Any picture for how to bring the wire though the firewall on the passenger side of the car?

View 3 RepliesI need to wire the power lead to my amp in the boot, but can not find a hole in the firewall. Saw the quide for 2008 Passat, but the hole under the battery in drivers engine bay does not exit in my Passat.
View 10 Replies99 f150 4.6 4x4 ... auto.. so, driving on the interstate I had to accelerate hard to avoid hitting a crazy driver... after that I smell antifreeze... get home can't find a leak.. wait a bit and I see antifreeze leaking passengers side coming down the firewall outside... if you are laying behind the passengers front tire with your feet to the back tire.. looking up you see the catalytic converter.. behind that on the firewall a stream of antifreeze... follow the stream up and there is a piece of plastic just about were the firewall starts to go straight up from the floorboard bend.. putting my hands in that it goes inside..and its wet inside..
I can't tell what that's for really but. Am I guessing evap coils access? any rate. I don't feel any dampness inside yet.. but I do smell it in the cab stronger now. I haven't ripped up the carpet either. Im suspecting my heater core sprung a leak?? there is a good amount of fluid coming out and down the firewall outside I would say I have about a 6-foot puddle now. course I parked on a hill too. no fluid that I can tell is at all leaking off the heater core hoses.. they felt dry. Im guessing there is a drain port in that black box inside and that is where this is coming out?? no noticeable leak from the motor side.. it's all dry.. its actually going down the firewall and hitting a metal plate that carries out to a cross member on the transmission and then leaking down.. motor area is dry.
Just noticed today that the car is chewing the inner side of the passenger tire. The remaining 3 corners do not have this problem. The car is lowered.
I think I have maybe -1.2 camber in front, not more than that. I don't know if its the toe that needs to be adjusted or something else is causing this? Just seems weird that only 1 tire is having the problem.....
I have read a few threads about wet floors but I still don't know the answer.
I can see the water dripping down the passenger side floor, from the area of the firewall. It is filling the channel in the floor, under the door sill.
The truck sits in my driveway, with the nose downhill. May be windshield, or AC/Heater drain tube could be plugged. Does the '99 F250 have a drain tube from the AC?
Backing out of garage this morning I brushed against the side and smashed a piece of plastic out of passenger side view mirror. Sent a picture to parts department of local Lexus dealer and quoted 304.80 for "special order" part + 300 for labor. This is an insane price for a non-functioning piece of plastic. Thoughts on best DIY way to proceed? I have the broken off plastic, but it does not sit flush in the assembly.
View 10 RepliesI did a search but I keep coming up with hidden options. I'm not looking for those... On the main screen there are options at the bottom of the screen. How to access them?
View 6 RepliesPassenger side mirror is not rotating while car is in reverse no matter what position I have the mirror selection control. Am I missing something in a set up option? Seems like it did a week ago?
View 5 RepliesToday I visited my Dealer to check out the wind noise that we are hearing - driver and passenger. They did agree after a road test that there is a wind noise. They also took out another GS 350 and noticed the same. They called CA to check if others reported this problem and the answer was no. The Service Consultant indicated this will be entered to review in more detail. While waiting, I looked at cars in the showroom. The triangle filler at the front of the windows on the GS 460 and ES models had a horizontal ridge molded in this filler piece. Not sure for the reason - wind noise reduction?
Also, wanted the oil changed at 3K miles and the Consultant indicated it was not necessary. Stated that oil change is not needed until 10K miles due to now using synthetic oil. I do not agree with this. Will have oil changed in the next week to remove any fines that may be in the oil of the new engine.
Requested changes to the number of lane change turn signal blinks and lowering windows when depressing FOB unlock. The latter was no problem due to using a laptop interface. However, the signal change is using a combination of turn signal and wiper levers. I have a copy of the instructions and never have seen anything so complex. I don't understand why these changes cannot be make by the owner similar to some of the other features.
Page 575 of the manual that came with my 2016 GS shows that the owner can disable the smart access system, but I cannot find the setting. It ought to be with the page of locking settings but I do not see it there.
View 3 RepliesI put new mats in the car yesterday and noticed a little black access panel on the floor of the front passenger seat. What it is for?
View 4 RepliesHow is the wind noise in your cars? Noticed once I hit about 35 mph that there is a good amount of wind noise coming through the passenger side.
View 14 RepliesI picked up my GS350 this past saturday.
I took a 64 mile round trip drive yesterday with the audio between 16-22 volume and there's definite rattling coming from the right passenger side door.
This was through the Satellite Radio Feed. It wasn't all the songs but any songs with the extended drawn out bass you can here it rattle.
I'm about 115 miles in and will most likely take it in this week. There's nothing in the side door compartment...
How to access the reset switch. Both the quick guide and the owner's manual show clearly where it is ... but I can't find it. I've looked under the dash in that area, flashlight and all, zip, nothing.
View 4 RepliesI swiped off my passenger side on a railing turning right coming out a tiny street. My 15'ES300H is barely few months old and only has 3K miles. Its a pretty decent size swipe on both doors with a little dent in. I checked with all body shops in town and they all say they go with the paint code 1H9 (nebula grey). The one shop I have working on it is trying hard to match it and its close but no matter what how they try to mix, its not a perfect match. I read that Lexus does two base coats one with larger aluminum flakes for sun light and one base coat with smaller aluminum flakes for low light. I am not sure if they just give a single paint code how a body shop cna figure out the two compositions. The guy showed me and there is only one composition and no alternates for this 1H9 code. Being a new car, I thought it would match perfectly but obviously not. This is a little crazy that Lexus has a painting technique that no one can match. So if you have minor scuff etc on your Lexus, you can't match it with rest of the car.
View 10 Replies'15 GS350 F-Sport. Had it for a month. There's a noticeable clicking noise coming from the front brakes as I apply the brake.
View 8 RepliesI bought the 2013 GS 350 F-sport thinking it would be a long lasting reliable car.... I've had brake squeal since day one. My car now has 45k miles on it, all miles driven with the insanely loud brake squeal. It's been to the dealership many times but they've change the brake pads only once and refused to resurface or swap the rotors. After I called Lexus corporate and filled a case, I finally got the managers attention. (1800-25lexus for those in need)
The manager tells me that the brake squeal can be caused by the drivers driving pattern. He basically said that if you don't drive hard enough or maybe even drive too hard, the rotors will glaze over and you will get squeal. -so let me get this right, I have to drive a certain way all the time so I don't get brake squeal? - Long story short, he asked me to come in again so he can see the squeal himself.
Aside from the brake squeal..
-My front and rear passenger side shocks blew out and were replaced at 20k miles.
-I've had a rattle in my passenger side dash since 10k miles that the dealer refuses to fix. They say trying to fix it will cause more rattle.
-My back up camera is now pointing too low. Every time I go in for a fix it just ends up happening again after the fix.
-My rear view mirror is loose.
I can deal with the small things but that damn brake squeal is so loud that it actually pierces my ears when I brake next to a car with my windows down.. Brake squeal has now started on my sisters 2014 is350 f-sport as well. How I can fix the brake squeal so I can sell the car?
My 2015 Gs 350 F sport started making grinding noise from the front passanger side wheel. The noise comes from driving and not braking so im assuming its not the brake pads and its not squeaking noises as a worn out brake will sound.
View 14 Replieshow to access the bulbs for the rear side marker lights?
View 14 RepliesDriver's Side does not open when touching handles. Passenger and hatch open and lock with no issue. Checked vehicle custom and correct setting is selected. It just stopped working.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2000 Saturn SL1 standard. It's been great with very little need for repairs beyond routine maintenance. In the last two weeks it has started an odd squealing that I can't pin point.
While driving along all of a sudden a squealing sound will emanate from what seems like the driver's side firewall area. Acceleration or braking does not seem to change it, nor does adjusting the speed of the hot air blower up or down.
It doesn't sound like a wheel scraping or anything like that. The best way I can describe it is it sounds like what happens if a speed-o-meter cable needs lubricated (but of course there is none of this vehicle).
