Lexus GX 2010+ :: Mode Selection Keeps Cycling Between FM1 To FM2

Just bought a GX 460 and the radio is acting like it's possessed. The mode selection keeps cycling through from AM to FM1 to FM2 then says no disk found. It's like it has a mind of its own or someone is pushing the "mode" button continuously. It will not stop. The other functions like nav, climate, ect still work and the touch screen still work I just can't get the radio to stop changing sources.

I noticed a ECO light pop up on the RX350 F Sport when driving.
What exactly does this mean? (ie. poor performance, not full pwer?)
Is there anyway to turn this off?

I never really pay attention on this ECO thing until someone drove my car and this ECO green light is disappeared and also I tried to check with the toggle button and it saw the ECO mode is OFF but I cannot figure out how to turn it back on?

RX450h. Just purchased used 2010 model and today with first hot weather discovered climate control not really working well in eco mode. After long search found the button which switched ECO mode off in multi information display BUT the green ECO word still kept displaying on Hybrid system Indicator. So now I am confused, do I still have ECO mode on or not? And how can i get that green ECO message of my hybrid meter?

You arrive at your destination and you are in the middle of listening to a hot news item or a song on the radio. It may be a while before this may finish and so you want to SHUT OFF the engine only and stop idling, but don't want to shut the rest of the electronics off.
So, yes you can do this by turning the engine off and then pressing the start button without placing the foot on the brake paddle. But by then you have lost so much important information streaming down from the radio (as it shuts off when you stop the engine).
So I was wondering if there is a way to go from ENGINE ON mode to just ACCESSORIES only mode without 1st stopping engine, then pressing start button.

On a 2011 RX450h, is it possible to disable the door chime when the drivers door is opened but the car is in accessory mode (i.e. not running)?
Since I just got the RX I've been playing a lot with the settings and audio presets. With the drivers door open the chime just continues forever and I cannot find any option to turn off the chime when in accessory mode.

I know the RX350 isn't a real SUV designed to go off-road, but after the recent blizzard on the East Coast I am really disappointed by the AWD in this car. My driveway is plowed by a truck so it is very clean, but the city plow leaves maybe a small 5 inch high pile that about 1 feet across after it goes by. My RX350 couldn't through that the front wheels just kept spinning. I tried snow mode and even push the 4 Lock which I think does nothing. The back wheel didn't even spin once it seemed like I was driving a FWD car.
Our older RX330 a 2004 model got stuck also, but when we jabbed the gas after a few seconds the car made this weird screeching sound and you could see the back wheels spin as it climbed the driveway no problem albeit slowly. Its a bit disappointing to see an older RX has better AWD then the newer models. I mean the back wheels didn't even spin on my 2010 the front wheels just spun. I tried turn traction control off, 4 lock, and snow mode no luck. Also when going up the 2010 kept sliding sideways on my 04 the steering felt washy, but at least it was sliding off the driveway.
I also had A6 before this and it has never gotten stuck and its a lower car so its not like a drive my car through snow bank. We ended driving the older RX everywhere this weekend as the 2010 is not very assuring when it snows.

I just bought a 2013 model RX350 about two weeks ago.
I am wondering why does my car default to 4th gear even at a stop when put into Selectable Gear Mode; I would think it should be in '1'. Is this a faulty vehicle requiring some fix?
In other brand vehicles I have driven, shifting into S-mode at standstill puts it in '1'. At highway speeds, it would be '6' and at intermediate speeds it will be some number in between. I can then upshift and downshift from that number as I would change gears in a manual drive car.
Is that kind of "manual simulated" driving feasible or advisable in the RX350 with the default 4th gear behavior? I have not dared to try starting from the '4th gear' for fear of ruining anything.

I have a concern about my 2010 Prius V(five). I've noticed some issues lately that may all tie in to one big problem.
1. My ev mode will not work at all. My battery will be fully charged and not in "B" mode. Turning car off and on will not work.
2. Engine will not turn off when coming to stops. Mind you when the battery is above 3 lines.
3. Throttle response feels like it's in PWR mode(super sensitive) but the engine is leggy. If I floor it for a sec the RPMS are super slow to come down.
4. The Eco line is quick to go in PWR portion and I'm not pushing it any harder than I was before all of this started. It seems like when I push the gas it skips the electric and automatically pulls from the engine.

You have more air from dash registers in MAX selection compared to Normal. Only thing that changes in system is recirculate to outside air. Defog and Defrost are not working as should be for conditions.
Cause: Ford put some material over the inlet inside of the cowl which restricts airflow from outside. Less than normal airflow will result in all selections other than MAX which takes air from cabin and not from outside.
The material may become clogged with dirt, pollen, & road film and also mildew causing odor or allergic reaction. This is a NHTSA recall type problem and should be fixed by Frod because of safety issues for malfunctioning defogger/defroster.
Not sure what years all affected. This is 2001 F150 XLT supercab 4x4 OffRoad with only 54000 miles.

On my wolfsburg i noticed that the temperature it set in the middle of my MFD where on my old 2007 passat wagon it was on the right of the MFD and the temp was on the left? Is this the way it is on the wolfsburg?

I have noticed in my 2009 Honda Accord that the temperature of the heated air coming out of the dash vents drops when I select "all dash" as opposed to "mix dash and floor." It's significant enough to notice as it blows on my hands. But the dealer says the difference is within 5 degrees, which is within specs, so they won't do anything.
I don't think I can measure it myself since I can't fully jam my thermometer in the dash vent, so any reading would be contaminated by ambient temperature.

Recently our 2003 SF, 2.7 v6, has begun not recognizing the ''D'' selection. It seems to know you want ''R'' or n or P. It has given a P0705 code indicating a problem with the switch that governs this. Where is the switch located ? Is it available from local parts or would you go to a dealer to get one. Assuming I can get to it; do I need any special tools ? It ain't much fun if you cant drive it.

All of a sudden my tire pressure light is on saying low tire. But they are fine of course so I go to check what is up and the tire pressure selection is missing from the menu. Sitting still of course. Tried everything short of hooking up the vag tool but figured it could not make it reappear ??

I have a 99' GMC 1500 Sierra SLT w/5.3 Vortec V-8 w/460,000 miles (yup !!) I bought the p/u w/59,000 miles, and the gear-selection lever on the column has always been hard to move when selecting gears. My daughter drives the p/u, and is hard for her to select gears.

My 99 Subaru Legacy Outback has an issue w/ the air/vent/defroster selections. The lights sometimes don't lite up and when that happens, the selection doesn't work. It sounds like the fan is working but the air is not coming out. If it's a vacuum leak, can I fix it by finding a leaky hose or is it an involved process?

My 2010 has no ACC mode. Took it to dealer to have key fob programed and dealer could not put car into ACC mode.
I'm second owner. This is not an issue of how to put in ACC mode. It does not enter ACC.

When I start my car at the beginning of the day I can never put my prius in EV mode even when the battery (battery at half) is not in low.
Also, as I am driving down my small street for about a few mins then it let me put in EV mode. When I do put it in EV mode, I only can drive up to 10mph and it cuts off.
This is when I'm already been driving for a good period of time like 30 mins. For example when coming from work my battery is charged pretty well because I'm on the freeway for about 24 miles. I put my prius on EV mode and I'm able to go up to 25 mpg. How come I am able to go 25mpg in EV mode after being in the prius for at least 30 mins and when in the morning in EV mode only at 10mpg?
