Picked up a 2014 IS 350 F Sport (ultra white with red interior if curious) and have been having a blast with it over the weekend. One thing I noticed yesterday though was some transmission whine when accelerating, I drove it home about 25 miles so the tranny and engine where plenty warm and checked the fluid, and between the two indicators it was touching the bottom dot.
If I remember correctly this should be an accurate reading while the engine and transmission is hot, or am I remembering wrong?
I noticed just recently my 15 IS350 F- Sport doesn't have elapsed time in the multi information display. Instead it has 2 different average fuel economy spots under Driver info 1.
I remember seeing it on a 14 IS base, is this something different 15 or F-sport? Is there a setting to get it back?
So my car is currently getting serviced and getting a new nav screen/system installed.
2014 IS350 F, Having this issue of their screen freezing then restarting?
anyway to set it up so it always starts in S or S+ mode so I don't have to always remember to do it.
View 8 RepliesIt's just the throttle response? Is steering or brakes enhanced or is it just me? I know the Is250 didn't get the suspension option like the IS350.
View 10 Repliesjust bought a 2014 is 350 with f sport package. previously had 2011 is 250. i notice more engine noise, like a rumble or slight knocking at idle. service tells me this is normal for the 350 engine and the same engine in the new gs. My 250 was very quiet. the new is 350 is still quiet but there is discernible engine noise at idle.
View 14 RepliesJust picked up '14 350 f-sport and I notice a lot of road noise after 100 miles, have about 150 miles on it now and it sounds like the front wheel bearings or maybe the tires? sounds like a rumbling coming from the front. I don't recall hearing it on the test ride, not sure if its normal or not.
View 4 RepliesExperience a grinding noise at around 1500-1800 rpm when driving?
The noise sounds like the 2nd gen valve spring start up but not as loud.
The dealer was able to replicate the noise on my car but they don't know what is causing it.
They called the regional guy to come look at it but he doesn't have a clue where or what is causing the noise.

Noise starts at around 10K-15k miles and dealer couldn't replicate it then but I hear it everyday.

Just picked up a new 2014 rx fsport and 75% of the time I release the e-brake it has a loud clunk as if metal smashing metal. I tried releasing it really slow and it still does the same. The vehicle is parked on flat pavement. It is not a low click noise that I am used to but a loud clunk.
View 6 RepliesI am feeling disappointed just came out of a lemon law suit with a kia optima I bought two years ago. I figured we'll I should buy a better brand this time which my brother recommended cause I was going to buy another Infiniti I always had good things with those cars. But the last 2 nights I have been hearing a squeaking noise in my rear end of my brand new IS 350 F Sport. Only in sport plus mode. I was driving home from work at 2 am and driving through a canyon road cause I want to see how this car does as soon as the road got a little bumpy I was hearing a squeaking noise come out of the rear of the car. Then I get home and I hear it going over my speed bumps in my complex of my condos. So I think we'll that's odd. I take it out of sport plus mode and back to eco and drive around the complex again and it goes away. Remind you I have 484 miles on the car.
View 3 RepliesJust received my car back from the service department and noticed a slight clicking sound that isn't too loud, it's mechanical sounding.. Quieter than a ball point pen retracting I'd say. It clicks every quarter of a turn while stopped and low speeds.
View 2 RepliesMy car is making this noise from the driver's front wheel when applying the brakes and EVEN CLUELESS AND SURPRISINGLY the noise shows up when cruising at low speed (haven't try freeway speed yet) without stepping on the brakes.
This just happened to me tonight, car is around 10,000 miles, I'm going to take it into the dealer to see what the hell is with Lexus. I suspect it might be the rotors and built in brake dusts, I just don't know, but the noise is unusual enough to be concern about.
I doubt it's the built in brake dusts because previously I've not washed my car/ wheel for a longer period of time, but I'm not sure. Could it just be that my rotor is done?
I know the front brakes need a replacement soon, but it shouldn't be my brakes since the noise still shows up even when I don't step on the brake pedal, unless the car brakes for me itself......
I cant take it into the dealer until weekend, hopefully it's safe to drive around within the next 2 days.
For a week now, my car whistle pretty loudly (I can hear it windows closed) when accelerating. After reading about 2.0t problems, I thought it was either a bad DV or PCV. I tried to diagnose if my problem was related to a bad pcv. So I disconnect the tube going from the intake to the pcv and plug the hole on the intake. Then I went for a ride and it whistle like before...so does this test confirm that my pcv isn't my problem?
As of now, I never saw traces of oil around the oil filler cap. When the engine is running, as soon as I press on the accelerator(even lightly), the whistle begin. As soon as I remove my foot, it whistle for a second then it stop. At a stop, if I press on the accelerator, the whistle will begin at only 5500 rpm and up.
No CEL so far related to lost of boost(I had a cel last week and they change fuel sensors and regulator). Also, the car pull pretty constantly but seem less powerful than before.
I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer and the past few months, there is a whistling noise when I accelerate but only when the air conditioner is on. Now I have noticed that the air is not that cold. Would you know what the problem is?
View 2 RepliesHear a vibration kind of noise coming from the engine when accelerating in 4-6 gear at a lower RPM? It ONLY seems to happen in sport mode with the soundakator on. Normal mode it doesn't. I thought maybe flutter but I'm not flooring it in low RPM/high gear... even just halfway throttle.
I should say I have a JB1 and K&N drop-in installed.
Experience such a noise? Seems to happen only when accelerating, but the noise seems to dissipate when you let go of the accelerator pedal.
Best way to describe would be a continuous whining noise.
Lexus IS300... The sound is coming from the rear. It appears to be left rear. It comes and goes, but seems to intensify when accelerating and right turns. It's annoying. It's embarrassing. I have taken it to several different shops and nobody seems to be able to figure it out. What it could be?
See the video below to hear the noise : [URL] ........

Just the other day noticed a whistle noise or a whining noise while I'm accelerating. Sounds like its coming from from the front passenger side, not sure.
I recently purchased a beautiful IS350 and I got it tinted & a PremiumShield added on to my front bumper, part of the hood, and mirror backs. I don't think I noticed this noise before, but I find that there is a whistle when I am traveling over 45mph.
I thought it was the window at first, but after driving and rolling down the window, I found that it was the mirror. I can put my hand in front of the back of the mirror and the noise will go away. But I am not sure if this is caused by the film itself or the mirror?
The film is just one piece and doesn't go all the way down to the gaps, so I am not sure as to why the film may cause the problem.
Noticed a slight whining, fluttering-like noise when accelerating? Faint but it has an annoying tone. Seems to come from driver side but not sure it can't be heard on passenger.
