Problems getting an alignment AFTER lowering. seems no one in my area has the old fashioned machine where it clamps on the wheel edge,they have the ones that clamp on the outside of the tire,which limits the rotation of the wheel if the body is too close. I am on rsr downs with Vossens,which wont work at all, so hoping the stock wheels will.
View 6 RepliesHave lowered C, an difficulty getting it into decent alignment? Do I need to purchase a camber kit? I'm on Tanabe DF210s, which are no lower than 1.8", I believe! I'm making an appt. for this Thursday to get the alignment done. I had springs installed this past Friday but wanted to wait a few for them to settle. (I put about 800 miles a week on the car.)
Basically, I'm just looking to know whether the shop should be able to get the car within spec. without the addition of a camber kit or anything else that might be required for the alignment.
I want to lower the car with RSR DOWN SPRINGS but I have some people telling me that I will destroy my shocks in time and other people saying its fine.

I was told i need to drive around and it should go away. Driven about 10 miles so far and its still there. How many miles until the light goes away...
View 2 RepliesI started noticing about a year ago that when I drive my car, it pull to the right. This occurs at any speed. Every time I've gone in for service, I've asked them about this and multiple customer service reps have basically said "that's how this type of car drives". I've had them actually check the alignment as well, and only a couple of times have they had to adjust it, but it still seems to pull towards the right.

I had my right front tire replaced due to a road nail. Now when I went for my 10,000 mile service they told me that I need a wheel alignment. My friend told me that whenever you replace a tire you always have to do a wheel alignment. Is t true?
View 11 RepliesSo I feel like this is more of vent than anything but anyways, it all started yesterday when I noticed one of my tires had the TPMS light pop up. I went to the gas station on my way home and put some air in it and everything was good. This morning I get in my car and its the same tire but now at 7 psi so I have a leaking tire. I bring it to costco to see if they can do a quick tire repair instead I find out my alignments been screwed up and it has worn down all 4 of my tires on the inside. I saw it for myself and its been worn down on them pretty bad. I'm in the process of getting the Michelin Pilot Sports by tomorrow and will need to get an alignment.
Lexus dealership didn't catch this when I brought it in last month for an oil change and they did their so called "inspection." Maybe they don't check for alignment issues but wouldn't they have noticed the uneven wear on my tires??? Also my IS350 is all stock and isn't dropped or anything. Why my alignment would've been messed up?
My front driver's side Bridgestone Turanza EL400 (225/40R18) has premature wear such that the steel belt is beginning to show through the center of the tread. The front passenger side tire has no such wear and the alignment is good.

View 14 RepliesSo I installed the RS*R lowering springs last week and noticed my lights are aiming low. I searched about how to adjust the auto leveling arm and crawled under the car. The rear arm has no slide to the bolt like I have seen in pictures of other Lexus cars. I don't really want to adjust the lights themselves I would like to level the arm back like stock angle.

I played with the buttons and followed the info I found by city. But I could follow them I guess. Some of the information mentioned I couldn't see on my module. My module isn't new so maybe I need to do a full reset.

I have just installed my data system lowering module.
I bought a used one and it appears to be lowering and raising the car.
It does not seem like all 4 corners are even. I don't have the instructions on how to reset or play with the settings.
Is there any way I can raise or lower the temperature without turning on the fan speed? For example if I want to raise the temperature from 68 to 72, I literally have to hit the "Lo" speed and then raise the temp.
View 1 RepliesI have dismantled my trunk completely in order to install rear upgraded lights, as well as to install a new bumper to my kit. I have not put back the interior of the trunk yet. I went to let the top down so I could begin to remove the rear seat to do the mod to the subwoofer that a fellow forum member recommended and provided an instructional. But the top will not come down.
I was able to raise the top and the windows. But when I push the button to lower the top the red light to the switch blinks but nothing happens. My question, do I have to reassemble tyne trunk in order to lower the top. If that is the case how is everyone doing the woofer and amp work with the top lowered.
What I really want to do is lower the top partially so I can remove the rear sear set (top) so I can get to my subwoofer. Or maybe the seat can come out without lowering the top.
So due to a puncture I got earlier this week, I had to buy a new front passenger side right tire. Now the car pulls very slightly to the right. Is this due to having about 6k miles on the left tire and a brand new right tire or do I need an alignment again?

I went to go get a wheel alignment (when driving my car starts drifting to the left hard/ also when my hands aren't on wheel) and they discovered that my front left tie rod is wobbly (also said lower ball joint is suspect). I was told they couldn't perform a complete wheel alignment until fixing the front left tie rod first.

My place did an alignment and got all the numbers back into the green. What could be the problem that it is pulling to the right. Also the steering wheels turns a little the the right as well. The tire pressure is perfect and the tires I am running are nitto 555.

I have a tanabe spring install with 20x9.0 in the front with nitto 555 245/35/20. And 10.5 with 275/30/20 in the rear.
Do your cars pull to the right? Will the tires wear wrong? The car was back into specs except the cAmber in front.
Parked my car at work and some jackass hit my car and left, fender is the only part showing damage, but somehow my check vsc lights are on and the alignment is way off. Is there anything behind the passenger side fender that would cause this? I'm getting it taken in Monday morning to get it assessed and fixed
