How, when u have ur keys in ur pockets or whatever and place ur hand behind door handle and it unlocks drivers side door? How do I get other doors to unlock from the drivers side? I always have to unlock my then open door and press button to unlock for passengers.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2014 Lexus IS 250 that is only 10 months old and my key FOB isn't unlocking the doors. I've tried using both keys. I don't think the batteries are dead since the power light still works on both keys, and they are not even a year old. Not to mention it would be very coincidental that both keys would die at the same exact time.
I need to get to work but don't want to get there and not be able to lock my car.
The rear driver side door on my Passat doesn't work right, it doesn't lock or unlock from the button on the front two doors....and the window only rolls down when that door is open and the car is running, how to fix?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2001 passat that i have had for about 2 months. recently, about 2 weeks ago, i started having problems with the remote unlock feature. it will unlock the driver side door fine, but when i press the unlock button twice, the driver side lock makes a noise but the other three doors remain locked. when i press the unlock toggle on the driver side controls with the window controls, all the doors unlock fine. i have two remotes, one is pretty new and i just got it programmed (within a month) and neither one will unlock all the doors.all the other functions of the remote work fine.

View 4 RepliesI did a search and read the manual but I can't seem to figure it out. Is there a way to unlock all of the doors by pushing the unlock button on the key fob once? I see in the manual it can be done I think by turning "remote 2 - press unlock" on in the car settings but it doesn't seem to work. Also am I reading correctly that there are no door unlock sensors on the rear doors? With my LS and my old IS I could touch the rear doors and all of the doors would unlock but this can't be done on the GX?

If I go to passengers side and press the unlock button a couple times it opens. Seems slow to open. Greased lock assembly at door. Not sure if it works.
Normally, when I approach my LS460 with the key in my pocket, the car will automatically unlock once I touch the door handle. A few weeks ago, the driver's side door stopped unlocking. All of the other doors unlock but the driver's side door does not. If I take the key fob out and use it to lock the door and then unlock it, the driver's side door usually unlocks after several attempts with the key fob. I have changed the battery in my remote to no avail.

View 7 RepliesReviving my car after long months of long winter storage and I cannot get the door unlocked. I know the battery is dead so the remote won't work, but I cannot even unlock the door with the key, twisting it back and forth and nothing happens. I am just trying to get under the hood so i can jump the car, but no way to unlock the door. It is a 2002 SC430 , is the key supposed to work ? Or does the car need battery for the key to twist and unlock the door?

View 14 RepliesMy 2011 ES 350 has auto locks as to when I touch the door handle, it unlocks the doors. However, the driver's door only unlocks the driver's door, whereas any other doors unlock all of the doors. Is there a way to make the driver's door handle unlock all of the doors?
View 14 RepliesI have a problem with my '08 driver's door lock. Essentially, the doors will all lock just fine using FOB, door buttons, etc, and all doors except driver's door will unlock using smart key features, fob, etc. However, if I want to unlock the driver's door I have to insert and turn the key. It feels a little stiff but it might not be any different than before as I rarely used this feature before. There was a period of about a week where it would fail intermittently before it began to fail consistently.
It just got warm out here in MD, not sure if that might have made a difference. I popped the rubber door plug out to lubricate it the lock mechanism with some silicone spray and also sprayed some in the lock itself, but it did not make a difference.
I am trying to avoid an expensive repair, but I am not really up for a complex replacement of the actuator motor - and it seems like the motor must be working anyway if I can lock the doors. I have not done anything in the latch area, just near where the key goes.
I would like all the doors to unlock when i open the drivers door. The manual is a little confusing on how to do this or if you can.

I would like the driver door to open all 4 doors too. Is this normal operation?. Is there something I can do to fix it or do I have to take it to the dealer?

View 3 RepliesI have a sante fe which has problems (suspect multiple) with central locking , intermittently locking itself - very annoying - even driving down the road.
Drivers door controls for central locking unlock button does not unlock the doors - button just doesn't do anything. Lock button works fine. In addition window controls on drivers door dont work - only control that works is the one for the drivers door.
Final piece of the puzzle - the red light in the drivers door does not work either nor does the drivers door button panels light up. Starting to wonder is there a fuse or quirky power supply problem somewhere.
I typically carry my keys in my laptop bag, and on my 09 LS460 when I use to open up the back door by grabbing onto the handle all the doors would unlock. Now on my 08 LS460L when I open up the back door it doesn't open all the doors. Is this some type of setting I can change? Or is this something they changed from 08 to 09?
