If you have Navigation there is a selection inside "weather" to view a weather map. No matter how many times I try all I get is a screen telling me it is "down loading data", but I never see the map. How to view the map?
View 5 RepliesI ordered my IS 300h F-Sport (winter!). After five months of waiting, the car is now at the dealer. I went today to take a look and one thing is making me a little bit nervous...
The info screen said "Pop up hood error", I asked the salesman about it and said that the car needs preparation and be reset....
I want to believe it but my mind is taking my opinion that something triggered the pop up hood pedestrian protection... maybe a little hit? I don't know.... and maybe the salesman is being honest and it is normal.
The bumper is all ok, no signs of damage, (the car arrived yesterday and my girlfriend went to take a look).
I have my home screen set to show audio on the left side, weather upper right and climate lower right. Even though the audio section is the whole left side of the screen, it does not display the artist or song information for radio stations. If I click on audio, though, then in the full audio screen (with presets, etc.), it does show the artist and song information. How to get the info to display on the home screen?
View 9 RepliesMy Navigation started to display a message "Unable to Read Data" and would not display the Map on my Certified 2008 LS460. All other displays worked just fine and there were no other problems with my Navi. This had been an intermittent problem for a while so I decided to bring it to Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly, Virginia. I paid them $130 to diagnose the problem for them to tell me that I need a new Navigation ECU - which at first they quote $15,000.00 I FLIPPED! I let them know that I would deal with not having a map and navigation and got my car back!
When they gave me my car I started it up to see the wrong time displaying on the clock and a message that reads "A program cannot be read. Please consult to a dealer" displaying on my screen. I immediately got my SA out there to look at the message. He tried to tinker with all the buttons and couldn't get the message to disappear so he brought his supervisor to look at the message.
They explained to me that when diagnosing the problem they tried to reset the system by removing by battery and it didn't work (Yeah, Actually it made things worse!!!) and now it is evident that my ECU has apparently completely died (and I find it such a coincidence that it happen to die while in their hands diagnosing the issue). They took the car back to see if they could do anything to get it back to the state it was in when I brought for diagnosis.
Yesterday as I took off for work, I noticed no map on my nav screen. Below is the message I am getting. This is a 2004 and my guess is the nav has never been updated. I bought the GX 3.5 years ago as a CPO.
View 9 RepliesI have a 1993 Cadillac Deville and the Fuel Data panel will not display except once in a while it will for a minute then it'll go blank again. The Electronic Climate Control panel displays and works just fine. I have no trouble with the a/c or heat at all.

View 2 RepliesI just got my 2016 ES300 and I noticed that every time I start the car, the default view goes straight to the navigation screen. Is there a way to change it to something else or to the last screen it was before I turn off the car?
I ask is because in my previous car (Avalon), if I was on the radio screen and I turn off the car and turn it back on again, the radio screen would come up.
I own a 03 sc430. I want to be able to play music and view videos on my nav screen using my stock unit. I've been online for days and even talked to vais tech, they had a unit but i cannot view or control my music or videos with it. What I can use?
View 2 RepliesSo the traffic appearance via the HD Data Services network seems to be random. There are times I get it and on the way back it will not appear. I live in south west CT which they claim is full coverage. It is really random and there does not be anyway to see if it is a single strength problem or not. The only indicator is on the NAV screen with the HD)) system in the upper left corner.
I realize I can force it through my cell phone, but why use up my data plan for it when supported in my current area.

Nothing is displaying on the nav screen. I removed the MFD screen and inspected it can't find anything wrong with it the soldering looks fine. Is there anyway I can test the unit before buying one.

Yesterday morning my wife's JSW TDI wouldn't stay on after starting it. The screen kept displaying, "Key not in range". I swapped keys and every one of them did the same thing. It doesn't have keyless start, so it's not that. It would start then shut off like an immobilizer issue. I disconnected the battery terminal and reconnected it and that fixed it...for now. I did some research and everything I've found said the cluster needs replaced. I made a video of the display and the car shutting down.
View 2 RepliesMy new '07 Camry with 5K miles on it, driving along, minding my own business. The navigation was on as it always is, but not in guidance mode. All of a sudden I notice the screen turn dark and I see this error: "MAP DVD - Unable to read data. Check if map DVD is correct." (see image)
I have never removed the DVD from the drive. It is clean as a whistle. I wasn't on a bumpy road. I tried resetting and cleaning it, but no good.
According to the navigation manual (attached), the navigation screen should go to the home screen within 5 seconds. But my IS never goes to the home screen without pressing the home button, but it always shows the full screen map. I tried many different things including "Auto Screen Change" setting but nothing seems to work.

View 14 RepliesThe OEM DVD player in my '04 started having problems with occasionally displaying a disc format error across the screen. The movie usually still plays, but the lettering is stays on the screen. If you go back through the menus it will sometimes go away or you just have to eject and reload the DVD. Now it does it pretty much everytime we turn the player on.
View 8 Replies3IS owner. My mirror vibrates when I'm listening to bassy music and it's driving me crazy. My first gen IS's mirror didn't vibrate at all so I'm pretty unhappy being a 44k car's mirror vibrates. I took it to the dealership and they just tightened the bolt but it didn't do anything. Then they justified it saying that all the IS's in the lot did this. After the checkup the mirror got worse and vibrates on rough pavement now. I was just wondering if your guys' mirrors vibrate when listening to music?

Not only that but since the door will not shut, on my dash screen it keeps saying "Refill Ready" every 5-10 seconds.
Where is the Weather map supposed to be?
Just picked up a 2016 Fsport and have been going through all the various menus and I see nothing about weather...
The regular nav screen shows traffic perfectly and has since day one, but no weather or radar map, or even a hint of it, anywhere in any of the menus... I have lot of HD radio stations available and the "HD" with the three cars next to it is lit up just fine on the nav map.
I didn't even know it could do this until i read somewhere that it has this capability. How do i get my text messages to pop up on my nav screen? (2015 IS 350 F Sport)
