View 2 RepliesI just noticed my 13 FX4 isn't draining water, but I checked inside and the carpets feel dry. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but the wifes Jeep always has a huge puddle under it. I'm sure the drain is somewhere under all that silver sound deadener. Is this common?

First off, the car has been sitting in our garage for 5 days, yesterday I noticed a small puddle of liquid under my car, but couldn't tell what it was because the floor is dark so I put some white cardboard under it and checked it again today, there was a small puddle of clear liquid with no smell. I jacked the car up to see what was above the puddle and found this drain tube.
Is that the condenser drain tube? I did run the car for about 10 minutes yesterday to check transmission fluid levels but all climate controls were off.
2ndly, a few days ago I ran a wire to the battery to power my new trailer wiring harness, while under the dash running the wire through the firewall I saw this component under the dash about where the driver's right knee would be while driving.
I am getting water on the passenger-side floor. I would like to clean the AC drain tube but am not sure how to access it.
View 7 RepliesI have an 09 f350 lariat with the factory 6 disc, sync system. Problem is the sunroof drain tube on the right front kinked and allowed water to overflow the drip tray on the sunroof and down the "A" pillar. The water then dripped onto the inertia fuel pump switch and then onto the sync module. I disassembled the module to dry and coat the circuit board with dielectric spray but one of the transistors is corroded and therefore the module is rendered useless. I have contacted the ford dealer for replacement module but no luck, even with the original part number on the sync module, or as ford calls it " Accessory Protocol Interface Module" My question is: can I get a module from another vehicle.
View 1 RepliesFor the past couple of days i've had condensation on the windshields during cold mornings and nights and thought something was up. I looked around and found the carpet on the driver's side of my car is damp and there was a puddle of water directly underneath the seat. I've read it might be a clogged AC drain or something like that. Some solutions seem to be either blowing the AC drain underneath the car with compressed air to get rid of a clog, or finding the tube inside the car and properly reconnecting it incase it got dislodged or kinked somehow. Or does this sound like a different problem? Again only the driver's side carpet seems to be wet.
View 1 RepliesAfter my last car wash this happened and it's been like this a few days now, how to get rid of it. I can't really afford to drop $1000 on a new headlight. I've heard of the baking method but not sure I would trust myself to do that. Any tricks?
View 10 RepliesI noticed one of my tail lights has water inside, so there is some leak. I first noticed it after a touchless car wash.
How do I remove the tail light assembly so I can inspect it and dry out the water?
What's the best way to seal the hole (if there is one) causing the leak?
One thing you hate to hear when you go to a mechanic's is "that's a common problem" and "there's no permanent fix for it." Since we moved to a shady street, my car is leaking dirty water on the inside passenger side from under the dash, especially when I make a left turn. It really can start to smell bad and I now keep a bucket under the dash and have to leave the window cracked despite the daily rain in Tampa. Twice I have had the lines blown out, but I was told the problem would come back and to really clean it out and that the problem would come back anyway after that. According to my mechanic, the problem stems from the leaves getting inside the engine and clogging up some line. And to everyone else, don't buy a Mitsubishi Outlander.
View 2 RepliesThis morning while driving with a/c on, water was coming out on the side of the center console. It's leaking a lot, that a spot is soaking wet.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2005 Prius and there is water coming into the drivers side floor. We believe this may have been going on for awhile and didn't realize it. My son drove the car and there was a "smell" that started about a year ago and I thought he spilled something inside the car.
View 7 RepliesApparently, VW assumes that if you have a sunroof, you must be willing to tolerate rainwater dripping on your front seats and running inside the headliner. I can accept almost anything, but this is beyond belief.
I have seen a mention or two of water on the floor (and I didn't even check for that), maybe a leaking sunroof before, but I never thought it would happen to me.
Doing the oil change today and I'd like to know where the oil drain plug is. I have the skid plate off but I'm not 100% sure on the plug location.
View 1 RepliesThe floor on both the driver side and passenger side has been getting wet. I stuck a small pipe cleaner and didn't find anything. Then I shot some compressed air up there and some water came out. I let the ac for 20 minutes and more water drained out from the drain tube but my carpet was wet again. Is there any way to access the other end of the tube?
Also do I need to take off the cowlings to get under the carpet?
2004 Jetta 1.8T
Looking for the drain plug and I can't find it for the life of me..
There is a hex bolt on a black plate that is seemingly the lowest part of the whole front-underneath, but this isn't the oil, is it? It does have a washer, that hex bolt.
It's in front of the axle, right?
Which direction does it face?

View 2 RepliesI have a 2006 Sonata and has trouble with the windshield seal or if it is usually just sunroof issues.
View 3 RepliesI recently bought a 2013 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) . The car has been in a front end accident but it has been fixed. When buying the car, i did not notice that the coolant in it was green.
I know that prii of this year run on Toyota pink, and I have also read that mixing coolant can lead to sludging and clog your system. So now I am trying to do a total flush and refill. I already have the pink coolant and I was able to drain about 5 qt (7.3 qt total capacity) from the radiator cock. I know about the existence of an engine block cock which would allow me to drain the rest of the coolant. But no matter how much I look I can not locate it.
I have read the repair manual, I know that is is supposed to be in the back of the engine half way up the block or so. But I just cant find it. I can't fill my car until I can do a proper flush.
Just bought a 2009 RX 350 in Bamboo Green.
I have an 09 2nd Gen RX with water in the fog light housing, the bulb has blown as well so there's shattered glass inside.
I was looking under the truck and found what appears to be a vertical black metal drain tube right next to the passenger side oxygen sensor (bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor).
I'm curious to know what this tube is for. My guesses are rain runoff / drainage for the windshield cowl, or maybe A/C condensate. Can't think of anything else it could be.
2007 Es350 with 60k. Boot is not cracked or split and does not have any holes. It appears to be leaking where the big band is next to the tx.
