Just notice that the interior door handle light up amber color at night. Need to modify this bulb on the door handle enclosure? Any complications removing the door panel or other parts to access the bulb? Last of all, what type of bulb?

View 12 RepliesI always have humidity marks on the black portion of my interior door handle area and it seems like the water that gets in the door doesn't flow out completely. It kinda pools at the bottom in between the 3 small holes at the inside bottom of the door. The drain holes are clean but it seems there is a lip the water gets caught on.
View 2 RepliesWas replacing 168 bulbs tonight with led bulbs. Trunk went fine. I got a warm color that's a little whiter than stock and about twice as bright but 1/5th the power. I measured 49 ma vs 247 ma for the stock bulb. Then I went to replace the passenger door bulb. Put the led one in and it flickered on and off a few times and then went out. Figured it was a flaky loose connection. Check the contact and put the old bulb back in. Nothing. Checked the voltage at the connector. Nothing there either.
The fuse that controls that bulb has a bunch of other stuff on the same fuse which all still works, so unless there's a hidden fuse inside the door, then there's a wiring problem that just magically appeared now. I don't think there's a fancy controller. This light doesn't fade up or down and is not on a timer. It's directly controlled by the door switch and is instant on or off.
I can't seem to find a DIY on our generation RX to replace the fog light bulbs.
How did you do it? Under the front bumper, or pulling back the wheel well covers?
I decided to put white LED lights in my map light(the front 2 light) and after I put on the bulb I turn the light on and all my interior light including my dome light went off. My car clicker the trunk, alarm, door lock, and unlock doesn't work either so how do I fix. I don't know if I blew a fuse and I can't check as I don't have my car manual.

View 1 RepliesSo the driver door handle on the inside is no longer solid... it pulls out about 1/4 inch and pulls everything with it. Is this going to be a major adventure to fix (ie ripping the door apart?) or is it something pretty straight forward?
View 2 RepliesOn my passat, the right passenger door handle does not work from the inside. I recently had the window replaced on that door because window slipped.. But since i got the window fixed, the handle inside does not work properly. It opens the door, but you really have pull and push the door open. I only found one screw at the bottom of the panel inside to take it off, but the rest of the panel feels pretty tight, and i dont want to break anything either.
View 4 RepliesThe chrome film on my door handle is splitting and peeling (pictures below). Is there a way other than super glue to fix this. I know I'll have to replace the handle to properly fix this, but I just need a quick fix for now so it doesn't get any worse.
View 7 RepliesI'm having trouble figuring out how to remove the interior rear door handle from my 2009 Sonata. My wife scrapped the back door along a concrete parking post. I was able to find a replacement door in the same color, but the interior doesn't match. I'm able to get both door cards off but cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the inside door handle.
I have: removed the screw and slid the handle over to get it off the side of the door. Popped the two cables off the door housing and was able to remove the cable from the door handle connection. But for the lock switch mechanism, that appears to be encircled by plastic and I can't see a way to remove it without breaking the locking mechanism.
Had to get a replacement door due to a wreck. It's from a salvage yard, painted and ready to install except I want to swap my door handle over because of the key lock. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove this thing. I've got it unbolted and it'll move all around, just not slide out.

I am using the Meguiars Gold Leather spray for the leather which is doing a decent job, but I don't know what's best for the dashboard and the other parts.

View 2 Replies2004 F350 Lariat Crew Cab. My truck has been repeatedly attempted to be broken into through the keyhole. This time they fully punched it through the door, and now i have a hole where the lock should be.
I researched stuff like jimmi-jammers etc, but for the time being.. I am looking just to pick up a set of handles without keyholes. I have remote-less entry and keypad.
Couple questions... Would rear door handles off a crew cab, fit to the fronts? they look the exact same minus the keyhole.. and this would likely be the easiest to find.
Or... Is there any good websites i can take a look at that will manufacture keyless front driver and passenger side handles? They're textured black, and i would like them to match as best as possible.
How to replace low beam bulbs? all info i found was talk about whether they were covered under warranty or not? I got extended maintenance warranty to 100k miles, but bulbs, I don't think so. I just noticed today that both were out on low beam, high beam are fine. Should I take car to dealer? or is this something I can do myself?
View 3 RepliesI had my '09 F-150 Super Crew lock punched out on driver side door. To prevent this from happening again, I am replacing that handle with a handle for the rear door that has NO lock. I will no longer have key access to the truck. I am also ordering a spare remote. Is there anything I should consider before following through with this decision? Why I shouldn't do this? Is this a common thing to do?

View 17 RepliesI am a proud owner of a 14' Elantra Sport MT. Did a quick research and didn't find anything that is relevant to my issue. The door handles on the front driver and passenger door panels creek whenever you grab them, whether it is to shut the door or just grab them and give a light squeeze. Definitely not something a new car should be doing.
Another thing, I bought this car down south and am driving it back up to the northeast and during my journey I noticed that the wiper cowl vibrates from the wind, this is very annoying when the radio is turned down. It doesn't present itself until you reach speeds in excess of 60mph. Currently, the car is averaging 38mpg highway!
