Prius (Gen 2) :: Front And Rear Wiper Washer Activation Reversed?

A weird problem occurred today on my 07 with 61000 miles, with no accidents or electrical problems before. When i pull the right stalk towards me to activate the front wiper washers, the rear washer turns on, and nothing at all comes out of the front washers, but the front wipers would still wipe several times as they normally would when front washers are activated.

Golf V R32 :: OEM Front Windshield Wiper Don't Squeak Properly

Found that OEM new wipers were not completely squeegee-ing the windshield. i.e. getting small patches of wet/unwiped areas. Seems like it's skimming some areas instead of actually wiping.

Lexus ES 2013+ :: Water / Moisture In Fog Lights After Reinstalling New Front Bumper

Dealer did repair work on front bumper. Now, after reinstalling a new front bumper, I noticed water starting to form inside the fog light assembly after it has rained. Dealer says this is normal due to our tropical weather. This has never happened prior to the repair work that was done.

Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Driver Side Windshield Wiper Not Working

06 GS300 Drove all day in freezing rain, but when I went to leave the store, the drivers side windshield wiper decided to stop working. I was able to make it back to the parking lot. The passenger side is working fine, but that was not working for me at the time. What could have caused this issue?

Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Auto Windshield Wiper Malfunction - Sensor Going Bad?

My auto windshield wiper function has become real sensitive...When driving in the lightest rain or even mist, my wipers start intermittently, then go faster and faster until they are going steadily, and in medium-light rain, often go to high speed. They never did this in the past, this has recently started. I turn them off, then back on and the process repeats. The auto wiper was always wonderful in the past, but not now.

Is there some kind of adjustment for this problem? Is my windshield sensor going bad?

Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Windshield Wiper Fluid Frozen In Supply Line

When temperature is lower than 15 degrees windshield wiper fluid freezes in supply line or squirter. Is this because of the cover at top of inside of the hood? Does that cover prevent engine heat keeping the system operable at lower temperatures. We need this system operable in the mountains of CO where ice melt is spread on the roads.

Lexus LS 2007+ :: Driver Side Windshield Wiper Blade Position Settings

I recently purchased a '09 LS460 SWB. I noticed the driver side windshield wiper arm sitting up high enough to be in my field of vision.

I'm aware that there is a "winter mode" that allows you to raise the arm up a few inches, but from everything I've read....usually the driver and passenger side arm raise together.

In my case, my passenger side arm sits nice and low near the hood, while the dirver is sitting an inch or two higher.

I tried pushing the driver arm down (with success), but after cycling the windshield wipers once, the driver side arm goes back to the higher position.

Elantra GD (2013+) :: Clicking Sound Comes From Front Dash When Turn On Rear Wiper

When I turn on the rear wiper there is a clicking sound that comes from the front dash. (click...click... ever time the wiper goes up/down)

I could have sworn I have never heard this noise before (and it is noticeable), but the dealer says it is the relay and it is normal.

I only bring this up because in the Ford I have as a rental while the Elantra is fix makes no noise when you use the rear wiper.

Santa Fe (DM - 2013+) :: Exterior Lighting Activation By Door / Dome

I got a 2013 awd 2.4 Sport. I am installing a set of running boards and would like to put an LED strip under the boards that is activated when the doors are opened. I am not looking to have glowing neons while driving. I want the feature for lighting up the ground area around the entry doors when someone enters/exits the vehicle. I want the LEDS to remain off otherwise. I figure it would be best to tap into the dome/door circuit but I am lost on how to do it best. My hang up is with getting wire from inside the passenger compartment to under the vehicle (Prefer not to go drilling holes through the floor) I did find a thread about interior lighting upgrades and the OP specified that there is a brown wire inside the A-Pillar that goes -output when the doors are opened. I discerned from that that I would run the LED strip positive lead to the battery and tap the LED strips negative lead to the brown wire.

Lexus ES 2013+ :: Tire Pressure Drop When Parked ES300H With Wheels Submerged In Icy Puddle

It's been harsh winter in NYC. Yesterday evening I parked my ES300H with right side wheels submerged in the icy puddle, meaning the water reached almost to the bottom of the brake rotors. Today I noticed that the rear back wheel looks flat. I check the wheel pressure in the dashboard, and I get 33psi on all wheels but 13psi on that flat one. I have no clue why the pressure drop didn't happen to the front right wheel. I pumped that flat tire and drove over 20 miles that day, no tire pressure drop.

So, the moral: Don't park/submerge your wheels in ice cold puddles.

Lexus ES 2013+ :: Windshield Replaced But RES+ Antenna Won't Attached Properly

Recently had my windshield replaced due to a stone chip and, as suspected, RES+ antenna could not properly be re-attached to inside of glass. Basically, the adhesive left on the antenna is barely attaching the thin antenna elements. And, one of the antenna elements is so thin there is no way you could neatly apply more adhesive and make it look reasonable.

I suspect, the only proper way to return to original condition is to replace the RES+ antenna assembly, too. I'm pretty sure the antenna on the glass is hardwired to the harness that goes all the way to the control module inside the dashboard, although I hope I'm wrong.

Prius (Gen 2) :: Squeaky Windshield Wiper Arm

I finally had enough of the annoying squeak-squeak-squeak of my wiper blades every time I used them. Time for a fix!

First, I narrowed down the problem by making sure it was not the rubber wiper blade rubbing against the windshield. You can rule this out by simply lifting the wiper arms up to the locked position and turning them on. If they still squeak it’s not the rubber rubbing against the glass.

By carefully listening I narrowed down the squeak to be coming from under the large black plastic cover on the passenger side wiper. From what I have read other Gen II Prius owners have had this same problem. I discovered that you CANNOT remove that cover without removing the wiper arm assembly. But it’s not too hard.

Tiguan :: Windshield Wiper Has Clattering And Skipping

So it rained today. I go to turn on my wipers, and they sound like this: [URL].......................

Clattering and skipping, only for the driver side. So I go to look at the wipers, and they look fine. Put it into service mode, and driver side is not flush to windshield. Took off the windshield blade and saw that the piece that attaches the blade to the arm is crooked. And then there's a slight bend in the arm itself. Pictures show it not very obvious, but is noticeable in person. And there is a bend on both, but the driver side is much more bent than the passenger, and its also at a different angle, hence the crooked attaching piece.

Touareg :: Car Won't Operate Windshield Wiper And Radio

I took delivery of a new 2004 Touareg V8 with nav system radio, yesterday. On the way home, in the rain, the front windshield wipers stopped working as well as sound from the radio (controls, menus, etc... were still illuminated) This is not very comforting. Windshield wipers are quite necessary in the rain. The general technology behind windshield wipers and radios would seem to be mature to the point that reliability need not be questioned. As a new owner having just been through an hour of instruction on operating this piece of machinery, I felt somewhat inadequate that I could not operate the windshield wipers and radio. I said to myself, it can't be this hard! My wife and I became frustrated at each other to the point of my speculation on who would get the vehicle in the divorce.

When I finally made my way into my driveway, I decided to check the wiper fuse because it was most necessary, rain being forecast for the next several days.

I pulled the 30A fuse for the wipers and found it to be OK. I then replaced it. Behold, both the wipers and radio began to work. (The manual does not say anything about the radio being connected to the wiper fuse) Case closed, I thought. 5 minutes later they went out again. I pulled the fuse, replaced it and eureka, they began to work again. I drove the vehicle today for about 30 minutes at which time they ceased to function once more.
