View 5 RepliesHow to remove the door speaker grills on a 3rd Gen IS or a 4th Gen GS350 (without removing the door panels)? They appear to have the same 7" black plastic grill between IS and GS model.
I tried to pop them off with my fingers but it wouldn't budge...my finger nails bent halfway back though.
How to remove the pad on the right side of the center console ? Have a very irritating squeak that has begun in the area. Appears to be the leather like materiel rubbing on the plastic upper part of the console.
View 5 RepliesThe car is 3 months old, and I looked over the other day to see a bluish tint on the edge closest to the door of the front passenger seat. When I bought the car the finance lady warned me that blue jeans could leach into the seats but I thought she was just trying to scare me into buying a coating for the seats, which I didn't buy. I haven't tried to clean it yet.
View 6 RepliesI a new owner of a 2014 and have a question. When on the radio screen the app tab is grayed out. I can access the apps through the menu settings but not the radio. How do I get the app tab to work? I have the enform app on my phone and have it open. I also have all my accounts linked.
View 1 RepliesTonight I was driving while I had my radio and navigation turned on and I made a phone call to a friend and the screen said the call connected and my friend could hear me but I couldn't hear him. I called 3 times and got the same result.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2013 ES300h with Lexus Navigation Display. is it possible to have on display during driving climate or radio active? It now changes automatically to navigation.
View 4 RepliesI am enjoying my new ES350, however an issue I run into is do I keep the radio running when I turn off the engine?
The only way I have had luck continuing to listen to the radio is to turn the engine off and hit the start/stop button again. At that time the radio seems to reboot with the enform screen coming on. While workable there is some delay in the radio turning back on.
In the traditional key based On/Off there is a intermediate spot where I can turn the engine off but it still keeps the radio powered on. Anything similar in the ES350?
I'm looking at purchasing a 2014 ES300h. I have a couple voice command questions.
1. Can you adjust the cabin temperature by saying "driver temperature 67" ...
2. Can you adjust the radio by saying "XM Watercolors" ...
Audio levels significantly lower while playing CDs versus the radio? The audio system sounds great except for that. I have to set the volume to 59 to get reasonable levels vs. 38 or 39 on the radio.
View 5 RepliesOn the drive home today I noticed a new sound on my 14 300h. On quiet subdivision streets, every time I press the brakes I hear a 'click', almost like a relay engaging, before the brakes start slowing down the car. I think it may be a relay but I never noticed this before. The sound is definitely from inside the engine compartment. Noticed this sound on 300h? It is very faint but repeatable with the brakes. I only hear it with the radio off.
View 14 RepliesIHeart Radio has stopped working. Getting a connectivity error. Pandora works great.
Verizon Samsung S5 and a 2014 ES 300h. Phone has Android 4.4.4 with the latest Lexus Enform app. I've deleted and repaired the bluetooth connection and reloaded the Lexus app on my phone.
Also, bluetooth will randomly disconnect when making calls occasionally.
When I pair my smartphone to my GS350, and am listening to the radio (or music off the USB key), I can receive calls (automatically) when somebody calls me. In other words, when listening to radio, if somebody calls my phone, the call interrupts my music and I can respond to the call over the car's speakers/microphone - as expected. Great!
But when I use my phone for navigation (google maps), the spoken directions do not get passed to the car's speakers. What's worse, is that because the phone is trying to send directions over the BT connection, it disables the phone's speakers as well - so the spoken directions are not audible at all.
If I switch my car's media to the BT music (instead of radio/aux/USB), the nav directions come thru' fine. But that means that I am no longer listening to radio/USB in between the spoken directions.
This happens with my Android Nexus 6, and with my friend's iPhone 6.
I recently leased a new 13RX350. Something I find really annoying is switching the radio between FM/AM/XM. When I press "mode" on the steering wheel to change from one frequency to the next, the pre-set stations do not follow. What is I mean is if i am listening to XM Radio, and then I press "mode" to switch to FM and want to press the up/down to change the channel, I still get the XM Radio channel. The pre-set list does not change to FM and its such a hassle having to use the control console and scroll up 6 lists of pre-sets to get to FM. I'm wondering why Lexus did not make this more intuitive?
View 6 RepliesI all of a sudden starting having problem with my Bluetooth connection. I have an iPhone 6s (since September). It has latest operating system.
Now whenever I receive a text or notification on my phone it connects the Bluetooth. It shouldn't at all with app notifications. It then does release the connection.
Nav screen says call in progress. Hanging up phone from steering wheel does nothing. I must turn off Bluetooth on phone to release "the call" and listen to the radio.
I have a '13 GS with the Luxury Package that has the rear seat climate & radio controls. I'm not sure if there is an issue or if the system is locked....Of the rear controls everything related to audio portion works correctly...Now if I try to turn on the heated seats, or change the temperature, or blower speed none of those work as they should.
View 10 RepliesHaven't driven the 2013 ES 350 very much yet but my Nav map has suddenly turned to black and white instead of the initial multiple colors, even during the day. What happened ... can't seem to find on the system how to revert back without going thru 900+ page book. Also, the map is showing some roads/hwys. with tiny circles (attached to each other) instead of the previous thick lines?
Radio, don't have the XM service but when listening to std. issue radio, sometimes and lasting maybe for 8-10 seconds or so, the radio suddenly sounds very "echoey" and more emphasized, it seems, from the back speakers. Then it reverts back to "normal" - only to do it again within the same 20 min. drive-time.
How do I remove the Radio if the Tabs are Broken? I put the Keys and 2 out of 4 don't Catch... Don't even know if the 2 actually Catch either... How would i Remove the Radio?
View 7 RepliesI need to know how to unplug the accelerator wiring. I lift the little red lock on the side, but then I still can't unplug it. I've tried pressing on different places like is so common with other plugs, but no luck.
View 1 RepliesThis just started today and when I turned off my car and removed the key from the ignition, the radio stayed on. Also, when I opened the door, the door chime came on as if the lights were still on and now I'm not able to lock the car or set the alarm using my key. I've read that some vw cars are wired so that the radio stays on after the car is turned off, but this has never been the case with my car. My main concern is battery drainage and being unable to lock and arm my alarm.
View 2 RepliesI have a strange problem with my radio in 2012 Sonata GLS. I sometimes turn on the car and radio makes low pitch noise. I switch off the car but radio stays on making noise and radio display stays lit, I try to turn off the radio - does not work, I press radio buttons - no response - only low pitch noise. In the end I need to disconnect battery and it fixes the problem. This happened 2 or 3 times over last 4 months. I am not sure how I can consistently reproduce the problem.
