I changed my brake pads and its squeaking at low speed when i am stopping.
I would like to know what do i need to grease when changing the brakes also do i need to grease the brake pads shims?
After driving my 2013 GS350 F-Sport for sometime at night. I notice the headlight is not as bright and F-Sport doesn't come with Foglamp.
I have couples questions.....
1. What kinda light build does BMW n Mecerdes use? I noticed the color is much brighter and white/purples. (I like bright light. My wife 2nd Gen GS had 6K HID for both Low/High beam.)
2. Where I can get the foglamp install professionally? OEM parts and all.
I just picked up my gs 350 fsport. having fun.. noticed that when i plug in my ipad to the usb port it recognizes it as an ipod. but.. here is the question.. it will play sound of music files no problem and but on the videos it only plays sound and give a message that device not video or something similar to that. Does that mean that some devices can be input through the usb to play video?
View 14 RepliesI recently lowered my wife's gs350 f sport and was wondering how to adjust the headlight beam? I followed the adjustment screws from the owner's manual and they tried to raise them, but they don't move. I know the headlights are adaptive so the move up and down with a motor so not sure if that is why they don't move with the adjustment screws.
View 10 RepliesWhat I'm normally accustomed to is that whatever side your mirror adjustment is set to will tilt down when you put the car in reverse. The other side normally stays as is. I believe my mom's LX570 might actually tilt both down.
I picked up my GS350 F-Sport today and I can't figure out the side mirrors. The salesperson told me that it doesn't tilt any more because the car has a rear view camera - but that doesn't make much sense as the purpose of the tilting is not to see what's behind you, but to watch the curb.
Right now, when I put the car in reverse, the LEFT mirror tilts (but it actually seems to turn away and go down). This happens regardless of which side the adjustment is set to. Normally, you'd want the right side to tilt as that's the side you parallel park on.
I couldn't find anything in the configuration settings at all.
I recently upgraded from my '14 IS 250 to a '15 GS 350. So far I am loving the car except for one thing. When driving above 50mph, there is a very loud whistling/squeaking noise coming from the driver side mirror area that is driving me crazy when the window is open. If i close the mirrors, it goes away.
I plan to have the dealer look when i go for the 5k service.
I bought a used 2014 F-sport and I took it to the dealer since the brakes are making the screech noise on low speed cold stops. The dealership stated that the brakes and rotors are all aftermarket and won't touch them.
My question (from searching and reading) is, any aftermarket rotors for the F-Sport RWD?
I am feeling disappointed just came out of a lemon law suit with a kia optima I bought two years ago. I figured we'll I should buy a better brand this time which my brother recommended cause I was going to buy another Infiniti I always had good things with those cars. But the last 2 nights I have been hearing a squeaking noise in my rear end of my brand new IS 350 F Sport. Only in sport plus mode. I was driving home from work at 2 am and driving through a canyon road cause I want to see how this car does as soon as the road got a little bumpy I was hearing a squeaking noise come out of the rear of the car. Then I get home and I hear it going over my speed bumps in my complex of my condos. So I think we'll that's odd. I take it out of sport plus mode and back to eco and drive around the complex again and it goes away. Remind you I have 484 miles on the car.

Friday night on the way home from the dealer (1 1/2 hour) he hit a 220-250lb 6-point buck/deer on the back road sometime after midnight, not even 3-4 miles from home. He is wondering whether or not insurance will total car. From the looks of it i'm hoping so too and all airbags have been deployed except front right passenger side. I would hate to take a brand new leased vehicle that never even made it home after repair.
View 14 RepliesI just got a used GS350. At about 20-25mph, it can sometime hesitate/jerk when I am driving without much acceleration. If I press the accelerator hard, the car accelerates without much problem.
I tried searching through the forum but couldn't find same problem except maybe the LS460 [URL] ....
I have tried cleaning the MAF with CRC cleaner + resetting the ECU by unplugging the battery for 10minutes but I still have the problem. Strangely, I didn't have to recalibrate the windows after plugging out the battery, but the GPS did the long initial boot-up..
I've had my 2013 GS350 for less than a week , but one thing I've noticed (compared to Acura) is that when I first start the car, the idle seems very high. This lasts for 5-10 mins, then seems to come down and becomes much quieter. Is that by design to get the engine warmed up sooner? It seems overall the idle is a bit higher and louder than I'm used to.

View 4 RepliesGS 350 AWD. I use the plastic pipe attached to a tube for draining. Worked fine the first few oil changes, but now it won't drain. The only way I can get it to drain is to leave the pipe attached and very, very briefly start the car and then turn it off. Then the oil pours out as it should. This happened the last time as well. I'm now at about 40,000 miles.

I tried to pop them off with my fingers but it wouldn't budge...my finger nails bent halfway back though.
My brother just bought a 2014 Avalon and he is selling it to me for next to nothing. I am planning to use them for my 2014 Lexus GS 350 RWD Luxury package as a winter tire setup. Will these wheels fit?
View 14 RepliesIt's now been just about 2 weeks with the new car! but I've noticed a few little things that I'll take it in for before the warranty runs out...one of them is a noticeable dull clunk in the right rear...it also hear it when i go over small the medium sized bumps on the left side...sway bar link? over big bumps i don't seem to hear it...

Quick condition, is there a way to permanently display the digital clock somewhere on the nav screen or is the analog clock the only option? Not a big deal, but prefer digital clocks.
My wife has a 2013 GS350.....when she backs out of the driveway, turning at a slight angle...there is a loud pop that sounds like it is coming from the rear. The noise does not repeat during normal driving or going over bumps...just when backing out at an angle to the left. Dealer could not repeat the noise. Almost sounds like the strut brace/bar is loose or something along those lines.
View 3 RepliesI just purchased a new 2016 GS350. Traded up from a 2013 ES Ultra, which I loved. Love this car even more, from a sportiness perspective. Question to other GS owners. I've noticed a rough noise, or rough idle, when starting the car first thing in the morning, or after it has sat for some length of time. My 2008 ES sounded like that, as does my 2010 RX. My 2013 ES never sounded that way and my service advisor said they changed something in the engine or transmission in the ES. My 2013 purred when it started and never stopped. It was silky smooth.
The new GS just sounds rough for about a minute or so and then smoothes out. Of course, I asked about it and was told everything was normal, which is the standard Lexus comment. Said it sounds that way until something or other warms up or something like that. Im still trying to get used to the different drive and acceleration patterns of the GS vs the ES. Overall I love it. It's just a richer vehicle all the way around. Just curious about the idle. Is it normal?
Hard to fix? Only happens when going under 5 mph either in slow traffic or slowing down to park in parking spot or just stopping the car. Doesn't happen at high speeds. It's like I'm driving on snow or ice or wet pavement but there is dry pavement. Brake pads and rotors were cleaned with no success. Guessing that a sensor is dirty or broken or such.

The cruise light will come on, but when I try to set it...nothing. The speed just drops off.
