The driver and passenger hip bolster (side facing the door) had a fold under the leather... When I took it in for warranty they said the heating element in the seats came loose. It's probably from getting in and out of the car, and they replaced the entire element, but the GX only had about 12k miles and is 2 years old.

My car is equipped with a remote starter, and I'm wondering if it is possible to set the rear defrost and the heating seats in order to having them activated when the car starts? I can not find any answers about that in the owner's manual or the remote starter manual. For now I have to activate these functions manually when I enter in the car. It would be great having side mirrors and rear glass defrosted before entering in the car.
I have a 2007 Saturn Relay with what seems like a bad seat heating element in the lower part of the seat. Is this something that an average mechanic can change out or is it something that must be changed out by an upholstery shop?
View 2 Replies2007. Blower motor not working. Replaced 2 fuses for blower motor and relay. Blower motor working. Horrible racket and steam coming from under car when I engaged car. I took the fuses back out. Air conditioner stuck on. I had to take the Compressor fuse out also. Car drives fine just have no heat/air.
View 2 RepliesWell I have climate control AC/heater systems. It seems to be working correctly in the front. Although I don't see any way of keeping the AC from running and still have the fan circulating air. OFF kills everything AUTO & manual modes still appear to activate the AC since the air appears cooler than the cool outside temperature. Not need if you're opening the sunroof to run the AC as well. Seems like an oversight.
Anyway reaching around the back with heat coming out the dash vents its just cool air out those column outputs. Maybe it has to run longer or engine much hotter. I pulled the manual and re read it again but its saying where air will go in various mode selections. I omits entirely if there is heat to the rear when the floor is the only output selected as it is in AUTO.
When they get heat out the columns on their system. This is a Limited.
I have a '99 psd f250 crew cab lariat, I just purchased seats from a 2005 F350 that are lariat heated and power. My seats are power but non heated is there a way to hook everything up.

View 6 RepliesI took this picture from the rear seat while leaning over the front seats. The two white arrows indicate where our front seats are rubbing the center console while we are seated. The rubbing makes a noise and will eventually leave a wear mark on the leather, the console or both. Any way to quiet the noise and to cushion the contact between the leather and the center console?
I'm looking for a product that is safe for leather that will decrease friction in this area so that the rubbing won't cause noise or leave wear marks on the leather. I'm only interested in treating the area of the seat that contacts the console so as not to change the overall appearance of the leather. Alternatively, I could treat the center console with a product that will make it more slippery.
We're looking to buy a 2013 or 2014 RX350 and have a couple questions about equipment. Specifically, is blind spot monitoring standard equipment for either year 2013 or 2014 or is this an option?
If heated seats are listed as an option for an RX does this mean that "cooled" or Ventilated seats are automatically included for years 2013 or 2014? I ask because I've seen "heated" seats listed on Autotrader, but the controllers pictured include heated and cooled. Of the cars, we've looked at they only had both heated/cooled or nothing. We haven't seen heated only.
If the RX does NOT have heated seats, is the leather still perforated for 2013/2014 models or is it solid like previous years?
So last couple days over the 4th, the heat was over 95.
AC Blowing out of the vent is cold but the rear seats passenger feels warm.
Even with the blower on the higher and temp on the lowest 65 (or lowest setting).
I put my hand towards the rear seat and I feel warm air. Near the vents are cool but its like the AC can't keep up with the heat ?

It was continuously spinning towards the right and my car scratched up a parked car until I finally was able to press the brakes and put it in park. After keeping it in park the steering wheel kept spinning out of control and didn't stop until the car was powered off.
View 14 RepliesJust got the 2010 and put 100 miles on it and found the front bumper loose on the passenger side. Difficult to see but it looked loose right by the headlight housing, a little pull and it popped up. Looked like the fastener was never there.
View 14 RepliesThis bad squeaking, loose rattling and (sometimes) banging noise from the left rear started happening about a couple weeks ago. I've removed all interior panels, even the exterior bumper thinking there was something loose and nothing. I suspect as a last resort it has to be the suspension despite the car having only 17k km.
What is strange is the rattle increases in sound volume and occurs more often the longer you drive and also if temperatures get colder.
In other words, if I have the car parked in my garage overnight (slightly above 0 C) and immediately drive next morning into sub-freezing temps and on bumpy roads, you don't hear it. But after 5-10 minutes of driving, you start to hear it and gets louder and more frequent.
Searched other threads and some have reported the shock as the problem for 2010/2011 models, but none had any sound or video to compare.

My father purchased the 2015 GX460 this past January and the car currently has 4,500 miles. The first complementary oil change was completed in July. I feel that the brake of his GX460 is not sensitive enough, and I have to step on the brake very hard to feel the truck stopping. Does every GX460 owner feel the same way? I told my father about this, and he said I'm just not used to it. I'm thinking about taking his truck back to Lexus to check it out.
The dashboard so far doesn't indicate any ABS problem. By the way, I'm an owner of a 2014 IS350 F-Sports, and my 350's brakes are much better in my opinion. I'm not sure whether my experience of my 350, which has larger brake calipers for its size, has influenced me to draw such conclusion about the GX460 brakes.
Also, I notice that when I step on/release the GX460 pedals, I hear some noise that sounds like air. Did some research about this on the forum, and some of you have that too. I still don't understand this issue.
I cannot figure out what to do when cold weather comes and I want heat in the car. I've never owned or driven a hybrid. Looks like there are two alternatives:
Set the internal temperature setting to whatever warmth I want, disable the "Automatic" setting, and assume that outside air will be drawn in and warmed by the engine and circulated inside.
Use "Automatic" and let the A/C setting automatically run to warm the air to the temperature I set.
I've been enjoying my new 2013 ES300h for the last 3 months and recently noticed that the auto temp settings go from 18 C to 32 C. I find this very odd as in the summer I would very much like it to be cooler than 18C and in the winter it would be extremely uncomfortable to keep the thermostat past 28C (once the car has warmed up).

View 9 RepliesMy 2008 ES350 started shaking and the front driver's side tire and rim started heating up. Turns out there is a hanging caliper, which needs to be replaced. That's the cause of the friction and heat on the rotor. I should replace both front calipers, pads and rotors, then bleed the brakes.
Mileage is about 90k.
