Don't know how to increase the brightness of the interior clock/temp display. Mine is fairly dim and doesn't seem to be adjustable in the instrument settings anywhere.
View 2 RepliesThe adjustable brake pedal on my excursion works fine, but the throttle doesn't and never did adjust. It just doesn't move at all. Why? Just a bad electric motor on the adjuster? Just curious if there is something common that fails before I delve into trouble shooting it more.

View 3 RepliesI just purchase a 2002 SC430 with only two (minor) issues. First: the radio display does not work. Everything else is fine. The CD changer works, the radio works, the steering column controls work. The display is blank. Lexus solution is 650$ for a new radio. Seems like there should be a simpler fix.
Second, the panel covering the display does not come down. I can pull it down, and it will go back up with the push of the button. But it will not go back down. Again Lexus fix is 700$. I guess I can keep pulling it down for that price, but how was it resolved.
Yesterday I reset the MPG on the odometer and today I notice the outside temp display only show the two dashes - - and no numbers. Did I messed something up? I read the manual but can not find anything about outside temp display ??

From time to time, climate control will stop working. Buttons are not lit up or responsive, fans do not work, and computer doesn't show outside temperature. Problem can last a day, an hour, 10 minutes, or any other time frame. Most of the time once it stops working it will not start working until left parked and locked overnight. Sometimes when we start driving it would all of a sudden start working on its own. This has happened during multiple seasons and multiple weather conditions.
I took the car to Lexus dealer who decided it would be a smart idea to replace the whole climate control unit in the dash, well this past weekend the problem occurred again with brand new climate control unit in place.
I have not been able to find this in the manual. Is there a way to increase the brightness of the clock and climate temperature display between the stereo and the nav? I know how to dim the dash display, etc. but my clock is so dim it is very hard to read.
View 5 RepliesI have the Non-Nav with just Display Audio. I have noticed that the display tends to fade in & out. Even at night when the lights are on- I keep the dash on the bright side- the DA/radio info fades. It's still legible but wondering is there a way to fix this? I couldn't find anything in the manual about adjusting the brightness.

View 14 RepliesStarted my 2013 RX this afternoon and it indicates these two alarms on the instrument cluster, Engine Check Light & Track Off. Found out that my gas cap was not tightened (let my son fill the tank when he borrowed it the night before). Hooked up my OBD II scanner to clear and it shows two codes P0441 & P0445. They reset but my scanner says they are permanent. What does that mean? Will stay as an error until the ECU says otherwise?

View 3 RepliesI have very recently purchased a 2011 GX. Everything seems to be in working order, aside from the "multi-information display" in the gauge cluster. While the electronics options screen functions as described in the manual, pressing the menu button results in a blank screen instead of switching to the customization and/or driver information screens.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2010 RX350 and put a lot of MP3 songs on USB stick to play. Recently I have downloaded a lot of songs from Amazon in MP3 format and finding that some of the songs just don't play. I see the name of the song on the display and then it just passes over it and doesn't play.
I don't have Navigation on this vehicle. I can take the same USB stick and put it in another car (newer) and it all the songs play fine. Why some MP3 files play and some don't?
Aside from spending $ to have the polarity reversed on the HVAC display, is there anything be done to darken the display letters and numerals? In the daylight this thing is unreadable. Very poor design by Toyota. Any little tricks that I don't know about?

View 5 RepliesAll of a sudden the rear right passenger window doesn't stay closed, it goes all the way up and then it goes down half way. It doesn't matter which switch I use, the driver's side or the passenger side. All the other windows go up as soon as you toggle the switch automatically up and stay up.
View 4 RepliesI noticed recently that my car has been running a little sluggish lately and can't figure out why. What I mean by sluggish is that when I press the gas the car is relatively slow to get up to speed. Getting onto the freeway for example, or just trying to take off "quickly" (it's a Hybrid so not trying to race anyone) just not noticing the car doesn't seem to get up to speed as quickly as before.
This is with ECO mode on or off, just more noticeable with it on. Just got the oil changed this morning, still noticing it.
The car has only about 35K on it so really puzzled as to what might be causing this problem.
I paired my iPhone 6S with my 2010 RX350, and the phone shows it is paired, but sound never comes out of the car speakers, only the phone. My iPhone 6 occasionally had the same issue.
View 4 RepliesJust got a (second) 2012 RX350. 13,000 miles. The Distance to Empty is confusing me. Doesn't come close to matching the tank size times either the mpg since last fill-up, or the overall average mpg. Overall mpg is 17.x. mpg since last fill-up varies from 17-21. But when I fill the tank, the DTE says maybe 260. With a 20gal tank the DTE after a fill-up should be in the 340-350 range.
This isn't happening on our other 2012 RX350 with about the same number of miles.
The needle gas gauge appears to be right, based on where the needle is before a fill-up and the number of gallons purchased.
