The rear roof vents on my wife's GX470 only blows (non-cold) air, even though the rear controls are set for the coldest setting and the front is blowing ice cold. There are no error messages.
It's clear the rear is not working properly, yet there are no error messages.
I haven't been needing the A/C til recently due to the heat. When I have passengers in the rear and the A/C is set to just be body flow ( vs. body and feet), the rear blows but is noticeably weaker than the front. When I set it to both body and feet, the rear vents don't have any body flow and it is the same flow as when the rear is just set to feet. I went thru the manual and there doesn't appear to be anything incorrect (I am not in S mode) but the rear is just very weak in general with the controls on full.
View 5 RepliesThe air coming out the right front vents is cold; but, the air coming out the left front vents (driver's side) is warm. Sliding left ac slider switch up and down did no good. Considered fuse, but both left and right AC controls run through same fuse. Suspect bad motor for left side plenum duct, or bad connection, or faulty vacuum at motor (if motor is vacuum actuated). Considering removing dash cover to see if I can find the motor, but not sure how to remove dash cover, or even if that's the way to find the motor.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2006 RX400h. On 3 occasions I've been stranded. The car won't start and I get an error/message Shift to P when Starting. However I am in Park. It's coupled with a Check VSC System warning. Service department says I have just drained the accessory battery, however nothing is being used other than standard equip such as lights, dash etc. I've had all batteries changed in the car over the 4 years I've owned it. Is this usual?

View 5 RepliesIt seems the local dealership has finally figured out why the rear ac blows warm while the front blows cold. It only took 5 trips.
The part # comes out to F75Z19A522AA or F75Z-19A522-AA. Its listed on Tousley and other online parts outlet but so far all that I have called said it is no obsolete and they are no longer available from Ford.
Rear inlet door actuator - obsolete part? Where I can find this part (I'll even consider used)?
I have an '08 350 with less than 82K miles. My problem is the AC. The vents on the passenger side blow out cool air and all the vents on the driver's side blow out hot air. Even the vents in the backseat, the left one blows hot air and the right one blows cool (my son informed me of this as I hadn't even checked). As you can imagine it's very uncomfortable driving around in this CA heat every day, especially since the driver side vent in the center cannot be completely closed. What could cause this?

View 4 RepliesThe front a/c blows cold air but the 2nd row and back blows warm. Yes the temp dial is on cold on both dials. Is there a separate a/c clutch that I dont know about to ck the air gap? Is there a separate port to put freon in besides the front. I need to get this fixed because with my bulldogs in the back the heat will kill them.

View 8 RepliesI have a f150 2007 with a 4.2 in it. The CEL comes on and when this happens the air comes out the a/c vents and no where else. We have cleared the code out but it comes back on when we do clear it out the air blows out where the dial is set. I think there is a vac leak somewhere....
View 14 RepliesSometimes my Samsung S5 will connect and I am able to use Pandora, other times not. Bluetooth is always on. I get a message that says "Tether error" where the Pandora box is. Tried resetting the system by pressing and holding the volume button for 3 seconds, also turned off and back on bluetooth on my phone. Today I opened the app on my phone and still nothing.
This is on a 2014 IS 350 AWD F Sport.
1. I think my battery is getting weak.... when i cranked it, it didnt sound strong and the original battery eye says to add distilled water. I am thinking about getting a replacement battery at Costco.
2. so right after it started, the message of "Check Brake System" shows up. Tried to restart but no go. Drove about 15 miles and all seems fine but message is still there.
* is it OK to replace with a Costco brand battery (they have a great returns policy) and is there anything i need to do before or after replacement?
* could the Check Brake System be due to the weak battery? How can I reset it?
* Anything else that can cause this error message?
So with all of the snow we've been having in the north east this is usually an error message I get almost every week. Normally this is due to the front sonar sensors being covered in ice or snow and will go away once it melts when I'm parked in the garage or is washed off.
However the past few days, I've had the car washed a few times to make sure the salt is off of the sonar on the front bumper but I'm still getting the error message stating to check the front sonar. If I leave the park assist on it works for the sides but not the front and the error message still stays on the screen. I've hand-washed the sonar sensors several times and 'massaged' them in place to maybe break up some ice behind the bumper or get the sensor to work but I've gotten nothing. Upon further inspection, one of the sensors has a deep scratch in it to where you can see past the paint of the car slightly.
I'm really not looking forward to taking the car to the dealer to have them look at the sensor because they will most likely charge me a ton. I saw a few other posts on the forums about the LS400 from '99-'00 having a similar issue and it cost them $550 to get it fixed. Obviously it's not the same car but I'm expecting a similar quote. I'm assuming the paint scratch is what is causing the issue as another post for the LS mentioned the same thing and said they had to scratch all the paint off of the sensor to make it work again.
My 2008 LS460L has been periodically displaying the following message in the dash display: "VSC System Error" ...
This message displays on and off about every other day. Yesterday, I hooked an OBD2 scanner up and discovered the following error code history:
P0171 : System Too Lean Bank 1
P0174 : System Too Lean Bank 2
P0022 : "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded Bank 2
P0335 : Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit
P2195 : 02 Sensor Biased/Stuck Lean Bank 1 Sensor 1
Every now and then the engine will run a little rough, but usually at low RPM, and (again) not very often. The car has 166,000 miles of mostly highway driving.
2004 V8 Touareg. Was getting all the "low voltage" error messages. "workshop fault" "headlight adjust" "brake system". Then one day I used my second key and get a "Key Battery not Found" message.
Dealer says the "low voltage" error messages have to be reprogrammed out of the computer and cannot be simply cleared. FYI I have a vagcom. They say there is no fix and I can either pay for a new battery or come back in to have them reprogram when they come up again. Is this true? New battery makes no sense to me as the battery is only two yrs old. Seems like quite the hassle as any cold weather and not starting up the car for a couple of days and I got to make a trip to the dealer. Is there a fix for this?
"Key Battery not Found"- Never saw this message until I used my second key. It obviously has a key battery since it opens the doors. Dealer is stumped and they wanted me to pick up the vehicle telling me that it was fine and the message didn't mean anything.
My ex-wife has a 2008 Prius. When trying to get heat, either using Auto A/C or manual, the display panel shows that only the floor vents are open. However, forced air is flowing from the upper vents on the dash. The air from these vents is not warmed. It seems to be unheated outside air. It's unclear whether this is a new problem, since the owner doesn't know if this behavior has been there since she bought the car. She does report that the car has always taken a long time to get comfortable in winter.

View 4 RepliesI have a 2004 TReg, V8, and air suspension. In the past three weeks I have gotten the following error message displayed for about five seconds each of the six times it has appeared on the MFI:
"Electrics: Consumers are switched off."
Nothing seems to happen while driving; the radio and everything else seems to keep working.
I've read around the forums stating the P Lock error is common from a low battery causing the vehicle not to start.
The strange thing is that my vehicle DOES start and the message appears and the dash shows READY and I am able to enter gear and drive. If I hit a button on the console the message goes away and if I'm driving at higher speeds the message does not return but the large triangle stays. The error message only reappears when I slow down to 3 mph.
The error does flash back on the screen when I slow down to stop or sit at a light. The car does not shut off during this it just flashes the message and shows the large triangle.
My battery test shows 12.3v on no load and 11.6 on a load. I would hate to replace my battery and have the issue not be resolved.
The A/C on my 2004 Accord has started blowing warm air out of the 2 driver side vents, but still blows cold air out of the 2 passenger side vents. It also occasionally blows condensation out of the 2 cold passenger vents. When this same thing happened last summer, the condenser and compressor were replaced within 3 weeks of each other. It is less than a year later and the same problem is occurring. Even more odd; every once in a while the 2 driver side vents will blow cold for just a few minutes, then revert to blowing warm air. The car does not have dual climate controls.
