View 2 RepliesOn a 2014 350, how hard is it to change out the puddle lights to LED's?
View 11 RepliesIs there any way to keep the front white LED lights on with the driving lights?
View 4 RepliesThis is new to my wife and I and I can't seem to keep the LED's on while driving during the day? I have the stalk set to AUTO and during the day time nothing is on and we want the LED's on during the day. They will come on when I manually turn on the headlamps. I'm sure it's some setting.
View 2 RepliesOne of the LED lights in the front overhead panel appears to be burned out. How do I replace this? These are the lights up next to the sunroof controls. One switch controls three of these LED's. I'm hoping this is an easy repair.
2007 ES 350.
I am changing most of the bulbs to leds. The type of bulb thats in the Door light (puddle light?) Glove bo Dome light Trunk bul Small bulb in the headlight Tag light.
View 7 RepliesI wanted to change my license plate bulbs to LED's. Can't figure out how to get to them. The book says have the dealer replace these bulbs if burnt out. I Always like to try to do things myself.
View 7 RepliesTonight I noticed that the DRL LEDs stayed continuously on after turning off the engine and locking the car. Usually, they are off when I shut down the car then turn back on a few secs later for 1 or 2 seconds then are off for good. I tried restarting then shutting down the car several but to no avail so I ended up removing the fuse that's on the positive cable to turn then off tonight.
View 11 RepliesI want to replace the front and rear dome lights with LED's. I removed the rear plastic cover but can not remove the bulb. The only thing I can grab is the glass bulb and pulled but it will not release. I see a very small black tab at the base of the bulb and tried pushing it in, to the left and right but won't budge.
View 9 RepliesI had been waiting a long time for a remote start solution to be available for my 2014 IS-250 with navigation. I finally saw idatalink released a firmware for their ADS-ALCA bypass module that allows you to add a remote start that is triggered by the factory keypad. It was a fairly easy installation and it started up right away. I do have car installation experience, but I didnt find the installation to be that difficult in general.
View 14 RepliesI have a few bad LEDs at the bottom of each tail light. Have others had this problem? How many have to die before VW will replace them under warranty {2008 with 20K miles}
View 6 RepliesI moved over some interior LED's from my past cars (MKV R32 & MK6 GTI, same fitment for basically all of the bulbs) and they're flickering a lot.
From what I've seen, it's only the dome lights -- the vanity lights, trunk lights & footwell lights are all fine...
I think it's important to note that these LED's worked fine in my past cars. I've reached out to deAutoKey to see if they can replace them...
I'm looking for a source that sells high quality LEDs. I already have LEDs in my R but they flicker horribly. I've sent the LEDs back for replacement twice and each time they were replaced they started to flicker within a month. I don't use the lights very often but I can't deal with the flickering anymore.
I won't mention the company I purchased the LEDs from to avoid any favoritism or slander.
I'm trying to install my leds on the dome lights. The back one was quick and everything but the front dome light cover doesn't want to come off. Only the passenger side one wants to pop out. While the driver side of the dome doesnt wanna budge. It seems like ts actually stuck to the inside of the compartment. It just doesn't wanna pop off all that i getting is scratches.
View 5 RepliesInstalled an ecs LED interior kit last night. Didn't go for a drive, just installed the LEDs. this morning i change some codes 1 at a time starting with rear tails byte 18. moved on to byte 4 bit 4 and made the change to allow for window up and down after the doors are opened. after making this change i noticed the interior LEDs blinking on and off every few seconds.
They didn't do that last night but I wasn't sitting in the car for a few minutes either. so i change what i did back to stock and the LEDs are still blinking. Not sure if I accidentally clicked on something I shouldn't have or what. And my computer crashed the other day and i lost my full scan and copy of coping. is this normal for LED interior lights? if not can someone hook me up with the long code for a NA car?
I did do the factory reset on the mfi computer and the rear head liner lights stopped blinking but the fronts still blink.
So I noticed the other night that one of my LED's on my headlamp flickered while they were on, with the key in ignition. As of today, the driver's side LED light went out. Where to to tap into to make an attempt to figure this out. Wires and connector seem to be all in tact.
View 5 RepliesI want to start swapping out the stock lights for LEDs, beginning with the interior ones. I have read the de facto standard thread about LED swap here: [URL]...
For interior lights, the tacked thread mentions 39mm Festoon. However, when I go to Super Bright LEDs and put in my year, make and model (2002 EX), I get 578 LED Bulb - 8 LED Festoon - 44mm for replacement interior bulbs. Which is correct? 39mm or 44mm? Is there that big of a difference between the two? Will either size work?
I just want to make sure I order the right size to fit a 2002 EX. ETA: I want to start with ordering a few each of 5900K and 4300K just to see the difference in the truck and want to make sure I get the right ones. I don't want the Close Encounters look going on inside.
I have been trying to remove the tail lights to install LEDs. Are there more bolts than just the two bolds on the outside?

View 17 RepliesI ordered an LED interior package from Deautokey and they also came with license plate LEDs. The interior looks great, the license plates looked great except for one thing, the right side was slightly yellower than the left. So I contacted Deautokey and they sent me two new ones:
These are identical to the original LEDs except in the old ones the squares are arranged in a diamond pattern but I don't think that matters.
Tonight, I was replacing the right side LED hoping that replacing one is all I had to do to match colors but in order to see better I kept the plate lights on. Well when I went to pull out the housing I forgot that they were still on and pulled it out anyways, there may have been a noise when that happened but I forgot.
I put the new one in, turned the plate lights back on and found that it was dim, I rotated it and same look. I tried the second replacement, equally dim, so I thought "okay, I'll just give up and put the old ones in." Did that and they are now these ones became dim!
What happened!? Did pulling it out while it was still on (only did it that first time BTW) mess something up? Did the new ones being in there mess something up? There is no warning light or message in my instrument cluster.
My 2015 has projector headlights with a row of LED's around the outside. Currently the LED's are the parking lights, and when turned on the taillights and side marker lights are also on. I was wondering how difficult it would be to wire in a separate switch to turn on just the LED's only when driving during the daytime.
