Where the parking assist sensor is in the front. I placed my license plate too far on the left I am assuming and the sensor is going off. For now I have just turned off the PA until after work. (is the PA a small visible circle?).
View 5 RepliesI have a 2008 LS. The buzzer for my front parking assist sensors is significantly louder than when the buzzer sounds for the rear sensors. I have adjusted the buzzer volume to the loudest position (#5), but the volume of the buzzer when the rear sensors activate is still much lower than for the front sensors.
The indicators on the nav screen for all the sensors are working properly. Do you find the volume is different between the front and rear sensors or do I have a problem?
I am asking because I inadvertently backed out of a driveway into a car that was parked directly across the street. I do not recall hearing the sensor sound before I hit the other car. At the time, my sensor volume was set on #3. When I checked, I could barely hear the buzzer from the rear sensors, but could clearly hear the buzzer from the front sensors. Resetting the buzzer volume to #5 has worked a bit, but I still wish the buzzer for the rear was louder.

When it snows and I am at a stop sign or red light the FRONT system starts beeping...
And there are no cars in front of me
I've noticed that when I'm seemingly close to an object on the right front, it doesn't set off the tone or show the symbol in that location. I don't know if the sensors on the right front are not working or if the sensitivity there is decreased, or if I'm just not getting too close to anything on the right front (don't think so).
View 2 RepliesI just noticed this morning that both rear parking assist and BSD on my 2015 SFS Limited are not working. Other than the button near the shifter to turn off the audible alarm for parking, I don't recall any other buttons or settings that would turn both systems off. I won't have access to the user manual until later this evening. I did clean off the rear parking sensors but that didn't change anything. Am I missing something?? What's common? Perhaps a fuse?

View 3 RepliesMy wife has a 2012 ES-350 with the Parking Assist feature but NO NAVIGATION. You have to get within about 2-3 feet of an object before the warning (visual and audible) detects an object in front or the year of the car. Can the "Sensitivity" be adjusted up so it will recognize a danger long before 2-3 feet ? My LS-460 has a Sensitivity Setting in The GPS settings but since her car does not have GPS, I don't know how to adjust the sensitivity to give her more warning of getting too close to another car or object. How to do this ?

For those that have done this, will I need to cut a hole for the sensors or will the sensors still work with the wrap covering them?
Odd thing is now that the iPhone app updated, whenever I lock/unlock my car via the app the front and rear parking lights flash (DRL and tail lights), once when locking and twice when unlocking. That's never happened before. The doors would just lock/unlock with no lights. Found that a bit weird considering all that was changed was the app software, unless an update was pushed to the module in the car and I didn't know. Not really a concern but odd nonetheless...
View 2 RepliesMy parking assist warning system has suddenly stopped working. (2007 LS460) I'm thinking I may have disabled it while pushing some other buttons or doing something else. I changed the distance to farthest but that didn't work. It was working perfectly last week. I did disable the auto down tilt on the steering wheel. Could this have also disable the parking assist?
View 10 RepliesI can be driving down the road and "blam", the "check parking assist" comes on my nav screen. This message screen comes on and goes off all the time. It comes on when I am not around anything close. I had the parking assist sensors checked and every thing checked out OK. Could this a an electrical problem? If it becomes irritating, I just turn the parking assist off.

I have pressed the "hold" button on the steering wheel and went to the display to make sure the parking assist volume is not at zero. however, WHY can't i hear the beep sound as i get close to objects? i would like to hear it since i am still getting used to the size of this vehicle.

View 2 RepliesI recently picked up a 2014 LX that has a Front Wide Camera in the grill (Im sure they all do). So when I go to park I noticed that the front Lexus Park Assist Sensor doesnt come on and start beeping as I get closer to the garage door nor does it come up on the screen. I took it in to get it looked at, and the dealer said they programmed it, but all they do is turn the front camera on to "Auto". My question is, is the front Park Assist Sensors not enabled if we have a Front Wide Camera? I tried looking in the manual and it shows you could adjust it, but when I check the settings I could only adjust the rear sensor.

View 4 RepliesI've had my '09 ES 350 for a few months now. I am disappointed in the low volume of parking sensor alert. The volume is all the way up and the switch is on. Expecting it to be louder as I am or do I have a faulty "speaker"? I'll be going to the dealer next month for service and will get their opinion at that time.

View 7 RepliesThe CEL just came on in my 20th AE Gti. The code indicates a Camshaft Position Sensor issue. Don't know where this sensor lives under the hood of the GTI? Is an easy enough fix for a beginner to attempt? (have hand tools, former bike mechanic, but no shop just a parking lot in the Texas sun!)
