I wanted to know what do you use to clean the interior of your GX? For example the wood, the chrome parts, the display, the plastic around the door switches? I am using the Meguiars Gold Leather spray for the leather which is doing a decent job, but I don't know what's best for the dashboard and the other parts.

I'm not a mechanic, but upon first inspection and a little tugging it appears that piece can be removed and possibly replaced with a new one? Don't really want to take her door panel off unless I have to (and don't want to waste the time if that piece can't be removed anyway).
Just notice that the interior door handle light up amber color at night. Need to modify this bulb on the door handle enclosure? Any complications removing the door panel or other parts to access the bulb? Last of all, what type of bulb?
View 4 RepliesI bought a Prius persona in 2013 brand-new and in about a year or year and a half later start slowly coming noises from interior plastics and now it's a 2 1/2-year-old car and I have noises from every single plastic that's in the interior. $29,000 car and two years 2 1/2 years after it's just annoying and embarrassing for Toyota. Dealership is refusing to do anything because I'm over 36,000 miles and the warranty that I bought originally with the car is refusing to do anything too. And the dealership wants to charge me per hour just to start and it could take up to the whole day or two days or half a day and it could cost me thousands of dollars on a $29,000 car is two years old, unbelievable.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2010 prius with a misty gray interior. Accidentally when getting out I scuffed the door and on another occasion I scuffed the plastic molding by the gas tank lever.
The scuffs are black marks and they bother me every time I look at them. Is there a way to get them out? I tried rubbing them out with some cleaner on a paper towel but no luck.
I have my Ex parked in the driveway, as the weather has been nice and I've been taking my motorcycle everywhere.
I went to get something out of it the other day... Opened the door and it sounds like I've left the hazards on... There's a clicking coming from the dashboard and the overhead lights, and running board lights blink. If I shut the door, it stops.
Do I need to call in a priest?

View 15 RepliesI just bought my 2015 Sonata a few days ago and tonight I noticed spots and cloudiness on the plastic in front of the gauges. I tried wiping it with a microfiber cloth, a magic eraser, and a piece of newspaper dipped in a mixture of vinegar and water, but nothing seems to get the spots/cloudiness to go away. It's really distracting, particularly at night. I plan on trying Meguiar's Plastx, and if that doesn't work, I'll probably have to take it to the dealership and see what they can do.
View 2 RepliesCleaning the MAF on the GX460? I have seen videos on youtube but the MAF positioning on the GX460 is a little hard to get to. I am wanting to clean the MAF because I am still experiencing some sluggishness. The vehicle's response had improved after a fuel induction and a spark plug change but it is still sluggish when compared to other GX's I have test drove. It is sort of inconsistent. Sometimes, it drives super smooth and the gears quickly shift other times the gears take forever to upshift and downshift.
View 1 RepliesMy 2010 Nissan Rogue was awesome until the clicks, squeaks, rattles, etc popped up after the first year. I've been slowly figuring them out, but one remaining problem is the squeaking plastic door panels. If I lean my arm on it or or leg against it, it creaks in many places. Going over bumps it'll do it on it's own. Is there anything I can do to remedy this? It is out of warranty as I have about 40K on it and they said that wouldn't qualify anyhow when it was under warranty as it was "cosmetic".

The fabric i have is suede I think, so it's easy to get dirty.. lints all over, stain from mini drink spills, etc. I've tried a few methods but none seem to take out the stain...SO I was wondering how to clean out everything from this fabric? And make it look new Also anyway to coat it to prevent it from getting any more dirty later on?

View 11 RepliesI have a 2003 Mini Cooper, and I'm having issues with the cabin blower fan. When it is cold outside, the fan works, but when it is hot outside, the fan doesn't work. It turns out, if I reach into the cabin airbox and give it a boost, it will start spinning again.
My guess is that the grease is old and junked up in there, and so when it is hot, it gets sticky and seizes up the motor. The main problem is on this year, the interior blower motor is only removable by taking the dash off and it is a big pain.
I want to ask if there are any recommended sprays or cleaners I can use on it without having to remove the dash. From the cabin filter airbox I can reach right into the fan's axle.
Recently I was driving down the road in my 99 B5 1.8T AUTO and my power windows stopped working from all the interior switches. First thing I did was get out of the car and use the key to roll them down, which worked fine. Here is what I have tried/looked into so far:
- All fuses are fine except #14 which i replaced
- Swapped the master control switch in the drivers door
- Checked the wire harness under driver carpet and the ground wire for frays or breaks
- Checked the CCM connectors and board for anything burnt or damaged
I will also add that the locks work from the door switches and the power mirrors don't work as well.
Looking to get the A/C working on my '78 F150 with integral (factory) A/C system. It is complete, but it seems to be blowing warm air as opposed to cold.
When I turn on the A/C, the compressor engages and the blower switches to the dashboard vents. I waited for a minute or two, but no cool air.
The sight glass has a silver line running through it. I assumed this was full? It would be black if it was low/empty.
I just got my Prius less than a week ago. It's a 2012 Pearl White basic Prius with solar panel sunroof/navigation package. (Canadian). I make sure everything is fully off when I go to turn my car off. I hold down the brake and press the start button for at least 2 seconds and everything turns right off. However, when I go back into my car after a few hours, or the next morning, soon as I open the door I notice the interior fan is running! What the heck? This has been doing this since I got it. Does it just come on automatically when I open my door (annoying) or is this running the entire time I'm not in the car?

View 12 RepliesWhen I open the driver door at night, the brake pump would dim the interior lights a little while running. Is this normal for a 6 month-old aux battery? All my trips are 30 mins or longer so it has plenty of opportunity to recharge.
