2014 gx 460 ... Installed micro sd card and navigation will not turn on ... The GX is brand new. Not sure what to do. The card works in another new gx on lot.
View 1 RepliesWhen we start the car, it goes to the Nav screen and the screen freezes up. We cannot do anything on the touch screen or even stop / start the radio using the button. We have to stop the engine and restart it to work normally. This happened a couple of times in the last two days. We have a Black / Black 2014 GX that we picked up last month.

View 3 RepliesWe just picked up a new 2016 Sonata and we just noticed the SD card for navigation is in the user manual. I'm OK with inserting it myself but I'm a little about breaking something on Day 1. My concern is how to remove the SD card cover, do you just snap it out?
View 4 RepliesJust got RSR Sport-i Coils installed on my 3IS. Love the ride and the look of the car with the drop. One problem though, when I start the car there is clicking noise from the two rear coils that last for about 1.5-2 seconds. I start the car, the dashboard and screens all begin to turn on, then the clicking happens for 2 seconds and then stops. This all occurs while the car is in park. There is no other clicking while i'm driving. Only when I start the car.
Im thinking it must be something with the stock system. Like something is trying to activate but it is being restricted. Im going to call the shop and try and bring it in tomorrow.
Anyway, heres a few pics of the car. Had them leave 1 finger width between the tire and fender. Also, kept the raked look so the rear sits a bit higher than the front.
I recently purchased a 2011 hyundai elantra and i bought a aftermarket navigation. I connected everything how it should be (i think) and the navigation screen would not turn on but the buttons work and volume and everything else but the screen wouldnt turn on. I took it to a mechanic and he told me it was this strip that was burned. But it was working before he messed with it now the radio doesn't sound. Nothing works. Im trying to find the name of this part so i can buy a replacement.

I accidentally hit the voice command button and when I said "cancel" it turned on the POIs How do I turn the POI off. I have been through all the menus and manuals but can't find where to turn them off. It only talks about amending them and turning them on. They are annoying (IMO) since they are not accurate.
At each car startup, after the navigation loads, it eventually settles on the map screen. Would prefer my personally adjusted home screen (the home button nearby the mouse) to just automatically appear on starting the vehicle. Is there a way to do this?
View 4 RepliesThe car is about a week old. Today, the NAV system (ML version), re-started a few times and then shut completely off. Re-starting the car does not work. Got a totally "off" screen and no sound. 2014 350?
Is there some way to reset it or turn it back on? I can't imagine that a brand new Lexus would have this sort of issue.
I got my car today and am a little annoyed. When the car is started the navigation turns on and displays my Dealerships Name and Picture. Is there any way to get this removed and do I have to go back to have them take this off?

View 2 RepliesI just got a 2014 ES350 and love it, however, I have one issue I can't seem to figure out and I have to assume their is an easy fix. When I use my phone (bluetooth via car) and I'm using the navigation system, the voice still give me directions while I'm on the phone. 1) it's distracting for me to have a conversation the same time the navigation is talking 2) the person on the phone hears it as well. Is their a way to set up so that the voice automatically mutes while I'm on the phone?

View 14 RepliesSo I picked up the IS 350 Fsport and was getting to know it while I peruse certain sections of the manuals. I have not read them front to back, lol.
I thought it was a bug but come to find out that certain navigation and phone features are not available when the vehicle is moving. The options are greyed out and unselectable. For example entering an address and web search are prohibited options while the car is moving. When the car stops, they become avalable.
Same thing for POI search, only edestination and category are available while moving. While navigating if you choose to see the turn by turn for the route under options, only the first three of the next turns will display when moving.
The phone call history is available and favorite contacs are available but contacts are unavailable. I guess they think the voice recognition is good enough substitute. Geeze, they don' know some of my contacts names and their pronunciation. Hard enought for a human to get some of those correct let alone a nav system.
In the navigation manual under safety on p5 it says "For your safety, some functions may become inoperable when driving. Unavailable screen buttons are dimmed. Only when the vehicle is not moving, can the destination and route selection be done. (of course they don't list all the options unavailable while driving, at lease not in safety)
Is normal for this navigation to automatically go back to previous screen while you are on "Radio" screen?
View 4 RepliesI just realized that I should be hearing the nav system giving me audible turn notifications. And I haven't been getting them. I have a destination entered, and am in the middle of being guided.
Having the audio system on/off makes no difference
I have the voice guides turned on (via Menu screen)
I have the voice volume set at 7 (via Menu screen)
Turning the speed-adaptive volume on/off makes no difference (via Menu screen)
I am on what seems to be the original DVD disc (v3.0?) that came with the car
I have what appears to be a dealer/aftermarket installed rear entertainment system (not OEM)
So:Does the nav system audio have it's own speaker and dedicated channel in the ML amplifier? Or perhaps it's own amplifier
I just purchase my 2013 ES 350. Now got home and now I realized I don't know how do I turn on the navigation system without starting the car engine. I am sure there is a way to do that but I don't know how.
