In vehicle settings, there is auto relock feature, i set it up to 60 seconds, the guy who did a walk through with us said, if we leave the car unlocked for 60 seconds it will automatically relock itself. Left the car in the garage for about 5 minutes and still didnt unlock. Is auto relock supposed to relock the car when we walk away?

I did not change the setting of this function and it was working very well last days so that when i get out from the car with my electronic key in my pocket, then the car automatically relocks after 30 second, but since yesterday no more this function is working... I thought the battery of the electronic key is low, i changed it but nothing happened.

View 2 RepliesHave problems getting window tinted? Just got my RC 350 and i took it to one of the most referred places in town for tints. (small town)
Anyways, they are having trouble with the drivers side window bc that little autoroll down feature when you open the door keeps on messing up the bottom edge of the tint. I've already taken it back to the shop for them to fix it and now I have to take it back on Monday to get it fixed again.
Any way to disable this auto roll down feature on the rc 350?
I have a 3rd gen Prius (registered in late 2009, but technically a 2010 model), with European "Premium" package including HID low beams and LED daytime running lights. The car has "auto" setting for lights, so I think it should be able to automatically turn on low beams in dark. At least dashboard lighting and the touch & go screen automatically dim, so there must be a sensor (the black dot in last photo, I think).
The problem is that low beams are always on (except in "parking lights only" mode). There is no difference between "auto" and "headlights on" setting. My guess is that this is because of the Nordic legislation requiring headlights being always turned on before 2010 (after 2010 daytime running lights were required/permitted in EU). Whether this behaviour can be changed through OBD programming? It really bothers me to run HIDs on daytime, because in the end all the extra energy is coming from fuel, and also because they have limited lifetime (and probably expensive to replace).
Our 2012 RX350 was recently in for collision repair (minor) at the dealer's shop and upon return all is well except that the one touch feature of the moonroof is gone. The open/close and up/down buttons all seem to do both functions now. I can't find reset procedure.

Page 774 of the owner's manual makes it sound like it is: "Your Lexus is equipped with a tire pressure warning system ...", but I do not see any reset switch anywhere on the lower right of the dash (page 21 of the manual). Normally the manual uses asterisks to denote options that may not be on a particular vehicle.

I'd like to turn the auto locking 'feature' off. By this I mean the doors locking at 7MPH.
I'm a long-time VAG-COM user, and have performed this operation on a couple of previous vehicles, but the Central Locking controller isn't accessible on this car.
VCDS reports 'no response from controller' after three attempts.
Trying to enable the auto lock feature so when I start driving the doors automatically all lock. I have the 5 digit code and followed Apoc's instructions of entering code, holding 7/8, pressing 3/4 and releasing 7/8. Did not work.
When I enter the code just on it's own it will unlock the door however when I enter the code just on it's own it will not lock the door. I do hear it doing something but just does not lock it. I also tried the ignition method. No luck there either. Horn never chirps. Tried it with the wipers on too just in case. Is there something wrong with the actuator possibly?
Someone mentioned that the '01 may not even have the feature.
'01 B5 V6 GLX wagon... Inside rear view mirror with auto-dim feature suddenly lost it's auto-dimming ness. Instead, the fluid that does the dimming kinda pools around in a random bubble-cloud within the glass and in various places within the mirror. It's distracting as heck.
View 6 RepliesIs there a way to disable to auto lock on these cars? When I put my car in park it unlocks it for me. Locking it is kinda cool, but not unlocking it. I had a situation a few days ago where I was sitting in a parking lot waiting for my girlfriend to get out of the store when a guy opened my door and tried to get in. He realized that he opened the wrong car door. I really do not want this type of situation to happen again due to the fact that I carry every single day. So, is there a way to disable the auto-lock "safety feature".

I know about the intensity wheel but it does not have enough to overcome the auto-dim feature. Can the auto-dim be disabled, ripped out, sent to Iran, threatened with a .45? View 2 RepliesSo I replaced my big fan today. Everyone knows that the factory fans are notorious for going out. After replacing the fan, I turn the car on and noticed that both fans were on... and never turned off. So I turned the car off, and turned the car over again. and they still were constantly running. I messed with the climatronic controls and when I have the settings on auto the fans are constantly running, when I have it on econ, they don't run. And when its on neither, the fans are constantly on unless I turn it off. Before replacing the fan, I replaced both the FCM, CTS, and the fan switch. Its becoming pretty frustrating. I supposed it could act as my own switch for the fans, hahaha. I've searched and havent found anything like this. Hopefully its something small
View 2 RepliesRX450h Climate Control ... This is annoying and all my riders complain about the A/C Auto mode on this car. Here is the issue in Auto Mode with the inside temp set at 72 degrees, and the outside temp is cold anywhere from 55 to 65 degrees the A/C always blows cold air into the car. I can never get heat to flow into the car. The manual says that auto controls the a/c flow, fan speed, and vents like auto in almost every car. What is wrong here? The A/C is always on blowing cold air regardless of the temperature set inside the car. To me it seems that the temperature setting for both passenger and driver do not work.
View 12 RepliesPossible to change the setting for the auto mode for the headlight to come on when it gets dark? I've always thought that they don't come on soon enough, particularly in heavy rain or towards sunset when I see many other cars with headlights on.
Couldn't find a section in the manual, but wondered if there was any undocumented tweak I could perform to get the lights to come on sooner so I can leave in in auto mode and not worry about it.
I have a 2011 Avalon Limited and live in the Dallas area. Are used the auto setting on my thermostat all the time. I noticed that in cold weather, the AC almost always switches on as part of the thermostat function. I don't understand that. For example, its 30 degrees outside, & I select Auto and set the temperature to 70 degrees, and the green AC light goes on. I want to avoid using more gas than I need to use, so I'm wondering why this might be so. It's a simple matter to simply press the AC and turn it off, but I'm wondering why it goes on in the first place.
View 1 RepliesI finally got my hands on tech stream cable and software and turned off DRL today. I also adjusted light sensitivity setting from normal to light 2. What i was trying to accomplish is to have faster respond of headlights coming on Auto and turning off quickly once it become light again if for example I am going through a tunnel.
I was in the mall today and headlights came on when i enter the garage. When i was leaving it was still light outside and yet even after 1 minute being outside of the cover garage the headlight would not turn off. I finally put it on DRL off and then back on auto and headlight stayed off.
Did i change the wrong setting? Is the result of me putting on light 2 means that while it will come on quicker in dark situation it will take longer to turn off?
