I've tried to lock the car as I walk out while on and it just does a long beep and it doesn't lock.

View 9 RepliesI have a 200t and was wondering if there was any way that you can turn off the car's engine, but keep the electronics running. Right now when I put it on park and i press the engine on/off button itll turn off all my electronics.
View 1 RepliesIs there any way to keep the front white LED lights on with the driving lights?
View 4 RepliesI am new to my Lexus and have owned the car a month now. I love it. The only part of the car I haven't quite figured out though, is locking the car via SmartAccess. About 50% of the time, I can't get the car to lock on the first try by placing my hand on the door handle and touching the sensor with my thumb. Tonight I tried 3 times before giving up, digging the key fob out of my pocket, and doing it manually. Its frustrating. Is there something i'm doing wrong, or is there a special touch I'm missing somewhere?
View 4 RepliesIs there to keep the car on an particular mode all the time? I prefer driving on Sport mode but everytime I restart the car; it defaults to normal mode.
View 2 RepliesIt wasn't something that happened all that frequently, but the door lock on the passenger side would occasionally get stuck when someone would try to open it at the same time I was unlocking the doors. And I understand that this is something that is common because I've experienced this same situation with other vehicles. But now when I unlock the doors be it by the door handle sensor, the remote key or when I'm inside the car it remains locked sometimes. The only way to unlock the passenger side door now is by repeatedly pressing the unlock button inside the cabin, remote key or manually unlocking the door from the inside.
View 5 RepliesSo my automatic door lock (set to 60 seconds in vehicle setting) stopped working for some reason. I double checked the setting and it seems to be on the right place. it was working fine before...
View 6 RepliesThis is new to my wife and I and I can't seem to keep the LED's on while driving during the day? I have the stalk set to AUTO and during the day time nothing is on and we want the LED's on during the day. They will come on when I manually turn on the headlamps. I'm sure it's some setting.
View 2 RepliesIs there a way to increase the volume of the buzz sound when locking the door with the remote? It has been bothering me for a while. Every time I lock the door with a remote as I am walking away from the car, I need to listen very carefully for the almost inaudible buzz sound so I am sure the door is locked. I searched in the settings but didn't find where it can be changed.
BTW, it is a 2014 RX350.
I had my navigation system reboot yesterday and since then, when the headlights go on, the navigation screen dims rather than stay in daytime mode (brighter). How to keep the navigation screen on daytime when headlights go on?
View 6 RepliesMy gas lid will not shut flush. When I lock the doors it makes a loud sound as if it is having a hard time catching the lock. The lock still catches but its still not flush. When the car is unlocked and I shut the door I can just pull it open without pushing on it as it is not sitting flush. I checked for anything that may be in the way of the hinge and all seems normal.
View 6 RepliesSo I'm new to the all time awd car thing. I came from a 4x4 truck which 4x4 was never engaged on pavement or in tight cornering. When maneuvering my is250 awd in tight spots ie. parking lots and the front wheels are at full lock in either forward or reverse there is a slight binding/grinding feeling or faint noise. Is this normal on an awd car or Lexus specific??? Did a quick search and didn't find much about this issue. I'm pretty sure its not tire rub.....stock set up.
View 10 RepliesI've looked around here and in my manual but can't find the procedure to turn off the "beeps" when I lock and unlock my car via the key.
View 2 RepliesCan you lock the IS-F from the outside while its still running? Occasionally I will let the car warmup or idle while I step away from it, and try to lock it with the remote but no luck. Any way to do this?
View 4 RepliesI searched Vortex and Googled for quite a while, and already ran through VCDS for a good half hour, but I can't seem to find the option to disable the beep when we lock the car. I have a 2014 1.8T Wolfsburg.
Based on some of the other threads, it looks like it may have been possible to disable it via VCDS in previous years. However, the option is gone for me when I go in now, and I'm wondering if it's no longer possible?
i have a 2011 f150 xlt with the 5.0, my 4x4 does not lock in very well, i practically have to come to a stop and wait for it to engage fully or it starts banging and slipping like its trying to engage and not quite making it. are they still suppose to be on the fly? is there any kind of maintenance that i can do to them to have them work better? are they still locking hubs or did they change something?
View 4 Replies I have a 2012 F150 screw xlt ecoboost with a column shifter. It does not lock out when the car is parked and key removed.
I bought the truck used and didn't give it much thought considering everything is electronic these days. Then this weekend my 2 year old was sitting in the front seat while I was loading my bicycle on the back and the truck rolled forward a little. Needless to say, It just became priority number one to get fixed.
Noticed that the clock speeds up all on its own. I will set it correctly and then within a weeks time it will be minutes faster.
View 14 Replieshow do you all keep maintenance records when you do your own oil changes stuff?
View 16 RepliesThe door lock switch on the driver's door isn't working. All other lock functions work. Is there a setting like auto lock or something that disables this, or is it another issue.
View 3 RepliesSo, I noticed after the week long heatwave (using Priidash and the Prius display) that during normal driving (under 65mph and slow accel) that my prius is NOT keeping the battery at 60% SOC....It is staying in the low 50's or as low as 39.5%....If I go above 70mph, I see the battery being drained and not recharged at all....I reset the battery (twice) the first time it made no difference but the second time the car turned on and said I had 60% SOC when in reality before the ECU reset I was at 49.5%. I know my battery is good because I have stress tested it many times. Its in great shape. The only thing I've done differently these past few weeks is I left the car in Park with the AC on 75 auto for about 5hrs on 4 different days....Its a 2004 Prius.
