I recently lowered my wife's gs350 f sport and was wondering how to adjust the headlight beam? I followed the adjustment screws from the owner's manual and they tried to raise them, but they don't move. I know the headlights are adaptive so the move up and down with a motor so not sure if that is why they don't move with the adjustment screws.

I have couples questions.....
1. What kinda light build does BMW n Mecerdes use? I noticed the color is much brighter and white/purples. (I like bright light. My wife 2nd Gen GS had 6K HID for both Low/High beam.)
2. Where I can get the foglamp install professionally? OEM parts and all.
I changed my brake pads and its squeaking at low speed when i am stopping.
I would like to know what do i need to grease when changing the brakes also do i need to grease the brake pads shims?
I just picked up my gs 350 fsport. having fun.. noticed that when i plug in my ipad to the usb port it recognizes it as an ipod. but.. here is the question.. it will play sound of music files no problem and but on the videos it only plays sound and give a message that device not video or something similar to that. Does that mean that some devices can be input through the usb to play video?
View 14 RepliesWhat I'm normally accustomed to is that whatever side your mirror adjustment is set to will tilt down when you put the car in reverse. The other side normally stays as is. I believe my mom's LX570 might actually tilt both down.
I picked up my GS350 F-Sport today and I can't figure out the side mirrors. The salesperson told me that it doesn't tilt any more because the car has a rear view camera - but that doesn't make much sense as the purpose of the tilting is not to see what's behind you, but to watch the curb.
Right now, when I put the car in reverse, the LEFT mirror tilts (but it actually seems to turn away and go down). This happens regardless of which side the adjustment is set to. Normally, you'd want the right side to tilt as that's the side you parallel park on.
I couldn't find anything in the configuration settings at all.
I'm lowered about 1 inch in the front and when I drive at night its tough to see about 15-20 feet past my car. Its very bright in that range but past 20 feet it is very dark if there are no street lights. Any manual way to adjust the headlights?
View 6 RepliesIn December, 2013 I got two new bulbs - according to the invoice they were Xenon D4S. Around July, 2014 the driver side headlight would stay on for 20-30 seconds or so and then go out. I took it to the shop that installed the lights and they said they replaced the headlight and gave me back the car. I noticed that night that the problem wasn't fixed.
I took it back to them and they said it must be the ballast. At this point, I don't trust them, because they didn't stand to gain anything from replacing the bulb as parts and service were under warranty, so I'm not convinced they actually did anything (especially given that they didn't even test it before giving me the car back).
About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that the same thing is happening on the passenger side, and they both go off at the same time. I find it hard to believe that both ballasts would go out and the timing would be identical. The problem is, now, I cannot test it by switching the bulbs from right to left because they both do the same thing. According to Xenon Depot there are a lot of Phillips counterfeits - does that apply to Xenon bulbs as well?
Should I buy new headlights and try to install them? I'm looking at Xenon Depot [URL] .... and it looks like the D4S Xenon bulbs, but there are other bulbs. I don't know which ones to buy. Is it likely that the problem is electrical because they both go out at the same time?
Just recently lowered my 3is and noticed a significant lost in low beam range. How to adjust the low beams or is everyone else just driving with 5 feet of vision at night ???

Noticed this am my right headlight is out. However, when I put on the brights it works.
It appears the piece that covers the bulb is missing.
I just waited 5 months for my ES300H Ultra Luxury with Mark Levinson. I am coming from an HS250 with a technology package that actually blows away this car.
My biggest gripe - When you have navigation set, and then you use the phone, the NAVIGATION PROMPTS still come on over your phone call. So the person on the other side of the phone is hearing all of your navigation prompts. In the HS250 prompts completely went silent, and you looked at the map while talking on the phone. (Which is the correct way.) As a Realtor, I am constantly talking to clients and using driving directions and this is totally unprofessional. People on the other line think I am talking to them and say what? I cannot believe that when a phone call comes in while I am driving, I have to go into settings, go into voice, and then lower the volume (no volume control for prompts on the steering wheel.) All while driving, and talking on the phone. TOTALLY DANGEROUS.
In addition, when using radio, in the HS250 when a prompt came on, it temporary lowered volume during the prompt so you could hear it. Not on the ES300H. You cannot hear the prompts over the radio.
Not to mention you cannot even voice delete a destination and you lose tons of commands on the new navigation system. Navigation is sending me on crazy routes. The phone sounds like it is in a tin can compared to the HS250. I don't know how I ended up spending big bucks more for a car that actually went backwards in technology.
I have searched high and low, and I cannot find how to replace the factory low beam projector style headlight bulb on my wife's 2013 Tiguan SEL. It came with the factory LED style HID lights. There were a ton of videos and how to's for the regular Tiguan headlight replacement, and for aftermarket Ebay LED ones, but I can find anything about how to replace the factory low beam projector bulb, other than "take it to a dealer". My thinking is 'if the dealer can do it, so can I'! There has got to be a way. I can't get the wire bulb retainer loose, or get the bulb out of the headlight housing.

View 1 RepliesFriend of mine (whom I referred to Lexus) just bought. 15' GS on Friday. Friday night on the way home from the dealer (1 1/2 hour) he hit a 220-250lb 6-point buck/deer on the back road sometime after midnight, not even 3-4 miles from home. He is wondering whether or not insurance will total car. From the looks of it i'm hoping so too and all airbags have been deployed except front right passenger side. I would hate to take a brand new leased vehicle that never even made it home after repair.
View 14 RepliesMy driver side lower beam (projector) will go out after a couple minutes when its turned on. If I flip the switch to off and then on, it turns back on again. Is this a sign of it going out? I am assuming i have the HID version.
View 9 RepliesMy friend with a 2007 SC430 is having a recurring problem with his passenger's side headlight. The HID low beam keeps periodically going out, then will start working again. When it isn't lighting up, it's doesn't work on either the low beam or the high beam settings, while the driver's side lamp is working fine (driver's side low beam lamp is on with high beam lamp when high beams are engaged, and driver's side lowbeam lamp on as normal with low beam engaged).
He has replaced the passenger's side bulb with a Lexus OEM purchased from a dealer back in November which seemed to fix things for a while but now the problem is back again.
What the cause(s) could be and how to troubleshoot? He previously owned a 2002 SC430 for 6 years and never once had any headlight issues or even had to replace any bulbs, and the 07 is giving him this grief now after barely 3 years of owning it.
I drive a 96 Subaru Legacy. What does it mean when one of the high beams is dimmer (less light output) than the low beam? I am using a brand-new bulb. It's not an adjustment issue because I was looking at the bulb when it was outside of the housing and it clearly gets dimmer when you switch to brights. However, they are equally bright when on low-beam, so I don't think its just a crossed wire.
View 2 RepliesI've had my 2013 GS350 for less than a week , but one thing I've noticed (compared to Acura) is that when I first start the car, the idle seems very high. This lasts for 5-10 mins, then seems to come down and becomes much quieter. Is that by design to get the engine warmed up sooner? It seems overall the idle is a bit higher and louder than I'm used to.
View 7 RepliesLately I noticed that my headlight beams are crossed between passenger and driver side....
When I start up the car, the headlights move down and up for the initializing... all seems fine... While I backing my car out of the garage, I notice that my light beam start to drift closer to each other as I back out further and then finally crossed... the beam from my passenger headlight ended up on the driver side.... and the beam from my driver headlight ended up on the passenger side.
My AFS lamps are working and initializing when the car turn on.
Just bought a 2013 GS 350 FSport. Noticed the cooling fan runs kinda loud. Seems to run a little louder than prior cars. Had the car inspected at a Lexus dealer before purchase. They didn't say anything about it.
View 4 RepliesGS 350 AWD. I use the plastic pipe attached to a tube for draining. Worked fine the first few oil changes, but now it won't drain. The only way I can get it to drain is to leave the pipe attached and very, very briefly start the car and then turn it off. Then the oil pours out as it should. This happened the last time as well. I'm now at about 40,000 miles.

I tried to pop them off with my fingers but it wouldn't budge...my finger nails bent halfway back though.
