I'm wondering how I can disable the navigation voice while on a Bluetooth phone call? It's slightly annoying & confusing when the other end-caller can hear my navigation.
View 2 RepliesI just got a 2014 ES350 and love it, however, I have one issue I can't seem to figure out and I have to assume their is an easy fix. When I use my phone (bluetooth via car) and I'm using the navigation system, the voice still give me directions while I'm on the phone. 1) it's distracting for me to have a conversation the same time the navigation is talking 2) the person on the phone hears it as well. Is their a way to set up so that the voice automatically mutes while I'm on the phone?
View 14 RepliesI have a 2007 RX 350. I just recently started using bluetooth. It was working well and then all of a sudden I have an issue after a call. I hang up my phone, but the screen still shows that it is talking; although, no call is being made. I have to stop and start car to get it to clear, so I can start again. However, it will only work once and then it still won't hang up.

View 4 RepliesI all of a sudden starting having problem with my Bluetooth connection. I have an iPhone 6s (since September). It has latest operating system.
Now whenever I receive a text or notification on my phone it connects the Bluetooth. It shouldn't at all with app notifications. It then does release the connection.
Nav screen says call in progress. Hanging up phone from steering wheel does nothing. I must turn off Bluetooth on phone to release "the call" and listen to the radio.
I dislike the RNS510... So I installed a RNS315 and everything worked great Except for Bluetooth Mic... I was able to place and receive calls.. But no one could hear me. It was like the Mic was disconnected...
View 2 RepliesI have a Sprint HTC Hero. It worked fine on my Prius. I upgraded the phone from Android 1.5 to 2.1. I thought all was OK because the phone would connect to the car. The problem is that when I make a call or someone calls me everything looks OK until someone talks. Nothing. No voices. I can't hear the other person and they can't hear me.
View 6 RepliesSo my girlfriend got a 2015 IS250 and for some reason, her phone call history is not transferring correctly. When I connect my iPhone 6 (Verizon), the phone call history transfers correctly. When she connects her iPhone 6 (AT&T), all the numbers and names transfer distorted. Both of our phone call histories work perfectly on my 2014 IS250.
View 3 RepliesSo my 2012 camry with the touchscreen head unit connects to my phone just fine. It streams my music just fine as well. I however hate my phone calls, texts, etc coming through the car. After my phone connects to the car, I can go to the bluetooth menu and tell it to disconnect for phone and that takes care of it for that drive. But every time I get in the car I have to break that connection.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2016 XLE with the head unit that has nav but is not the premium JBL. My wife and I both use our phones in the car. We both have Samsung Galaxy S5 phones. I have the Entune app on my phone. My phone sounds great when I use the hands free talking. When my wife calls me from the car her phone sounds horrible. Two identical phones and one sounds great and the other horrible. Is there a fix for this problem?

Why this is happening all of a sudden? It was working fine until recently.. how do I fix it?
View 5 RepliesSo I picked up the IS 350 Fsport and was getting to know it while I peruse certain sections of the manuals. I have not read them front to back, lol.
I thought it was a bug but come to find out that certain navigation and phone features are not available when the vehicle is moving. The options are greyed out and unselectable. For example entering an address and web search are prohibited options while the car is moving. When the car stops, they become avalable.
Same thing for POI search, only edestination and category are available while moving. While navigating if you choose to see the turn by turn for the route under options, only the first three of the next turns will display when moving.
The phone call history is available and favorite contacs are available but contacts are unavailable. I guess they think the voice recognition is good enough substitute. Geeze, they don' know some of my contacts names and their pronunciation. Hard enought for a human to get some of those correct let alone a nav system.
In the navigation manual under safety on p5 it says "For your safety, some functions may become inoperable when driving. Unavailable screen buttons are dimmed. Only when the vehicle is not moving, can the destination and route selection be done. (of course they don't list all the options unavailable while driving, at lease not in safety)
I noticed that when I use google map turn by turn directions, the audio comes through as a phone call. When I rent cars that have bluetooth settings, the directions just comes through over the speaker not as a phone call. I have an iPhone 6 and the latest IOS.
View 1 RepliesI have recently leased a 2014 VW Wolfsburg Edition Passat. It has the carnet feature on it. I am currently experiencing that my phone is not playing through my Bluetooth setting. I will listen to either spotify, or Pandora. When listening to the streaming music the car will play one song and when it goes into the next song it stops playing all together through the Bluetooth, however it is still playing on the phone. I took it in to the dealership where I got it to service this issue and was given a loaner car. I could play the Bluetooth in the 2013 passat with no issues....but get in my car and it will wither play one or nothing at all! They are saying that there is something in my phone causing this issue. For it to work in my old car no problem, which was a 2011 Jetta, and the 2013 with no problems. So I have a hard time seeing it has to do with my phone. So ok n my phone I did a factory reset....and went back out to the car...and it is still just playing one song and then stopping.

I have noticed that after send saying a few voice commands like setting up an address for Navigation (city, street, number etc) the system seems to stop recognizing that I saying a command. I push the voice command and the system will respond with "Say a command", to which I would say a command but the system doesn't seem to either hear me speak or respond to my command. It seems as if the microphone has stopped working or else the voice recognition system has hung up.
Mine is a 2012 Mark Levinson Nav system.
The thing will only recognize about half the streets / towns I speak. I have a 2014 XLE.

When we get an incoming call it no longer 'rings' through the car's audio system. How do I get the 'ring' back? The screen indicates an incoming call, but the ring has stopped.

View 3 Replies I just waited 5 months for my ES300H Ultra Luxury with Mark Levinson. I am coming from an HS250 with a technology package that actually blows away this car.
My biggest gripe - When you have navigation set, and then you use the phone, the NAVIGATION PROMPTS still come on over your phone call. So the person on the other side of the phone is hearing all of your navigation prompts. In the HS250 prompts completely went silent, and you looked at the map while talking on the phone. (Which is the correct way.) As a Realtor, I am constantly talking to clients and using driving directions and this is totally unprofessional. People on the other line think I am talking to them and say what? I cannot believe that when a phone call comes in while I am driving, I have to go into settings, go into voice, and then lower the volume (no volume control for prompts on the steering wheel.) All while driving, and talking on the phone. TOTALLY DANGEROUS.
In addition, when using radio, in the HS250 when a prompt came on, it temporary lowered volume during the prompt so you could hear it. Not on the ES300H. You cannot hear the prompts over the radio.
Not to mention you cannot even voice delete a destination and you lose tons of commands on the new navigation system. Navigation is sending me on crazy routes. The phone sounds like it is in a tin can compared to the HS250. I don't know how I ended up spending big bucks more for a car that actually went backwards in technology.
How do you set up the voice tags in the Nav? I have a 08 350 if that matters. I can dial by number but not by name--says I have no voice tags listed.? I do the name in the phone book as well....
View 14 RepliesMy Nav voice stopped talking to me. I did ignore many turns because I knew better than she did but I didn't think she'd get that mad and give me the silent treatment!
Anyway, drove from Portland Maine to NJ this afternoon and hallway through the trip I have no more voice on the Nav, directions on screen worked fine. I deleted destination and then started it again and she still gave me the silent treatment. I haven't gone back and started it again since I've been home to see if she's over it and is talking to me again or not but I'll report back tomorrow on that.
