I have a 2015 GS350 F Sport (RWD). A clicking noise occurs during braking and acceleration, but only sporadically. It seems to occur more often during heavy breaking and/or acceleration. The sound seems to be coming from the driver's side A-pillar or the driver's side dash at any rate. Sometimes the sound is a single click and sometimes it clicks up to 3 times.

Having a very annoying rattle/creaking near the seat belt pillar on the driver's side? This occurs continously even on smooth highway roads. I will ask them to check it out at the 5k service.
Also, my steering wheel slightly "clicks" when turning the steering wheel 1 full turn to the right. It doesn't do it on the left side, and doesn't seem right. No turn signals or anything is on. Just seems flimsy with all these noises!
Have noticed a thumping noise when braking at a Low speed on my 2013 RX 350. Brought it to the attention of my Lexus service mgr at the 5000 mile service. He did a test ride and heard the same thumping sound. He then test drove another 2013 RX at the dealership which made the same noise.
View 14 RepliesWhen I am in the car and the windows down rolling slowly next to a building or something that echos I can hear a clicking that I think is coming from the rear. My salesman is calling me in to test drive a RCF so when I do that I'll have them look at it.
View 8 RepliesI heard that 13,14 had this issue my 15 GS is having this issue as well. Clicking noise is coming from front wheels It's like few clicks in a row when turning the wheel left / right.
Is there a DYI fix. Don't want to take to dealer they might duplicate the problem. It's not such an issue but when window is down I hear it kind of makes me wonder why a $60k car is making those noises.
I have a clicking/banging noise when I hit the brake while I am backing up. It only does it when the brakes are cool. I tried bringing it in to the dealership, with the service tech with me, no matter what I do drive forward and back hitting the brakes hard it won't do it. But as soon as the brake cools off and try backup from a drive way you can hear it and its annoying as hell. I thought it was ball joint went bad but they assure me it wasn't the ball joint.
The service tech said the brake pad expands when it heats up. Okay fine, but how come only my front left does it. I was thinking some spacer or clips fell off...
The water pump was the culprit for the noise. So my 2013 gs350 with just over 40k miles started making a clicking and squealing noise during start up and while driving. I took a video of the noise when started cold without the a/c on.
I've already taken it in to the dealer for service but out of curiously, what the problem may be? I'll provide an update after the the dealer completes service.

My 2014 ES350 is making a constant clicking noise from under the dash. Sounds like relay going on and off. When I shut off the air handling system the clicking completely goes away. Car is the Ultra Premium package and has about 13k miles on it.
Also, not sure if related but recently while the car was not running I noticed the car whining from rear wheel area the other night, I went back in the house and got my keys. Tried unlocking and re-locking but finally had to start the car and shut it off again the get the noise to stop. The car had been off for at least an hour or more but it sounded like fuel pump was running all by itself or some other system. I've owned 25 cars and never had that happen before. Otherwise I love this car!
I went to clean my wife's throttle body out with brake cleaner and I think I sprayed too much into the throttle body now the car won't start. It makes a small clicking/grinding noise when I try to start it. What have I done?
View 12 RepliesI think that one of them is coming from the passenger door. It is more of a clicking sound kind of, than a rattle. Maybe as if the door panel isn't tightly attached so it moves back and forth a little and clicks.
The other rattle is from the cupholder area.
I took this car to my dealer and they fixed another rattle from the passenger door (claimed it was a screw in the speaker that had fallen out?), but it was replaced by this new clicking rattle. They also claimed they did something to the cupholder to fix it, but it didn't work.
My question is, how the door panels are attached to the car? I was thinking that if it is attached by a few screws I will try tightening those up myself before I go back to the dealer. It would be great if it was just attached too loosely and I could fix it myself.
And, mods, this probably should be a separate thread since it's prpobably not related to the other issues.
I suddenly noticed some wind noise at the driver's side B-pillar the other day, almost like my window wasn't closed tight. But it was. So later on, I checked the outside of the window and found that the little external rubber seal on the rear vertical portion of the door frame was kinked and not laying flat. This is where the window moves up and down in its channel on the trailing edge.
I managed to press the seal back in place and it solved the problem ... but the next time I rolled my window down and back up, it kinked again.
My car is now at the dealer awaiting a new seal. For some reason, it decided to start scrunching up the seal when the window is raised, and the seal has to be replaced.
So if you hear wind noise over your left shoulder (or your passenger over his/her right shoulder) check that the little narrow black rubber seal is where it should be ... laying flat.
My Phaeton has recently developed a single clunking sound that occurs at low speed, either when braking, or when turning the steering wheel towards the right about 90. The clunk can be felt at the drivers footwell area too.
All four upper control arm bushings were replaced a few months ago and the antiroll bar links are pretty new too.
I have not identified exactly where the noise is coming from, but by placing my hand on all suspension components it seems that the clunk is most felt at the front left rear lower arm. Hence I am wondering if the bushing or the whole arm may need replacement.
Ly 2007 LS 460 just started have a wind noise around the drivers side door pillar. Is it time to change the rubber molding around the door. If so, where would I start to buy one?
View 3 RepliesThis morning I went thru a known rough patch on the road and was applying light pressure on the brakes as usual (EV doing about 20 mph). Once the wheels started bumping, a loss of deceleration occurred as expected but what I did not expect was a fairly fast clicking sound (about 30Hz). I *believe* it sounded like the click that is heard when the traction battery is engaged in READY mode, but I'm not completely sure. Where it came from since I was using the A/C and rag chewing on the ham radio. The clicking subsided once I lifted the foot from the brake pedal and reapplied the brakes. No indicator lights came on and the car continued behaving normally.

As I was driving home (back roads and interstate), I heard a clicking noise every time I hit the brakes. I do not hear this noise when I back up and brake, only when the car is in drive and I am braking.

View 6 RepliesWhen decelerating and braking, there is a strange clicking noise, and it seems to be coming from the brakes in some way on my 2002 Accent. It does sound like a metal clicking. Steering doesn't affect it, it happens on a corner or on the motorway. The only way to stop it is accelerate. The clicking is faster when the car is going faster, and slower when the car is going slower. The brake pedal isn't vibrating or anything, and I cant actually feel it.
I am certain this is a braking issue as it only started just after I got new brake pads about 2 months ago. It is not transmission related or anything like that. I have had some suggestions about axle's and CV joints but I doubt it's either of those as they are in good condition, and as I said, this started directly after having new brake pads installed!
So I've my Prius C2 for about 4 months now. Sometimes, when I want to get into my back hatch and I know the doors are unlocked, I cannot get it open, like I have to really yank it open to make it work. Something like suction cupping together...

It only happens during a right while braking and not while stopping straight or left. I only have 27K miles on it. I'm not due for an oil change for a couple thousand miles and was going to wait until then to mention it to the dealer.
View 18 RepliesHere's the short of it. 3rd time in a year the brakes on my 2005 SF (177K miles, 2.7L) have gone out.
The brake pedal is very soft and goes to the floor before braking occurs. Typical signs of a bad master cylinder.
The first time was a year ago. I bought a re-manufactured master cylinder, change it and bled the brakes. Worked like a champ and lasted 10 months.
To months ago same exact symptoms. I assume it was a bad re-man part. It's under warranty, not big deal. I do warranty exchange, bleed system, brakes return. All is good.
Less then 3 weeks later, brakes gone, same symptoms! This time I spend the difference and get a brand new OEM cylinder with reservoir. Replace, bleed, problem fixed. Brakes go out in less than a week.
I'm not leaking anywhere. Reservoir is to corect level. ABS light is NOT on. No chattering in brakes. Braking is smooth both when power brakes work and when not. No visible damage to calipers. I'm 99% sure there is no air in the system, but I'm going to try bleeding again. I have not put it up on a lift to yet to check all the lines.
