in-line filter to my power steering set up. I'm replacing my pump, lines and steering box and I want to add a magnetic filter that will be easy to clean and change the filter without dumping fluid every time I want to replace the filter. I'm thinking of adding the Magnafine pro filter with aluminum billet housing. I know the plastic magnafine filters have been used alot and the knock off Raymundo's as well. Has anyone used this filter before and where did you mount it? I'm thinking of placing it between the PS reservoir and the air filter with fuel fittings and a fuel shutoff to close while swapping out the filter. Is there a better filter set up out there that I should consider?
View 11 RepliesI am curious; is it NOT suppose to beep when BSM has detected a car and you try to put blinker on? Mine just blinks the icon on the mirror, which is not nearly as noticeable as a audible sound. Also, what about the backup camera? Obviously, this car has sensors... but why don't the beep?

While driving down the highway yesterday at about 65mph I went to change lanes. As I was changing lanes I gave it a little gas. About half way through the lane change truck jerked like I had just been rear ended. I immediately checked my mirrors to see if I changed lanes in front of some body. No one was around. Truck still ran the same. Everything I'be read seems like similar thing happen to others at slower speed.
I know its included on the 2015 RX's but how we can enable/add the lane change blinker (click once and the blinker flashes 3 times) on the 2014RX? Would love this feature - I feel like its a quick plug and play relay but could be wrong.

I tried looking in the vehicle settings but could not find anything. I just want the vehicle to beep at me when fuel mileage gets low as I've gotten within less than 10 miles the last few tanks before I noticed that I need to fill up.
I just picked up a 2006 GS300 AWD and wanted to setup my phone to stream Google Play Music through the bluetooth to the head unit... Is this possible? Or am I going to have to hack into the back wires like I did with my ES300 in order to setup an AUX line and connect a bluetooth adapter?
View 7 RepliesMy drivers edition gti is 2 weeks old. In 2 occasions, when I put the car in drive, I got that warning chime and some message flash on my dash. It happens so fast that by the time I look to see what it is, it disappears. No warning message stays on, and all fluids are ok. Any clue what's going on before I take it to the dealer? Not sure if there will be a fault code.

View 5 RepliesI drive a 99 s/w 2 and this mourning when I arrived at work I got out of the vehicle and the bell that chimes when you leave the headlights on or the key in the ignition the warning chime would not turn off even though the keys were out of the ignition and the headlights were off, however it stops chiming when you shut the door.
