My left blinker on my GX stopped working about 2 months ago. I had the tires and brakes done yesterday at Firestone. I asked them to replace the bulb for me as the blinker did not work and makes the "fast click" sound when activating it.
I was told that it is not the bulb and Firestone can't do anything about this. They believe something is loose or maybe an electrical problem?
I bought a new 2012 corolla a month ago and when the wiper is on the intermittent mode, the wipers make a click sound before it moves and then another click sound after it moves. I still can hear it half of the time with music on (only when the music Is quieter.
I listened to my friend's 2010 corolla and his car had a very faint click. I drove many other cars before and never had this sound. Is this a known sound for corolla?
My sc400 won't start it make a little click noise when I turn key the lights work but it don't crank how to fix for cheap??
View 2 RepliesBetween about 20-30mph, on light throttle the engine/transmission of my 2006 RX400h makes a low groaning sound, sending a vibration through to the cabin. The engine just seems to be very rough at this speeds, like the engine is labouring. After exactly 30mph, everything is very smooth. It is also very smooth when running in EV mode at any speed.
The harshness/vibration only comes on when accelerating, so have ruled out tyres etc. The mileage is 85,000, and it has had a recent major service at a Lexus dealer. I use premium fuel.
The Lexus dealer had a look at the car for 1 hour and inspected the exhaust, engine mountings etc. but could find no faults. I went on a test drive with the service technician and he did notice the vibration.
I have a 2004 GX470 that has been the best car. However a new sound has been heard coming from the interior behind the dash. Click Click Click and is constant even when a/c is off and radio is off. Only happens when car is running.

View 19 RepliesMy wife's '07 has that fast-blink thing going on with the left turn signal. The thing is, none of the bulbs are out. It does appear that the front ones are dimmer than the ones on the right (which work fine).
View 8 RepliesI just recently replaced my front driver blinker and the replacement worked for about 5 days then it stopped working and the turn arrow started blinking fast again like when it was broken. I had to replace it cause a rock broke it before now I don't know whats wrong.
View 3 Repliesso all of a sudden I put my blinker on and it was flashing fast. My first response was to check if a bulb is out, not the case. Five minutes down the road my brake lights stopped working and the 3rd brake light stays on.. when I put a blinker on the rear lights and 3rd brake light and the lisence plate plate lights all flash at once.

View 4 RepliesSometime when I make a sharp turn (such as turning out of a parking lot) I hear a "pop or click" noise coming from the front end. I cant tell whether this is normal or not and I wanted to know if this was a sign of anything serious. The car only has 70k miles and is in pretty good shape. Still stock suspension.
View 8 RepliesI have a 07 Ls460. When downshifting from second to first there is a click that is sometimes a clunk. Lexus has replaced the trans with no change. They have cleaned and lubricated rear suspension bolts and replaced the rear shocks and springs and the differential mount. Again, no change.
This started at about 80k and continues at 123k. They have checked motor mounts, transmission mount and repacked the driveshaft spline. When the car is lifted into the air and the weight is off the suspension the noise will go away for a few days.
This noise has also been heard occasionally when rolling off the gas between 20/30 mph and then reapplying throttle. Lexus mechanics and area reps are at a loss to diagnosis. I have driven a 2008 loaner and it had the same noise.
So I've been driving my 3GS 350 and every time i make a right turn the left wheel makes this metal shaking sound? or scraping sound? I've checked it out seems like nothings in the way but I don't know how to tell if i have a bad wheel bearing..
View 9 RepliesI started getting this weird sound after 10K miles service. I noticed it when i parked my car in the garage and the engine was off. I get this sound with or without turning the AC.
It sounds like a very fast tapping/clicking under the hood. (it is like a cooling sound but much faster) ..I don't think i got this kind of sound before. I don't know how to describe it.. Here is the youtube link: [URL] .....

I have had my '02 SC since 2007 and frequently when I turn the key to start, I hear an instantaneous "electronic click" sound. I have ignored it and no service person has ever mentioned it, nor have I requested a Lexus diagnosis.
View 2 RepliesI woke up to a surprise this morning , the car earlier had this kinda issue where i would press the start button and it would not start and only make "Click" sound .. and after few attempts it would usually start and then this issue went away for few months for unknown reasons
Today it returned back i didn't move the car for 2 days over the weekend down here. I tried to start the car all it would do is Click sound but this time a very faint sound not like earlier where it was much louder .
I am assuming its the starter ? Where is it located ? What i read online and see could be just a bad starter selonoid .
On the drive home today I noticed a new sound on my 14 300h. On quiet subdivision streets, every time I press the brakes I hear a 'click', almost like a relay engaging, before the brakes start slowing down the car. I think it may be a relay but I never noticed this before. The sound is definitely from inside the engine compartment. Noticed this sound on 300h? It is very faint but repeatable with the brakes. I only hear it with the radio off.

Has this issue where blinkers don't blink? Especially when it's cold out it makes it worse.
I have a 99 f150 2wd v6 4.2 liter engine. Im going to sum up what happened and what I've done so far. One morning truck wouldnt start. Wouldn't crank, turn over, or even make a click click noise. I tried jumping it just to be sure but it didnt do anything. Battery is fine, interior lamps, displays, and radio all work fine.
I took the starter off, had it tested, it was bad so i got a new one. Still had the same problem. Finally, i got underneath the trunk and bridged the positive and negative on the starter solenoid and it fired right up. So the starter is not the problem.
Next I looked into the starter relay, if I bridged the positive and negative on the starter relay it fires right up just like the starter. But since that is only bypassing the starter relay, it didnt tell me whether the starter relay was good or bad. So I got a new starter relay and it worked! It started with the key with no problem 3 times! I thought the problem was fixed but when i tried to start it an hour later, nothing... Same problem as before.
I checked all my fuses, none were blown.
I'm under the assumption that either something leading to the starter relay is making the starter relay go bad OR there isn't enough power going to the starter relay. Maybe something in the ignition, even though my accessories are all still working.
It is the only vehicle I have to and from work. For now I am getting by with bridging positive and negative on the starter relay to start it but that is only a temporary fix.
Just started hearing a thumping/ rubbing sound when I make left turns (nothing moving forward or right turns). Thought it might be a tire rubbing but I can't see anything. Starting to think maybe a bad cv joint. Is their a way to check if a cv joint is bad? How hard would it be to replace a cv joint and shaft?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with about 105,000 miles. The transmission (or transfer case) recently started to make a clicking sound. It usually happens in 2 wheel drive mode and gets louder as the car warms up. the clicking sound occurs in all gears except park. It also gets faster with car speed. If the car is put into 4 wheel (full time) mode the sound seems to go away or is not as audible. When you shift back in 2 wheel drive mode the clicking sound comes back.
