I heard that 13,14 had this issue my 15 GS is having this issue as well. Clicking noise is coming from front wheels It's like few clicks in a row when turning the wheel left / right.
Is there a DYI fix. Don't want to take to dealer they might duplicate the problem. It's not such an issue but when window is down I hear it kind of makes me wonder why a $60k car is making those noises.

View 8 RepliesThe last issue I have to tackle with the GS450h is a knocking sound coming from what seems the front wheels and mostly the right wheel. This is when driving over a ditch or uneven road like a cobblestone road.
This issue was present before the RSR down sus springs were installed (i.e. in factory setup) but has since gotten more obvious, probably due to the more rigid suspension. Initially I thought it may have been the brake pads, however when braking harder (beyond regenerative braking system) it remains present. So I think the brakes can be ruled out.
The suspension and wheel setup have been checked by the Lexus dealer three times now and by a suspension specialist. None of them could find a thing wrong with it. What it may be?
I have an 97 Altima. When I hit on the brakes, it seems to be okay, but once I let the pedal go, there are clicking noise coming for the front wheels.
View 9 RepliesI have a problem with the steering. Sometimes a clicking noise is coming out from the front left side when I sharply turn the wheels or hit the brake. The car was in a local garage today and they couldn't find the problem. 2 mechanics checked the suspension, cv joint, axle, wheel bearing... also 1 of them driven the car and found nothing. Tomorrow I show them the clip below.

What it could be?
I have had a CPO 2013 GS350 with Luxury package for about 5 months now. I have noticed that when I get into my car after it being parked for a while, back up out of my parking space while turning all the way to the left or the right, the front wheels seem to be "skipping" or not rotating completely freely and smoothly.. its very hard to describe.
But I also notice this issue when I am turning in a circle, I can hear my front wheels making "skid" sounds every few seconds and I can feel some sort of pulse or shaking in the car as if something is hindering the wheels from turning freely.. literally, when I am turning and this is happening, it almost feels like the front wheels are going to fall apart or something is going to break.However, when I took it to the Lexus dealer, they apparently don't seem to be able to replicate the issue or find anything wrong..
I have to set up a time where I take a drive with the mechanic, but does anyone have any similar issues or know of any issues that sound remotely close to what I am experiencing?
When I am in the car and the windows down rolling slowly next to a building or something that echos I can hear a clicking that I think is coming from the rear. My salesman is calling me in to test drive a RCF so when I do that I'll have them look at it.
View 8 RepliesI have a clicking/banging noise when I hit the brake while I am backing up. It only does it when the brakes are cool. I tried bringing it in to the dealership, with the service tech with me, no matter what I do drive forward and back hitting the brakes hard it won't do it. But as soon as the brake cools off and try backup from a drive way you can hear it and its annoying as hell. I thought it was ball joint went bad but they assure me it wasn't the ball joint.
The service tech said the brake pad expands when it heats up. Okay fine, but how come only my front left does it. I was thinking some spacer or clips fell off...
The water pump was the culprit for the noise. So my 2013 gs350 with just over 40k miles started making a clicking and squealing noise during start up and while driving. I took a video of the noise when started cold without the a/c on.
I've already taken it in to the dealer for service but out of curiously, what the problem may be? I'll provide an update after the the dealer completes service.

My 2014 ES350 is making a constant clicking noise from under the dash. Sounds like relay going on and off. When I shut off the air handling system the clicking completely goes away. Car is the Ultra Premium package and has about 13k miles on it.
Also, not sure if related but recently while the car was not running I noticed the car whining from rear wheel area the other night, I went back in the house and got my keys. Tried unlocking and re-locking but finally had to start the car and shut it off again the get the noise to stop. The car had been off for at least an hour or more but it sounded like fuel pump was running all by itself or some other system. I've owned 25 cars and never had that happen before. Otherwise I love this car!
I have a 2015 GS350 F Sport (RWD). A clicking noise occurs during braking and acceleration, but only sporadically. It seems to occur more often during heavy breaking and/or acceleration. The sound seems to be coming from the driver's side A-pillar or the driver's side dash at any rate. Sometimes the sound is a single click and sometimes it clicks up to 3 times.

View 12 RepliesSo I'm new to the all time awd car thing. I came from a 4x4 truck which 4x4 was never engaged on pavement or in tight cornering. When maneuvering my is250 awd in tight spots ie. parking lots and the front wheels are at full lock in either forward or reverse there is a slight binding/grinding feeling or faint noise. Is this normal on an awd car or Lexus specific??? Did a quick search and didn't find much about this issue. I'm pretty sure its not tire rub.....stock set up.
View 10 RepliesI think that one of them is coming from the passenger door. It is more of a clicking sound kind of, than a rattle. Maybe as if the door panel isn't tightly attached so it moves back and forth a little and clicks.
The other rattle is from the cupholder area.
I took this car to my dealer and they fixed another rattle from the passenger door (claimed it was a screw in the speaker that had fallen out?), but it was replaced by this new clicking rattle. They also claimed they did something to the cupholder to fix it, but it didn't work.
My question is, how the door panels are attached to the car? I was thinking that if it is attached by a few screws I will try tightening those up myself before I go back to the dealer. It would be great if it was just attached too loosely and I could fix it myself.
I have been driving 2013 model for five months. I noticed that whenever any front wheel rolls over cat-eye on the road and any sudden small bump then it generates noticeable clicking sound. I went to the dealer and they said it is normal and comes with all such cars.
View 19 RepliesI get a creaking/clicking noise coming from my front wheels when braking at slow speed. can be rhythmic at times which makes be think it may be a ball joint or bearing.
Also it may be related or unrelated... Between 70-80km/h my front driver side wheel gives off a "Hum". I thought it may have been unbalanced wheels since it started when I put the summer rubber on, but the tire shop said they are balanced and thats not it. The Hum goes away when driving at any other speed.
Just last month I had my brakes done (a couple weeks prior to changing my rubber).
Front: New Rotors, Pads, Shims
Rear: Machined rotors, New Pads & Shims

I have had this intermittent clicking noise from the front left wheels. It sounds almost like a rock wedged in the tread but its not. I checked and the tire is clean. I inspected as much as I can see but see nothing abnormal. Any clue what the deal is?
I stared having the noise right after having the front left tire replaced and it seems to happen when the brakes are hot. I don't hear it in the morning or if I let the car cool down and drive it an hour or two later. My brakes are original rotors at 74K miles and the pads are probably in the 45K range . Not sure what the deal is but it drives me crazy when I can hear with the windows down ( I live in AZ its still in the 70s). I had an issue like this with my GS350 but cant remember what fixed it or what the issue was .
I have a 2013 Lariat 4x4 and was switching in and out of auto four wheel drive the other day. Now I have it in 2 wheel drive and there seems to be a funny vibration from the front wheels when I drive down the road.
View 14 RepliesI took my car to the dealer last week to repair a clicking noise coming from the juncture of the right front windshield and dash. They said they added felt to the speaker grill and fixed it. NOT SO, still makes the noise, it is better though seems to get better when the weather is warmer. How to get the speaker grill off without damaging it. If so I will try to address the thing myself.
