Noticed a slight whining, fluttering-like noise when accelerating? Faint but it has an annoying tone. Seems to come from driver side but not sure it can't be heard on passenger.
View 7 RepliesJust received my car back from the service department and noticed a slight clicking sound that isn't too loud, it's mechanical sounding.. Quieter than a ball point pen retracting I'd say. It clicks every quarter of a turn while stopped and low speeds.
View 2 RepliesSo, lately I've noticed a slight fluttering sound in my '08 GS460 when accelerating on the freeway or up a slight incline. It'll kick in around 2,000-4,000 RPM, and it almost sounds like it's coming from right underneath the center console. I did have an exhaust system installed, then uninstalled, so maybe it's something the shop did, but can't be positive whether or not it was there before (always drive with my music on pretty loud).

Getting excessive wind noise from the driver side window? specially in the top left corner where the window turns? its bugging the crap out of me and will be taking it to the dealership...
View 14 RepliesMy car is making this noise from the driver's front wheel when applying the brakes and EVEN CLUELESS AND SURPRISINGLY the noise shows up when cruising at low speed (haven't try freeway speed yet) without stepping on the brakes.
This just happened to me tonight, car is around 10,000 miles, I'm going to take it into the dealer to see what the hell is with Lexus. I suspect it might be the rotors and built in brake dusts, I just don't know, but the noise is unusual enough to be concern about.
I doubt it's the built in brake dusts because previously I've not washed my car/ wheel for a longer period of time, but I'm not sure. Could it just be that my rotor is done?
I know the front brakes need a replacement soon, but it shouldn't be my brakes since the noise still shows up even when I don't step on the brake pedal, unless the car brakes for me itself......
I cant take it into the dealer until weekend, hopefully it's safe to drive around within the next 2 days.
Faint humming/whistling noise coming from the drivings side of the motor. I can hear it when I put my head next to the drivers wheel well, and most certainly from that side of the motor when the hood is popped. It's not super loud, but it is noticeable. I know we have Direct injection motors, so I know that ticking is completely normal. Am I overlooking this and being paranoid? Car has 2100 miles on it. I don't know if it was there when brand new.

View 13 RepliesOn the left side of the rear tail lights, only one back up light is lighting up when put on "R", the right side i noticed it is of a different bulb pattern. I then called my lexus salesperson to inquire on this and he is telling me its meant to be this way?

View 14 RepliesI've got 2013 es 350 with 10,000 miles on now. I have recently noticed that there was whining/whirring noise coming from the engine(I guess) while accelerating up to 45 mph. It seems that the noise goes along with the RPM since it gets louder when accelerating. It makes same noise when decelerating from 30 mph and it goes away when the car stops. A friend of mine drove the car once before but did not hear anything until I told him about the noise, so I guess it is not very noticeable to some people. At the 10,000 miles check up at the dealer, I mentioned about it and they said they did not hear anything, but I know for sure there is whirring/whining noise.

I wonder how hard it would be to reverse the "detuning" to get he IS300 up to 306 HP?

View 8 RepliesAs winter comes in full force to NYC I've been experiencing some rough idle on my is350 AWD even after warming up my car for about 3-5 min. For ex. when I am at a stop light and have my foot depressed on the brake it feels as if the engine is revving higher than usual as if the acceleration pedal is lightly being depressed while I am braking. Is it just due to the cold weather?
View 11 RepliesI noticed not too long ago that when I drive my car after being idle for a long time, the gear acts weird. Bought the car in July 2015 and has only 2,600 miles on it.
Usually in S or S+ mode the gear doesn't go past 5th gear on local. However, in Auto mode it goes up to 8th gear when I am not even accelerating that hard. In manual shift mode, the gear is delayed by about 5 sec, using the paddle shifter. It happens once and it goes back to normal.
I have not talk to the dealer yet. I wanted to get a proof before I do, so they dont tell me nothing is wrong with the car.

So I've got 13,375 miles on my car and I was at an intersection and when I put the car into sport mode the check engine light came on and now it won't go off. My car isn't displaying any other messages or lights and the gas cap was definitely on all the way. What could trip it so early in the life cycle, had the last scheduled maintenance 3 months ago too???

View 11 RepliesThe car is about a week old. Today, the NAV system (ML version), re-started a few times and then shut completely off. Re-starting the car does not work. Got a totally "off" screen and no sound. 2014 350?
Is there some way to reset it or turn it back on? I can't imagine that a brand new Lexus would have this sort of issue.
How to turn off the maintenance required light on a 2014 IS350? I can find info on a 2013 and older but nothing on a 2014.
View 5 RepliesToday I noticed that the flat part of the dash (under the nav screen and above the clock) is popping up. It's not popping up a ton, but I noticed it today. When I push the front of the flat part down, it goes perfect and fills the tiny gap between the clock and that flat part of the dash. When I let go, it makes a sticky sound as if the glue or adhesion is trying to stick. Like I said, it's not totally noticeable, but I can notice it and it drives me nuts
