View 6 RepliesSo I got some burned cds stuck in the unit just like everyone said would happen. the unit was full with 6 disks at the time. i removed the unit, removed the cds from the unit, and reinstalled it. once reinstalled i disconnected the battery for 20 minutes to clear any memory and when i tried to use the changer once more the error code 3 returned and the unit still reads full. I am guessing I was supposed to manually move the trays back to the empty position prior to reassembly because I dont hear them attempting to move at all. Even after I cleared the memory the car never read the disc trays as empty so that's my best guess.
View 14 RepliesWhere is the fuse located for our OEM radio head unit? I have no power coming in for the head unit and hopefully it's just a blown fuse!
View 1 RepliesI like the sound of my ML system in my 2003 SC430, but I hate the lack of features...
Specifically iPod integration, Bluetooth hands-free and Sat radio. Is there any way to swap out my stock Mark Levinson head unit with one that would do the above?
I know this is a weird post but I am looking for a climate control head unit that does not work. I need the silver covering plate that is part # 55901-24030 that is not damaged.
View 8 RepliesI recently joined the Lexus club purchasing a GS300, and I am very excited. I was thinking about swapping out the head unit, for something a little more modern, like an Apple CarPlay system. As I already have the Mark Levinson system in the car, if I were to change the head unit, would the Mark Levinson system be ruined or unusable, or would the new head unit integrate into the system. I ideally want to keep the ML system in tact, but have a more updated head unit...
View 14 Replies2005 f150 xlt supercrew. Battery dead overnight. New battery installed, and it was drained after a few days use, then an overnight sit. I hooked up my meter as required to check for an amp draw. 5.87a draw. Disconnected alternator, no change. Started pulling fuses. Fuse #107 Power Door Lock(BSM) pulled drops down to 1.04a. Radio power fuse pulled also, drops to .033a. I have had a problem with the 6 disc changer trying to load, read, eject etc so I will be changing out the head unit. I am stumped as to what to try for the 107 fuse though.
View 14 RepliesLooking for the wiring diagram for the steering wheel controls for the head unit, mainly which wire is volume. I bought a new head unit for my 04 f150 truck and cant find the wiring diagram online to figure it out. I know there are 3 separate connections.
1 main one for power, gnd, ant, speakers, etc..
1 for the subwoofer if your truck came with it which mine did.
1 for the steering wheel controls if your truck came with it which mine did.
I want to know what the different color wires are connected to on the steering wheel control connection. i have had no luck searching online for about an hour. I know I could buy an adapter but really only want the volume to work and figured if I could just tap into that one wire and connect it to my new head unit.
Yesterday everything worked. This morning nothing. Screen seems to be functioning but no sound comes through the speakers. No sound from radio, CD, nav, blue tooth, nothing. Mute is not on, checked that. When I got to work, I shut the car off, took out the key and re-started hoping it would reboot or something but no.
View 3 RepliesWhat is the location of the amp for the JBL head unit? Is it directly behind the unit in the dash or someplace else? Someone said it's underneath the passenger seat, but I don't see anything there.

View 2 RepliesSo yesterday i was installing my new JVC Headunit, after taking ages to take of the dash so i can remove the old radio i plugged in the new one and all the lights and everything worked... Then later after putting the dash back and plugging in the head unit the lights came on for 1 second and then it wwent off. The clock isn't working now, when i plug in the headunit you can hear it starting up but there is no light or anything coming on, and also the side mirror controls don't work... I'm thinking possibly one of the fuses may have blown but i don't have a clue where the fuseboxes are, how to get to them and which one i should be looking at.
View 1 RepliesNo audio in the head unit, the service menu is not displayed diagnostics audio.
View 7 Repliesmy 07 Camry has about 80k miles on her. I got fed up with the boring stock head unit and decided to get a new 8" headunit that would match the interior touch screen and all. Anyways I'm a fan of my AC as I normally use it. I took it to the audio shop to get my new headunit installed. I drive a couple hours enjoying it and decide to put on the ac. My problem is The air conditioning is only coming out of the passenger side now very cold and stale warm air is coming from the driver side vents. I can't figure it out. I got upset and went back to the shop to see if maybe they did something wrong and didn't hook something up correctly.
So they did everything they could and showed me that it wasn't any of there doing and that it's extremely "coincidental" that this happened immediately after they installed it. Anyways I'm also noticing that the light pointer above the dial on all 3 dials on the AC unit are not lighting up. And the light I am talking about is the pointer light that points and which measure of heat/cool comes out. The middle buttons still work and are lighting up as well as the off/on ac portions night back lights are working properly.
Also I have only the standard AC unit. Not dual climate. All my vents are set correctly as I never really mess with them. is there a possibility they could have damaged the Blend Door actuator. And know where the blend door actuator is located on a camry?
My 2007 is throwing a CEL code for the radio head unit. The code indicates the CD player is having problems ejecting the CD (there is no CD in the player)
The issue is not affecting the car or engine or MPG. The issue is that I cannot renew my registration without an inspection. I will not pass the inspection with a CEL light on
I have reset the code by disconnecting the battery.
Is there any way to kill the radio or the code.
My JBL head unit keeps dying. My 2011 Prius Three, not III, is currently on its 3rd head unit, and this one is dying also. About once per year, the head unit starts displaying gibberish on the LCD, often with horizontal lines marching upwards. As the problem persists, the display gets worse. Finally, the buttons start malfunctioning. Pressing the power button might eject a CD, pushing a radio preset button might switch to CD, etc.
View 5 RepliesSo I am pretty sure my factory head unit will stream Via Bluetooth from my iPhone or my android, it's pairing with the car for the phone feature.
However it won't let me stream music, there is an Icon on the stereo but it doesn't do anything.
I'm installing a double DIN head unit in my 2004 Santa Fe. It's a base model. I took out the old unit and noticed this silver metal bar. This plate takes up too much room and I can't install the new unit.
View 8 RepliesHow to remove the console center right under the radio head unit. I could not find any screws. But it did not pop out if I pull it.
View 2 RepliesWhat harnesses or adapters do I need to get my some aftermarket speakers plus my aftermarket subwoofer hooked up. I have a 4 channel for the speakers and a mono for the subwoofer.
Trying to figure out whether to go this route or buy the wiring harnesses and dash kit needed for my old pioneer d3 double din HU and hooking up RCA's that way.
I took my sub and amp out of my SD when i traded it in and I want to put it in my new truck but it has a stock head unit... I am not wanting to put a new deck in so I am curious how to do this with the stock stereo. I have a 2012 f150....
