04 GX470 , open the back window while driving also had front windows open and all of a sudden I hear this noise like a helicopter to find that my moon roof was vibrating ? So I closed the back windows and everything was normal?

1). My key battery isn't that old.
2). Does it tell you the Moon Roof is open in case it might rain or?
I know you can open all windows and moon roof by holding down the remote fob door unlock button.
I know you can close all windows and moon roof by holding down the lock button on the outside door handles
Question; Is there any way to close all windows and moon roof with a single button from inside the car?
Moon roof is stuck open can hear motor trying to run on open side od switch but nothing on close...
View 1 RepliesAbout a quarter inch before it gets all the way closed it reverses and opens back up. I can stop it with the switch anywhere in between while it is closing, but not while it is opening.
It is acting like the bounce-back feature (as described in the manual) is activating, but the bounce-back override feature (pull and hold the SLIDE switch within two seconds of a bounce-back event) does nothing.
There are no signs of restriction, as it opens and closes very smooth and quiet, but it did make a loud pop sound the last time I used it a couple month ago. I can count on one hand the number of times I've used it.
So I go to this fancy laser carwash and notice the back of my head getting wet. Seems the back of the moon roof is letting in water when the high pressure jet passes over, it's not a lot but, this never happened to my other vehicles at the same wash.
I have noticed when the roof opens, it compresses further prior to sliding open. I wonder if it's somehow out of adjustment? I am not getting an "Open Moon Roof" notice on the dash.
I have about 5,000 on my 2.5 SEL. Back passenger window seems to make that annoying wind/whistle noise if I get above 20 mph. Even on non windy days it seems loud. I will have them look into it at my 10,000 mile check up.

View 10 RepliesHaving issue with a moon roof rattle in the up position, sounds as if the glass is loose. If I slightly close the rattle stops. Not sure if I want lexus taking apart the moon roof/ head liner to repair. I may just live with it, but would like to get it looked at. 2011 LS 460 sport.
View 8 RepliesFrom day 1, my car's been making this wind noise from driver's side window. It sounds like window is very slightly open and wind is sipping through at high speed, 60mph+.
I've read posts about our side mirror shape that might be at fault. I've also seen people mentioning how GS does not have "window fin" thing by side mirror when ES and LS have it.
So today while driving on highway when there was significant wind sipping noise, I folded my side mirror to see if that made any difference. Nope, no difference, not louder, not quieter. So I started to feel my hand along the window from inside, pushing different parts to if that made a difference. And there was one place that made the wind noise go away.
I found out that rubber/plastic guide on the door, top portion, right by the b-pillar, somewhat triangular shape part was loose. On passenger side, it was fitted tight but on driver's side, it was a bit loose. I fixed it tight and test drove, pretty windy weather, no wind noise now!!!
When I open the inner shade to my sunroof I get a wind noise? Is there a way to eliminate the wind noise other than keeping the inner shade closed.
View 8 RepliesSo I've been having some extra wind-noise from my driver side window when I am driving 50+ m[h. So at my oil change this past week, I noted this with my advisor and she said they would look into it.
Long story short I get my car back Wednesday and everything is taken care of, Windnoise is gone, aluminum side plates fixed and they even filled my tank. from 1/4 to full.
Flash forward to today, Friday. I noticed that my driver and passenger front windows had some stickers on them, noting that they were made in japan and only the car owner can remove them, I also notice there is a haze. I drove about 100miles in the last 2 days, mostly right at the crack of dawn and just before dusk. But today Friday it was ultra bright and I realized there was no tint on my front windows.
Lexus had actually replaced both the driver and passenger windows due to the excess windnoise, which to me is crazy, cause it really wasn't that bad. I called my service advisor about this issue, before I had releaized they replaced the windows and she said they should of re-tinted them and that they forgot too, so bring my car back in next week.
Long story short, Lexus is pretty awesome and I cant believe they replaced the windows for some wind noise. I honestly wouldn't of had them do that and spend all that money for something so insignificant, but kudos to them.
Getting excessive wind noise from the driver side window? specially in the top left corner where the window turns? its bugging the crap out of me and will be taking it to the dealership...

View 1 RepliesI was in the car wash the other day and got sprayed by a little bit of water that came in from the moon roof. When I went through the blower, I put may hand up and felt the air blowing in. Is there any way to adjust the unit so it closes or maybe replace the felt seal that is on the perimeter. Since I live in AZ, its not a a major deal, but it is annoying none the less. Let me know what you think.

View 24 RepliesIf I drive at higher speeds (anything above 40mph) I get an unusual wind vibration noise when the roof is fully retracted. If I roll it forward an inch or two it seems fine. Seems like a bit of a design flaw.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2002 VW Cabrio (convertible) and the back window is beginning to peel away from the canvas roof. We called a mechanic who says the entire roof needs replacing. This seems crazy as the the window just appears to be glued to the canvas.
View 3 RepliesAs it is, my roof racks are separated, as if they were going to carry skis or something else on them. I notice a typical wind noise at highways speeds, not unpleasant, but I wonder if I put them together at the rear, or took them off altogether, it would make much difference. Also, as I take off on cold mornings, I notice exhaust fumes collect on the rear window, then immediately evaporate away.
