Just got my first lexus IS350 FSport last week. Today i was trying to lock my doors from the outside with the car on to grab a quick drink from the deli but it didn't work. My old altima is keyless start too and i could lock it.

I have a 2014 is250. Everything was fine until i showed it to a friend who hoped in it like a fool and started mashing buttons. So when I got home i realized when i shut the car down, opened the door nothing turned off. And my fob is not locking or doing anything. When you shut the car door it makes the same beeps that it makes when i hope out at the gas station with the keys in my hand and the car still running.

I have experienced a problem with the driver's side door locking and not opening. It just happened to me with my 2008 LS460 so I can't get in or out of the car from the driver's side.

I'm slowly reading through the ES-350 manual, picking and choosing parts to read. There are several 'Personalized Preferences' that I've noted down and will have addressed at my 1st month service.
I noticed on pg. 21 of the manual that there are settings to set and cancel the door-locking/unlocking functions. These functions are also mentioned in the 'Personalized Preferences' section, so there is overlap here (on paper anyways).
Anyways I tried a couple of times to follow the instructions on pg. 21 to disable the door locking and unlocking when the car is placed in Park and Neutral.
It didn't work for me. The instructions aren't all that clear to me, nor of what they are supposed to accomplish. I'd like to not have the doors lock when I place the shift out of Park and not have the doors unlock when I place the shift into Park.

Right next to the tire pressure monitoring reset button (situated above the gas and brake pedals) there is a knob that when turned all the way right will click as if it was in an "off" position. What is this knob for? After doing a search, someone posted it is for volume control of the door locking chirp noise. Does it have any other function, or is this its real function at all? I didn't test it yet.

Sometimes the door chimes go off when I shut my car off, almost as if I left the lights on or the keys in the ignition (if that were possible), but other times it does not. What I am doing differently. There are no warnings on the display like Window or Moonroof open. My headlights are always on auto.

I have the standard Audio (not Mark Levison) and want a little more mid and highs out of the side door speakers. I've already maxed out the audio settings for treble and the dash speakers are doing their job to my taste. I just think the side speakers can do just a bit more.
I don't want to replace the head unit, ad additional amplification, equalizer, nor any custom fabrication, at least just not yet. Thought starting with the door speakers would be a 1st step.
I'm presuming the FRONT door speakers are 6 1/2" (at least the mounting holes) so a common 6 1/2" aftermarket speaker would work. Just swap out. Correct? I'm thinking of something like the Infinity 6502ix co-axials with adjustable tweeters for all four doors.

So when I first took the car home, I could unlock the car by touch the rear door handles and it would unlock all the doors for the car. However, my car wanted to update, and after doing this, this feature does not seem to work anymore. I can still touch the drivers side and front passenger side to unlock the doors, however, i am no longer able to unlock the car using the rear doors.

I have a 2015 3IS which has about 5,000kms on it. Was wondering if any of you experience rattles/squeaks from driver's door glass when closed? Usually comes out on uneven roads or after going through a road where the chassis/body gets twisted a bit. I live in the mountains so the roads here are really twisty and has all those weird angles.

I never seen this before. Today I was driving on the freeway. I then heard a loud "pluck" noise as if a rock hit my car. When I got home, I saw this bulge popping out on my right passenger rear door. It looks like it's swollen.
It doesn't look like a rock hit the car though. Otherwise, it would have been a dent inwards with paint chipped. It's really close to the rear passenger door speaker too. I wonder if something in the speaker popped and made a bulge like that outwards.

I've amassed almost 3700miles in my 14 gs350f thus far and really enjoy the car. One problem I've had for the past 1000miles or so is the drivers door control cluster for the window switches etc., not the black part but the actual panel the buttons are hooked into buzzes and wiggles and up down maby 2mm. I swear, it buzzes like a beehive that's on FIRE when the radio is on. I've been resting my hand on it for a while but enough is enough, how do I get that panel out so I can stick some really thin foam in there to stop it?

Just a few days ago I have been experiencing the following issues;
- Unlocking the door through the handle caused the vehicle to flash the emergency lights, both exterior and interior lights pulse, 4 times.
- The tachometer blacks out and stays blacked out for the duration of the trip. Resetting it (Turning off the car, turning off the radio) didn't work.
- Replacing the key fob battery didn't work.
I did schedule for my car to be serviced, but anything I can do to fix it now would be great.

Strangest thing just happened. Went to go open my door as I always do, and when I touched the handle sensor it beeped several times (more than the 2 times it does to unlock), and it didn't unlock. I would use my keyfob to hit unlock, but again when I tried to pull the handle open it was locked and kept beeping.
The passenger side seemed to work. Eventually I used the physical key to unlock the driver door and it worked. Didn't happen again after I locked/unlocked. Was there an issue with the electronic locking/unlocking mechanism?

It wasn't something that happened all that frequently, but the door lock on the passenger side would occasionally get stuck when someone would try to open it at the same time I was unlocking the doors. And I understand that this is something that is common because I've experienced this same situation with other vehicles. But now when I unlock the doors be it by the door handle sensor, the remote key or when I'm inside the car it remains locked sometimes. The only way to unlock the passenger side door now is by repeatedly pressing the unlock button inside the cabin, remote key or manually unlocking the door from the inside.

So I have been trying to figure out why when I turn off the car with the driver door opened, the car will beep continuously until I close the door again. Is it trying to tell me to remember the key? This was the case in my 2010 IS250 too... so its not something that is new.. its just now that I started wondering.

Noticed any excessive wind noise coming from driver's side window/door on their 3IS? Maybe because its pretty quiet but I'm noticing a slightly louder than normal "whizzing" noise (wind noise) coming from driver's side window/door..
Something the dealer can adjust / tighten up to eliminate this annoying noise?
