After my last car wash this happened and it's been like this a few days now, how to get rid of it. I can't really afford to drop $1000 on a new headlight. I've heard of the baking method but not sure I would trust myself to do that. Any tricks?

How do I remove the tail light assembly so I can inspect it and dry out the water?
What's the best way to seal the hole (if there is one) causing the leak?
I am using Lexus GS-300 2006, I have problem with Aircon have leaking water inside both Driver and Passenger. And I cannot find where is the Drain Tube.

View 6 RepliesThere's 2 small drips of dried water (and maybe soap) inside the upper half of my headlight on the glass. I first noticed this after I washed my car very thoroughly this weekend (I was spraying water on it for a long time). I suspect water/soap might have seeped through during the wash.
I know this is not supposed to happen, but is it a legitimate cause of concern? I'm thinking of letting this fly by, I can live with it, but perhaps not if it keeps happening every time I wash my car. Is it safe to wait on a trip to the dealership, or should I get it checked out right away?
BTW, I'm @ 30k miles
So I washed the car. All four stems had caps on them. I decide to check the pressure, a few hours after the wash. Took the stem caps off, and they all looked dry inside. The inside of the valve stems did not look wet at all. Pressed my tire gauge onto the stem out came water. From all four of them.
View 7 RepliesBoth of the headlights on my 2007 Accent 3-door have blistering of the chrome plastic inside the headlight. This started a year or so ago, I asked about it at the dealership, but I never got a call. At the time my life was pretty hectic and the dealership is about a 45 minute drive from my house. I asked about it at least one other time when I was there for service, someone was going to check on it, and again I heard nothing more.

View 3 RepliesMy 2001 Outback's tail lights leak water (in) whenever it rains or the car is washed. I've already replaced both bulb sockets due to corrosion, even though I take the bulbs out and let the fixture dry out before plugging them back in. (I overlook the fact that some of my tail lights don't work in the meantime.) Two questions: 1. is there anything that can be done about this to prevent the leak? and 2. is is true that new tail lights, and even new Subarus, have the same problem?

I have an 09 2nd Gen RX with water in the fog light housing, the bulb has blown as well so there's shattered glass inside.
My father recently bought a used 2014 IS250. After washing the vehicle there was a significant amount of condensation (water) in the passenger side headlight. After visiting the dealership for window tints the dealership denied to fix it warranty due to the fact that it was involved in a accident with the previous owner which is completely understandable. I recently bought a replacement new oem headlight to replace it. Would it be too difficult to install myself, is it just plug and play?

I've had two other cars with moonroofs, a 1988 and 2001 Volvo, and neither of them leaked a drop ever - even in this same car wash. I could even understand a few drips, but the entire back edge had water droplets.

View 9 Replies2006 GS 430 with 97,000 miles on the ticker. Still under CPO warranty for another 3000 miles. Tonight when I got home from work I noticed that my driver side headlight was out. When I came back out later tonight, it is now back on. Is this typical for a bulb that's about to go out? The reason I'm concerned is because if it's just a worn out bulb, then it's not covered under CPO and I'll replace it. If it's something electrical though, that would be covered under CPO if the dealership can identify the problem. I didn't get any kind of warning on the dash. Is there not an indicator on the dash when a headlight bulb goes out?
View 14 RepliesGuys, i have a 2006 GS430 with around 119k miles...Last night when i started the car and turned on the Fan, Strong Gas smell started to seep in through the Vents, At first i didn't really think much off the smell...Drove home (about 2 miles) and then Opened the hood while car still running.
There is this black round piece that sits on the Fuel pressure line (Or atleast that's what it seems) it's completely soaked in GAS (Petrol), i need to know what this part is called.
Is it Fuel Pressure regulator? if it's fuel pressure regulator is it easy to replace?

Every time I wash the car and it's nice and dry then many hrs later I still roll the window down and it's still wet and streaks with wet marks , even the next day , continues to streak . So don't know if this is normal for these cars or not.
View 14 RepliesHaving issues with the brakes locking to the rotors after washing the vehicle? I washed it on Saturday afternoon, pulled it back into the garage and it sat there until Monday morning.
I back the vehicle into the garage, always. I started it up, put it in D and usually it will want to lurch forward if I don't hold the brakes firmly. Not today. I could not get the thing to budge. I sat there for a few seconds to make sure the parking brake was not on. It was not, as I never use that. My garage floor is the slippery concrete, plus with the tire shine that I applied, the wheels were just spinning.
After I managed to get the vehicle halfway out, I put it in reverse...that worked no problem. I put it back in drive and had no issues after that. Do I need to have the vehicle looked at? It only has 5,400 miles, and it was just in last week for the 5K mile service.

Noticed this am my right headlight is out. However, when I put on the brights it works.
It appears the piece that covers the bulb is missing.
In December, 2013 I got two new bulbs - according to the invoice they were Xenon D4S. Around July, 2014 the driver side headlight would stay on for 20-30 seconds or so and then go out. I took it to the shop that installed the lights and they said they replaced the headlight and gave me back the car. I noticed that night that the problem wasn't fixed.
I took it back to them and they said it must be the ballast. At this point, I don't trust them, because they didn't stand to gain anything from replacing the bulb as parts and service were under warranty, so I'm not convinced they actually did anything (especially given that they didn't even test it before giving me the car back).
About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that the same thing is happening on the passenger side, and they both go off at the same time. I find it hard to believe that both ballasts would go out and the timing would be identical. The problem is, now, I cannot test it by switching the bulbs from right to left because they both do the same thing. According to Xenon Depot there are a lot of Phillips counterfeits - does that apply to Xenon bulbs as well?
Should I buy new headlights and try to install them? I'm looking at Xenon Depot [URL] .... and it looks like the D4S Xenon bulbs, but there are other bulbs. I don't know which ones to buy. Is it likely that the problem is electrical because they both go out at the same time?
I'm loving my recently acquired 2007 LS460 but am wondering about a quirk. After every car wash my drivers window continues to get smeared with water for 3-4 days every time I put it down and up. I've never seen it last this long or this bad on any previous car. Could this indicate some kind of bad seal? I only notice on my drivers window. I'll have to check the others.
