View 1 RepliesLooking for info on how to replace the cabin air filter in my 2013 es300h !
View 7 RepliesI did it about two years ago following steps on here but i forgot where to hold the engine cover to take it off, it can be broken if done incorrectly so where to grab that cover to pull it off?
View 2 RepliesHow to replace the engine air filter in my 2010 Santa Fe? I can see where it is but I am having a hard time taking it out after I loosen the clips.
View 19 RepliesI used to replace my LS430 cabin air filter myself. Now I have a 2012 LS460, and they have made the hatch door in the glove box motorized. I know to open the hatch, it has something to do with depressing the Fan button on the dash. But I don't know exactly what to press, if car should be running, or ignition simply On but not running, etc. What is the exact procedure that opens the little hatch in the glove box so I can replace the filter ? (And my primary reason for wanting to bring it to dealer is simply that it took me 5 minutes to do it on my LS430, vs MUCH longer to go to my dealer.)
View 10 RepliesSo there I was doing a simple oil change and when I took the filter out I noticed the little spring on top, in the center of the big spring (oil filter adapter) cocked to the side with the little plastic piece broken.
does anybody know if I can replace just the oil filter adapter (spring thingy that goes in the middle of the filter when installed) or do I have to replace the whole filter bowl assembly? And if so where would be a good place to get this part?
I went to VW and on the invoice sheet states that it recommends the air filter being replaced in july. How can I be sure when to replace air filter? Does it pop on the menu screen?
View 4 RepliesBought a 2013 model last spring. Yesterday, When I made a trip to airport for dropping my girl friend off. I drove it back about 35miles to home. A/C ON makes terrible smell. Immediately I suspect for condition of cabin air filter from my experience from the past. After I switched it back and forth of recirculation switch. I am pretty sure it is involving with. Now I tried to reach it. But I can not figure out how to take grove box rid with out giving a damage. Even it may not there behind a glove box (my wild guess).
View 2 RepliesMy 1999 Camry (4 cylinder) has 97, 500 (+ or -) and back when cars had points etc. I used to do some of the work myself.
Anyway, I want to change the air filter. I did some research online which instructed me to push back the "accordian hose" connected to the air mass meter (or whatever it is called). Easy enough, however, the accordian hose is solid. It does not have the ability to flex.
Was cleaning my car yesterday and noticed what looked like fluff through the battery vent in the rear seat.
View 7 RepliesCan I replace just the oil filter without draining the oil? The reason is I have changed the oil today, but could not get the oil filter housing off, so when I get the proper tool in a couple of days - can I replace just the filter? I mean, will the oil stay in the sump or will all of it drain through the oil filter housing when I open it?
View 2 RepliesDriver's side isn't putting out any bass at all. Passenger side isn't sounding good either.
Since I don't know if the speaker is dead, or if the amp channel is dead, I'm going to order just one speaker at first and replace the driver's side. If it starts working I'll either repair the foam on the passenger side (most likely thing wrong with it) or order another speaker. If it doesn't start working, the replacement will go in the passenger door, and I'll consider if it's worth getting the Mark Levinson amp repaired.
I used the Autosound 2000 disc 105 Track 24 to check this. Put that track on repeat, then use the balance/fader controls to target individual channels. Track 25 will test the mid-bass speaker found in the front doors, then Track 26 for the tweeter.

My son was getting out of the back seat and pulled his coat across the cup holder in the center console and broke it. The dealer said that I have to buy the whole arm rest for $1100. I can unzip the leather and there is two screws in the back that can be removed and the cup holder comes out. Can replace just the cup holder?
View 12 RepliesWhy is there foam in my wife's in-cabin air filter?
View 3 RepliesWhere about is this filter located? is it the cabin filter in the glovebox?
View 7 RepliesI need to replace one of the tailights on my wife's '06 RX330. It's one of the inboard tailights that, along with a backup light, is contained in a module in the rear liftgate.
How to remove the module for access to the lights? I see a screw/nut that apparently must be removed first, but after removing it, I couldn't tell whether module pulled straight out (or forward when the liftgate is closed), if it pulled to the side of the car, or if there's another fastener I missed. I don't want to pull the wrong way and break something......
I just bought a 2005 GX470 with 107k miles. Very happy with my purchase. The truck is in great condition, very well maintained, super clean, with lots of service records. Previous original owner did not skip any of the recommended items when it came to service, including T-belt, water pump, etc.
However, while inspecting the SUV today, i found one problem. On the driver side, the inner CV boot is torn and it is spraying some gray looking grease around. The passenger side, looks fine.
My question is... how hard is to replace the torn CV boot on these trucks? Do i need any special tools? Should i just replace the boot(s) or do the whole CV axle?
I've replaced CV boots on Nissan Maxima and old Audi in the past and it was a doable but time consuming task. Both times, i wished i replaced the entire axle vs dealing with fixing individual CV boots.
What is the Lexus / Toyota part number for the RX 450h engine air filter?
View 2 RepliesI have 2008 LS 460 and replace engine oil warning light comes on every 3,000 miles. I plan on changing oil every 5,000 miles. How can I change warning to coincide? What are thoughts on changing every 7,500 if no pulling or hills? I am using synthetic Royal Purple. Is it worth the cost?
View 1 RepliesI've been researching how to replace the coolant in my 2004 Camry XLE V6 1mz-fe engine with 55k miles but I need a little more information. It uses the super long life pink coolant. It says service at 100k or 10 years but I feel it is time to replace and or flush the system. I wanted to used distilled water to flush the system but I guess this won't work because the pink stuff is premixed. I would like to drain the entire cooling system and fill again with fresh toyota pink so I can leave it alone for another 5 years.
So my question is, what is the best method to service my cooling system considering I am going to use the same toyota pink coolant. If the proper way is only a drain and flush, I've heard there are two drains on the block in addition to the radiator drain on the v6 1mz-fe. Where are these block drains on the 1mz-fe and will this drain the entire cooling system?
After replacing fuel filter, pump relay, and air filter for good measure my 2002 f250 v10 gas engine still wont start. What to do?
