Nov 17, 2011
I bought a 2011 GX 460 premium, i have the car for 5 months now. I checked the tire pressure earlier and all tire pressure are low, i was wondering how come the tire pressure light did not light up. How to set up/ steps in adjusting tire pressure monitoring system. I searched on the manual, I can't find the steps.

If changing the rims on my '14 IS will affect the TPMS function? If so, am I able to transfer this on to my new set of rims? Also, is there a TPMS reset switch in the car?

How to reset and remove the error code on the tire pressure monitoring system?

I bought a used certified 2012 Toyota Camry LE with 6000 miles on it directly from the main and larger Toyota dealer two weeks ago, I chose to get original tires inflated with nitrogen which is a service provided by dealer.
Right now I'm realizing that the display screen is not showing me the tires at all, just the trip and gas consumption stats.
Before taking the car to dealer and get in line is there a way system may be reset so tires and of course pressure data are properly displayed?

I read the forums about the TPMS and saying low pressure.
But mine actually says: Tire Pressure Monitoring Malfunction
Something to that effect. That leads me to believe it has nothing to do with tire pressure but rather something is faulty. If it said tire pressure low that would be one thing...but it clearly says something about tire pressure monitor malfunction. I told the dealer to prepare to order a TPMS but he said he thinks it's the weather and he needs to look at it.

I am having a problem with my V6 early VIn Egg tire pressure monitoring system fault. I received the error so I checked the tire pressure on all tires. They were at the recommended levels. I therefore took it in for service and they had to replace the control unit. After picking it up from service, I received the error again. I took it back to service and they tried resetting the control unit. Well as expected, I received the error again. Currently, my egg is back in the shop as they are trying to resolve this problem. I also decided to have them fix the remote range since it's in the shop.

Just bought the car last week and I am getting somewhat used to the "bells' and whistles" as a new Prius owner. The owner's manual as well as the Nav/Entune manual describe the Tire Pressure Monitoring System as having not only an icon for low pressure on the dash indicator display, but "if equipped" a separate display on the Nav/Entune display which will give the readout for all tires including the low tire "when it senses a low tire condition" (taken from the manual).
I thought my v-five was equipped with the second feature but it will not display when selecting the "Car" button on the panel. I tried deflating a tire and in fact the icon appeared on the dash,(for a low tire) but I still was unable to read individual tire pressures on the Nav/Entune display.
My dealer says the only place he has seen the individual pressure display was on a Highlander.

Okay, so 2004 Touareg. The tire pressure monitoring system is constantly on, it says that it's the left rear sensor. we've replaced the left rear sensor (twice) then we find out that the antennae that receives the signal that is broadcast from the sensor was dangling in between the fender and the fender liner and there was duct tape wrapped around the unit.
It seems as though a previous dealer decided that duct taping the antennae back to the fender was the best way to fix the problem. well now we have replaced the antennae, and the sensor and the problem is still there. I don't know if there is a wiring problem, but is there a way with the Vag-Com that I can just disable the TPMS system and just monitor my tire pressure the old fashioned way with a tire gauge? or Can I unplug the tire pressure monitoring system module without it causing the light to constantly stay on and beep at me? or can i turn off the beeping and deal with the light without disabling the beeping for oil pressure, or speed warning, or low fuel, or whatever?

I have an Audi a8 2006 with tpms. I got an error yesterday saying all levels were low. Slightly. This morning before driving anywhere, I filled the tires to the spec pressures 38 fr and 36 rear. I initialized through the mmi system. When I had it display pressures the pressures on the drivers side were lower in the 30-33 range but with temps in the 118 range. On the pass side pressures were reading 38-40 with temps in the 80 range. The car was not driven for 16 hours prior to filling up tires. Car in a garage. Displayed values were as soon as i turned car on. I didn't drive 10 feet. What this means? Bad sensor? Receiver?

I blew my driver front out about 2 weeks and got a new tire the same day and the whole 9 yards. After changing the tire I would of thought the light would go off, but no its still on.

Yesterday I noticed a new message upon startup stating there is a fault with tire pressure monitoring system. The message still appears after several operation (startup) cycles. This exact message is not in the handbook, but it sounds like a sensor has gone out. Tire pressures are OK. I have thought about reprogramming the tire pressures to see if that is the problem, but I'm waiting for the tires to get cold before doing that.

I just purchased a V8 Touareg PPS and after about 100 miles, I received the message: "Tire Pressure Monitoring System Fault" in the MFI. Even though the error didn't indicate low pressure, I checked the tire pressures anyway with a digital tire pressure gauge and since they were just slightly off the recommended pressures, I increased the ones that were slightly low and decreased those slightly high and reset the monitoring system.
I then drove around for about 30 minutes while it relearned the pressures, and the system seemed to work for a few minutes -- I was able to read the pressures in all four tires again. BUT THEN, a few minutes later I received the same error again, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System Fault." What could be the problem? I'd like to know what it is before I take the car in so if any parts need to be ordered, I don't have to go in twice.

Have an 04 Touareg V8 with a tire pressure monitoring system fault. Dealer says that one of the sensors is bad - $400 to fix. Have heard that the TPMS in the 04 was bad, removed in 05.

I've recently purchased a MY2004 V10 TDI (one previous owner) and I'm very happy with it. When I press the VEHICLE button below the center console screen, a message appears stating 'Tire pressure monitoring system not available'.
I really hate having buttons that don't 'do' anything, so I'd like to know if the TPMS is simply an option my car doesn't have or if it is equipped with the system but the sensors are malfunctioning. I've tried pressing the button at different times (cold start, after driving etc.) but it always says the same thing.
If my car doesn't have this system, is it possible to retrofit it and would that be expensive?

Another 5k miles and the maintenance required light has come on. The 300h wants its tires rotated. I don't want to take it into the dealer just for that. Which tire goes where in a Lexus rotation? Also how to make sure the tire monitoring system knows the tire location has changed? I can move the tires around myself but don't know how to reset the tire monitoring system to the new tire location.

I just got a new set of rims and it seems the rims don't have the tire monitoring gauges on them, is there a way I can install these new rims without messing up the tire monitoring system or I cant install them at all. Also will this void any of the factory warranties on the car.

As the title says, I can't get the light to go off. I followed the procedure to reset it but after it blinks three times, the light is still on. I've also read that I need to take the car above speeds of 19mph and/or an hour, for light to disappear but still nothing. Although I didn't drive it more than an hour since my commute is short. I've made sure that the pressure is around 30psi on all four tires.

The tire pressure monitoring system warning light has stayed on even after I've filled the tires with the proper amount of air. Does this warning light have to be reset somehow?

Just replaced the tires and wheels on my 2005 EB Explorer. Purchased a set of Better aluminum wheels and tires on Craigslist. Problem is old ones had TPMS and new ones don't. I will put the sensors on the new wheels when the tires wear out, but don't feel like the expense until I need new tires. Is there an easy way to turn the system off so I don't get the message every time I start the vehicle?

My TPMS light comes on about 75% of the time. (That's not the light for low pressure.) I took it in to the dealer once and they replaced the valve stem in one tire. It continued to come off and on intermittently. This time the dealer said they needed reprogrammed. It still continued. This time, they said there was no evidence of an error message while running diagnostics. They told me to just ignore it from now on.
