View 14 RepliesI have a 14 RX with 12,000 miles on it and want to reset the message. I'm not finding anything when doing a search here. Need to reset the message? I'll be doing my own oil changes and tire rotations since the first free dealer oil change and rotation.
View 1 RepliesI changed the oil in my 2012 Prius about 4000 mile ago and reset the "Maintenance Required" light. Today the "Maintenance Required" light came back on. Is there anything else (other than oil change intervals) that turns on the "Maintenance Required" ?
View 8 RepliesI changed my engine oil and filter at 15K and I don't know how to reset the light. It says "Oil Maintenance Required" and has yellow triangle with exclamation mark in middle of it.
View 14 RepliesHow to turn off the maintenance required light on a 2014 IS350? I can find info on a 2013 and older but nothing on a 2014.
View 5 RepliesMy 2015 is 350 F sport is due for its 5000 mile maintenance. My appointment isn't for a few days however. The "maintenance required" light now stays on, so I was wondering if its safe to continue driving the car? MIleage is at 5125.
View 8 RepliesI am just out of the dealer service period (2 years, 25000m). I took my Prius -v (3) 2012 to my mechanic. He did the oil and filter change, but could not reset the Maint Reqd light. It seems it is different from the regular Prius. I looked on the forum, and tried the suggestions, but none worked. It was supposed to be (with odometer showing).
Turn the “POWER” switch to ON mode. The multi-information displays initial screen will be displayed for a few seconds. While the initial screen is being displayed, press the “TRIP” steering switch (→P. 186) 3 times, pressing and holding the switch on the third time. I tried doing this both with my foot on the break and off, but all I got was a reset trip.
Got 14 Prius V back from first maintenance today and noticed the mechanic forgot to reset the light. So I called my advisor and she told me what to do. Here is process for others to share:
1. Set odo/trip to Trip A
2. Turn off vehicle
3. Hold down mi/hr-km/hr button on dash
4. While holding down button, turn on vehicle to ON state (Press Power button TWICE, but DO NOT press brake pedal - you don't want engine to start)
5. Wait while Maint Req light flashes, then goes off completely - about 4 seconds.
6. Turn off vehicle.
I have a 2006 camry xle v6 and recently my wife got a oil change and after a week the maint.required light stays on how do you reset this they must have forgot?
View 1 RepliesI watched a YouTube video on how to reset the maintenance message. Holding "ODO" then hitting start without foot on the brake didn't work like it did in the 2010 model year video. Something different for 2014?
View 3 RepliesI see from reading the Rx350 maintenance schedule there is a task to 'Reset Maintenance Reminder Light' Is this something a DIYr can do (simple to do on my 06 IS350) or is a PITA like on a German car..have to have a 'special tool'?
View 4 RepliesSo I've recently had my 10,000 kms service and the very next day this warning pops up on my screen that says "Injector Maintenance Required". I believe it's just a reminder. How to get rid of this warning? Or should i take my car back to the dealer?
View 5 RepliesI bought a certified used 2014 GX460 with 16K. I now have 20k. Last week while on vacation, 450 miles away from home, while on a stop light the engine just stopped. I re cranked pulled into Drive and it stopped again. I wanted a couple of mins and it re started. I pulled to a safe area and called my service adviser. He said to keep driving it. Probably just a fluke.
It drove good for the next 45 mins. Later same day we took off again in it. It stopped on me 6 more times. Some were while I was travelling at 60 mph. It just stopped. Had to pull to the side of the road before I lost all steering ability. Kind of scary when a 18 wheeler is on your bumper.
I had it towed to the dealership. They kept if for 5 days. They said they replaced some gaskets around the exhaust valves??? Not areal good explanation.
I drove it 1 1/2 days (45 miles) and it started doing this again. It is at the deal ship now.
Set up the free oil change for next week (10,600 on the odometer) and was wondering if this is an automatic light just based on mileage. Prior owner got a free 5,000 mile oil change and selling dealer changed the oil at 5,800 when we bought it.
But I guess if there's a reset somewhere that neither prior dealer took the time to do the car thinks it's time for it's first change. This is a 2014.5 SE Sport put in service July of 2014.
The maintenance required light came on. Do I really need to do any maintenance at 5k?
View 16 RepliesI have a 2005 prius. I changed the oil at a local gas station. How do you reset the mant required reminder from the dash.
View 1 RepliesI am going to forego the 25,000 maintenance and do the oil changes & such myself from here on out. How do I make the message go away?
