We have a 2004 Lexus GX400. Both electronic side-view mirrors stick. In reverse, they stick and often the driver controls work intermittently.

View 6 RepliesI have a 2013 RX. This problem just started today. Have I accidentally changed some setting or do I need to take the car to the dealer for repair?
View 5 RepliesI have a 2003 Camry LE. A replacement drivers side exterior door handle was installed yesterday. The battery was disconnected. Today neither of the side view mirrors work.
(re: checking fuse. Where located & initials on the cover? I don't see it in the manual ).
PS- My girl has 189,000 miles. She has never stalled, sputtered, hesitated. A testament to regular basic upkeep.
There's a light under both side mirrors that is supposed to light up when the car is unlocked or when a door is open. However, my lovely Egg doesn't do this. Is there a button on my space ship that i have to push?
View 6 RepliesFor those of you with power folding mirrors on their Golf VIs: Do you ever experience unfolding lag? Mine sometimes take up to 2 mins to unfold after moving the rotary switch, while other times they unfold instantly.
View 19 RepliesOver the past 6 months my side view mirrors have been getting finicky about tilting down. In other directions they move fine (left, right, up).
I just tried replacing the mirror switch, and it didn't fix anything; the exact same symptoms are there. Here's what I observe
* Neither the driver nor passenger side mirrors will aim down
* Left/Right/Up all work fine
* Occasionally (but rarely), they will suddenly work.
* Replacing the switch fixed nothing
* I also checked the wiring from the door to the switch and there were no visible cracks or damage, and the pins were well seated in the plug.
* Holding the mirror control in 'down' and wiggling the wiring makes no difference.
* I have a 2 door '13 Golf R (posting in GTI forum because it's more active).
* I have heated mirrors, but no folding or auto-dip.
I saw a number of posts on mods, and a couple on switch issues but in all of those installing a new switch seemed to do the trick.
For some strange reason, my side-view mirror (passenger) stopped angling down when in reverse . . .
View 10 RepliesLooking for directions to remove mirror housing. I'm switching to the brushed aluminum look.
And while i was at it i wanted to switch out the side view mirrors for the blue tinted mirrors.
All of a sudden the Side View mirrors on my prius aren't working. Which fuse controls the Side View mirrors?
View 6 RepliesI believe it is a great feature to automatically adjust the side view mirrors downward when the car is put into reverse. One question, Does the passenger side mirror the only mirror which adjusts downward? My drivers side mirror does not move at all.
View 4 RepliesI have an 07 Camry SE V6 with auto dimming rear and side view mirrors that just stopped working. I've checked the fuses and everything is ok - where to look next?
View 14 RepliesDo both mirrors go down evenly when car is put in reverse! My passenger side goes down further then driver side.
View 4 RepliesThis triangular piece of trim adjacent to the side-view mirror on my 2004 Lexus RX330 has several "wrinkles" and other abnormal markings on the trim piece. This problem only appears on the passenger side. Also, there are a few of these wrinkles on the window pillars.
View 5 RepliesGot car back from inspection with driver mirror folded in. I popped it back out and tried to adjust, but it would only move up and down a little, and wouldn't move side-to-side at all. I then checked the passenger mirror, which hadn't been touched, and it didn't adjust at all (though it clicked once each time I pressed). When backing up, the driver mirror dropped to the curb position properly, but the passenger mirror didn't budge. Both mirrors had worked well previously and stopped working at the same time.
It seemed unlikely that the motors would give out at the same time, so I first wondered if it could be the switch, but the click seems to indicate that the mirror is getting a signal. So back to things affecting the actual mirrors...
In reading several posts, I came across one poster who seemed to be saying that he had this problem only on hot days, but not on cool days. My problem started (or at least I became aware of it) on the 1st over-90-degree day of the season, so that got my attention. This evening, after the outside temp dropped to the mid-80s, I tried again. This time things were somewhat better, but inconsistent. The driver side mirror moved up and down quite well, but side-to-side just intermittently. The passenger mirror moved slowly in all directions at first, but then stopped working again. I tried again when the temp dipped to 77 - left moved okay in all directions, right moved side-to-side, but not up and down. So it definitely seems to be affected by the outside temperature. I've had the car since March of 2015, and did not run into this problem last summer.
I'm wondering what this all means. Might something be gunking up from the heat, or are parts swelling or warping? I'm thinking of trying the fix posted by LS400_96 on 6/28/15 - if it's the same for an LX - though I truly am scared of breaking something. Or is it possible that it's somehow due to it being the FIRST hot day of the season? Might it adjust to summer if I just leave it alone?
I recently changed the battery. I had to do the window reset procedure. Went to carwash today, my driver side mirror was pushed in all the way. I tried to adjust it out via switch, but it would not work. I had to push out 3 clicks to return to my normal position. My side mirrors, won't adjust horizontally, but up and down works on both mirrors. It even works on auto tilt when in reverse. Is there a procedure to reset the mirrors? Or do I need to replace the switch?.
View 2 RepliesLately I've been having issues with my windows, door locks and power mirrors not working. Here are the symptoms;
What works;
Driver window Sunroof Key fob unlock/lock (Also all of the doors unlock when I open the door)
What does NOT work;
All passenger windows (they were working intermittently before but now none of them work) Door locks from any panel (Sometimes I can unlock the doors but can never lock them) Side view mirror controls
Seems like it could be a faulty ecu. Plan on removing the door this weekend to inspect everything.
Whenever I start the car at the moment, the rear view and wing mirrors are both in the dimmed position and I have to press the button under the rear view mirror to clear them to normal operation. Why this is happening? I can't find anything in the FAQ which covers it.
View 2 RepliesI can't adjust my exterior rear view mirrors with the control button. I tried looking up the fuse in the Owner's Manual and didn't see the one it could be? I checked 51 and 55. Which one it is? Or what else the issue could be? (I am not trying to do this while the car is moving)(2006 Avalon Limited)
View 4 RepliesDo the passenger side mirrors on the LX570 dip when n reverse? I have a 2013 model year LX and I can't figure out a way to make them do that automatically when I throw it in reverse. I like the multi-camera feature, but I do like using my mirrors when parking and want it to automatically dip the mirror.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2008 model LX-570. . . The side mirrors started to show issues. . . The left side: now completely does not fold. While the right side hesitates to fold and does not fold as smooth as before.
Is there any way to rectify this rather than going for two new pieces.
The tire pressure monitor comes on when there is only .5 difference in one tire. Then it won't go off.
Also, the driver's side mirror will not program and it has a mind of its own just changing randomly every time I back in.
