Have had the puppy about a month. Getting about 31+ on the Hwy. Anyhoo for the real story, we got home today and noticed that there was a seal around the the sunroof, well on the driver side that was loose. Sort of a flex/accordion type. The other side didn't have one. Not sure, but it looks like it folds over to the outside under the slide track, but not sure. The other side is gone.
View 4 RepliesI recently upgraded from my '14 IS 250 to a '15 GS 350. So far I am loving the car except for one thing. When driving above 50mph, there is a very loud whistling/squeaking noise coming from the driver side mirror area that is driving me crazy when the window is open. If i close the mirrors, it goes away.
I plan to have the dealer look when i go for the 5k service.
When driving slow, and hit little bumps it sounds like its a loose exhaust, or something metal is loose. The sound is coming from the drivers side. What it might be, or had the same problem? Really don't want to take it all the way to the dealer.
View 14 RepliesWhat I'm normally accustomed to is that whatever side your mirror adjustment is set to will tilt down when you put the car in reverse. The other side normally stays as is. I believe my mom's LX570 might actually tilt both down.
I picked up my GS350 F-Sport today and I can't figure out the side mirrors. The salesperson told me that it doesn't tilt any more because the car has a rear view camera - but that doesn't make much sense as the purpose of the tilting is not to see what's behind you, but to watch the curb.
Right now, when I put the car in reverse, the LEFT mirror tilts (but it actually seems to turn away and go down). This happens regardless of which side the adjustment is set to. Normally, you'd want the right side to tilt as that's the side you parallel park on.
I couldn't find anything in the configuration settings at all.
I have noticed a rubber squeak from my driver's door on my 2010 ES 350. It disappears when the rubber is wet so I am thinking perhaps there is a silicon product that I could apply or another fix for this? Any solutions out there?
View 4 RepliesI took my gs350 for a drain and fill today. Before They did anything, The service advisor called and told me the pan gasket is leaking along with a seal? I am aware of the gasket on the pan but wasn't able to get any info on the seal. Is it a seal that is replaced regardless of leak or not if they drop the pan?
Got quoted 700+tax for pan drop, replace gasket and said seal with fill of fluid.
Headlight fogging up after car wash or rain.
Driver side window seal folds over badly, wind noise is evident.
Passenger side lumbar broken .
And finally. The front jerk when applying brakes. It's not there in the morning, gets worse as you start driving, feels like strut bar bushings, but all of the control arms were changed in February. Having a tech join me for a ride to show this problem to him. I'm staring to think it's either caliper, or brake actuator.
My driver side does not fold in anymore. I can hear the motor but it doesn't fold.
View 2 RepliesThe front of the rear bumper on the driver's side is loose from the main body. The clip on the bumper is ripped from where it tore. I've gone ahead and bought the clips and everything from Lexus near me, but need to know the best epoxy or glue to reconnect the clip area on the bumper so I can apply the clips.
Is the bumper on that spot (the back side of it, not the painted exterior, if that makes sense) fiberglass.
Friend of mine (whom I referred to Lexus) just bought. 15' GS on Friday. Friday night on the way home from the dealer (1 1/2 hour) he hit a 220-250lb 6-point buck/deer on the back road sometime after midnight, not even 3-4 miles from home. He is wondering whether or not insurance will total car. From the looks of it i'm hoping so too and all airbags have been deployed except front right passenger side. I would hate to take a brand new leased vehicle that never even made it home after repair.

View 14 RepliesI've had my 2013 GS350 for less than a week , but one thing I've noticed (compared to Acura) is that when I first start the car, the idle seems very high. This lasts for 5-10 mins, then seems to come down and becomes much quieter. Is that by design to get the engine warmed up sooner? It seems overall the idle is a bit higher and louder than I'm used to.
View 7 RepliesAfter driving my 2013 GS350 F-Sport for sometime at night. I notice the headlight is not as bright and F-Sport doesn't come with Foglamp.
I have couples questions.....
1. What kinda light build does BMW n Mecerdes use? I noticed the color is much brighter and white/purples. (I like bright light. My wife 2nd Gen GS had 6K HID for both Low/High beam.)
2. Where I can get the foglamp install professionally? OEM parts and all.
From day 1, my car's been making this wind noise from driver's side window. It sounds like window is very slightly open and wind is sipping through at high speed, 60mph+.
I've read posts about our side mirror shape that might be at fault. I've also seen people mentioning how GS does not have "window fin" thing by side mirror when ES and LS have it.
So today while driving on highway when there was significant wind sipping noise, I folded my side mirror to see if that made any difference. Nope, no difference, not louder, not quieter. So I started to feel my hand along the window from inside, pushing different parts to if that made a difference. And there was one place that made the wind noise go away.
I found out that rubber/plastic guide on the door, top portion, right by the b-pillar, somewhat triangular shape part was loose. On passenger side, it was fitted tight but on driver's side, it was a bit loose. I fixed it tight and test drove, pretty windy weather, no wind noise now!!!
I have had a rattle in my driver's side door since I picked up my car that was driving me crazy so when I took my ES300h into local Lexus dealer (Cool Springs in Franklin, TN) for my 1000 mile checkup, I asked them to fix it. As has happened to numerous others on the forum, they couldn't hear the rattle and did nothing.
When I got the car home, my wife and I went for a ride with her sitting behind me. We figured out it was the window rattling. When we moved the window down just slightly, so it's still sealed, the rattle went away.
When I turned off the car a light came on for open window but it still locked.
Today I visited my Dealer to check out the wind noise that we are hearing - driver and passenger. They did agree after a road test that there is a wind noise. They also took out another GS 350 and noticed the same. They called CA to check if others reported this problem and the answer was no. The Service Consultant indicated this will be entered to review in more detail. While waiting, I looked at cars in the showroom. The triangle filler at the front of the windows on the GS 460 and ES models had a horizontal ridge molded in this filler piece. Not sure for the reason - wind noise reduction?
Also, wanted the oil changed at 3K miles and the Consultant indicated it was not necessary. Stated that oil change is not needed until 10K miles due to now using synthetic oil. I do not agree with this. Will have oil changed in the next week to remove any fines that may be in the oil of the new engine.
Requested changes to the number of lane change turn signal blinks and lowering windows when depressing FOB unlock. The latter was no problem due to using a laptop interface. However, the signal change is using a combination of turn signal and wiper levers. I have a copy of the instructions and never have seen anything so complex. I don't understand why these changes cannot be make by the owner similar to some of the other features.
Just bought a 2013 GS 350 FSport. Noticed the cooling fan runs kinda loud. Seems to run a little louder than prior cars. Had the car inspected at a Lexus dealer before purchase. They didn't say anything about it.
View 4 RepliesGS 350 AWD. I use the plastic pipe attached to a tube for draining. Worked fine the first few oil changes, but now it won't drain. The only way I can get it to drain is to leave the pipe attached and very, very briefly start the car and then turn it off. Then the oil pours out as it should. This happened the last time as well. I'm now at about 40,000 miles.

How to remove the door speaker grills on a 3rd Gen IS or a 4th Gen GS350 (without removing the door panels)? They appear to have the same 7" black plastic grill between IS and GS model.
I tried to pop them off with my fingers but it wouldn't budge...my finger nails bent halfway back though.
My brother just bought a 2014 Avalon and he is selling it to me for next to nothing. I am planning to use them for my 2014 Lexus GS 350 RWD Luxury package as a winter tire setup. Will these wheels fit?
