Squeaky springs from the seat back on the driver's seat? I know it's not the seat cushion because as soon as I lean back on the seatback, it squeaks. It's driving me crazy now when I hit a bump or travel over rougher pavement.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline with just shy of 120,000 miles on it. I love this little truck and have have no real problems with it at all, except the drivers seat belt. The problem is that when you pull the seat belt out to put it on, it squeals so loudly that it hurts my ears! Obviously I can't squirt oil on it, but is there anything that can be done to quiet it down without affecting its function?

I blamed my kid for this but now I'm not sure. one day she had her water bottle laying on the floor. She picked it up. A few days later I noticed the whole floor behind my seat is soaking wet. Including the mat. I soaked up everything. I'm pretty sure its dry. Patting with a paper towel was dry. We had heavy rain for three days. And behind the driver seat its all wet. Not the mat, but under it. carpet is wet. I dried it up as best as I could but a few days later it's wet again.
The water bottle holds almost a liter of water and I don't know how much spilled. So I can't figure out if its the bottle or not. Like maybe all the water i'm soaking is on the carpet and some of the padding then after a while, water for the surrounding padding is coming up to the surface.
I checked my a/c tube, its clear. I can see water dripping under my car. I don't know where the tubes are for the sunroof. Are they behind the driver seat? Where does it drip outside?
I have a 2006 sc430 and have been having problems with the drivers memory seat although the passenger one works fine.
I have disconnected my batter for 5 minutes, moved the passenger seat all the way forward, heard the beep. Moved the reclining part all the way forward until I heard the beep, and the memory seat for the passenger works great.
I moved the drivers seat all the way forward, heard the beep. Moved the reclining part all the way forward until I heard the beep, but the memory seat won't beep (when you hold set and a number). I even replaced my drivers mirror (didn't tilt down due to bad motor), but that didn't work. Of course, I did redo disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it resetting both drivers seat and passenger seat.
I did a search and wasn't sure if this problem was talked about. I noticed some threads discussing "squeaks" but the noise I'm hearing can best be described as a clunking or ticking kind of sound.
I notice that when there's stress on the seat (e.g. going over speed bumps, making turns, especially when there's an incline/decline), I hear a clunking or ticking sound. I'm not 100% sure it's the seat (thought it might be the suspension) but the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking it's the seat.
As per this thread, it looks like it may be TSB NV001-06 MAY 06 Interior - Front Seat Squeaking Noise.
Just wondering what I'm describing sounds like the same problem addressed with this TSB. I found this link for instructions on how to fix it: [URL] ....
How to clarify step 5A and 5B for me? Which part are you supposed to cut off? The text says to cut off the seat locator pins to 2mm but the diagram is pointing at some metal piece that is attached to the seat locator pin. Or am I reading this wrong? I've never done anything like this before so I'm a bit apprehensive and want to get as much information as possible before I attempt to do something like take out my seat!
I just bought a 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD. Bought it with 99k from a older gentleman who seemed like he took really care of the car. Gave me all type of Lexus dealership service receipts. I recently noticed that the driver side seat heating and cooling doesn't work right, passenger seat works fine. I haven't checked the fuses yet just wanted to get some opinions before getting into it.
View 2 RepliesMy 2008 GS 460 with 53k steering wheel makes a squeaky noise when I turn the car on and it moves to it's memory position, but only during the heat.
View 4 RepliesI have a Gs 430 - 2006. After hitting bumps in the highway big or small it seems like my dash or suspension squeaks inside the car. Since I can hear it so clearly I'm leaning towards its the dash or something behind the dash, It seems to be coming from the drivers side. What could it be?
View 6 RepliesI been having this problem for a couple of day now the problem seem to be coming form the the low right part of the driver seat. Things that i have done :
1. lube all moving part of the seat with out removing the seat
2. bring the seat up and down and move all part.this seen to work but temp
Lots of squeaking coming from the seat in the past few days. No one sitting in it, no massage or heating/cooling active. Squeaks when I go over the slightest bump or rattle the seat.
View 6 RepliesI drive a GS450h. Now I am experiencing some rattles that irritates. It is a "tock" sound that comes from around the driver seat. It is impossible for me to isolate, but it sounds like its from either of these locations:
- Driversdoor
- Roof
- A pillar driver side
- Dashboard
It doesn't matter where if the road is bumpy or not, actually it seems to be more present on smooth roads. I removed the covers of the door and looked for anything that moved in there, but it all seemed ok. How can I check for the rest? Is there a DIY for removing the roof and A-style panels/cover?
My research showed some of this happening on some of the older Lexus but couldn't find any on the IS that are this new.
I plan on taking it in and hoping to have them replace under warranty. Just seems kind of odd with only 20K miles. I have never used anything other than water and a micro to clean the seats.

I have a question as to the sc430 reclining position.. my Sc430 will not recline far back as I would like for my normal driving position.. My GS300 reclines far back as I want.
View 14 RepliesMy new-to-me 2013 LS has a squeaking driver's seat... it's especially evident if the car's been parked for a week.
When I purchased the car it had this problem, the dealership "took care of it", but it came back a month later... when I lean back in the seat it squeaks annoyingly...
I purchased my car second hand. I don't know if the previous owner was a big, sweaty dude who didn't take showers but....after driving in my car for certain periods, I get a funky body odor from the seat.
I sprayed vinegar/water onto the seat, let it stay and wiped up. I wonder if there's bacteria forming on the seat heat/cooling source?
How to remove the back of the driver seat on ES350? I need to install the headrest DVD player.
View 1 RepliesDriver seat tilts forward all by itself sometimes when I park the car. I thought I read a thread in the past that someone else has this issue. 2007 Azera Limited and she has 90,000 mile on her. I have never held a car this long. That means I like it.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 Azera . About a week ago when I was going to sit in the car I noticed that driver seat leaned completely forward , I didn't pay attention to it and put it back but today When I was driving the the highway the driver seat suddenly started to leaning forward and push me in to the steering wheel, and the switch didn't work to put it back until It reach forward dead end . when I stopped the car and turn it off I could put it back with it's switch , also the seat memory's were erased . I happen 2 times in the highway then I decided to remove the seats fuse.

My Driver Seat Does not move Forward any more. It will go back, up & Down Just not Forward.
Is there a Seat Reset Switch somewhere I don't know about ? How do I troubleshoot this?
While this is not for my Touraeg but my 2006 Passat, I cannot get the seat to adjust. It keeps moving back to some default position.
