Road noise has started coming from the driver side door also when I put my hand near the door while driving I can feel air coming inside! Is there a fix for this?
Also, I want to change my rear/front turn signals to white is there a bulb for the GS 350 that does not hyper flash? I purchased a led bulb and it hyper flashes also bought a led decoder but does no good still hyper flashes when I turn the blinker on!
I changed my front rotor and brake pad with the oem parts last week. However, it has noise come out everytime when I touch the brake. Is it normal? Or does it need times for break down? Or I did something wrong in installing that cost the noise?
View 13 RepliesI brought my 2011 GS350 in today for the dealer to fix the rattling noise coming from the dashboard after 2.5 hrs of waiting the car was fixed and I drove it to work and the rattling was minimal but tonight after work it was really cold I drove the car home and the rattling noise seem like it coming from the dashboard area near the windshield and the noise was more noticeable than this morning right after i left the dealer.
I just bought the car on March 3, 2015 so far loving the ride but the rattling noise makes me worry. The car is still under factory warranty until March 29th 2015 I am hoping they can correct the problem before the warranty expires.What should I do next?
I have a 07 gs350. My car wouldn't start this morning let alone turn on. I heard this constant beeping noise coming from the hood and it was the battery. I unplugged the battery and the noise stopped. But once I plugged it back in the noise came back. I was in a rush to get to work this morning so I just unplugged it and let it sit for a few minutes before plugging it back in to see if it work.. it did not. This battery is only about 1 year old too.

View 2 RepliesMy 08 gs350 makes a clicking noise when you open the doors really wide and again as you close it. I've tightened all the screws around the door check... Also lubed it as good as possible.
Could it be something to do with the door check pin? How do you replace it?
Noticed any excessive wind noise coming from driver's side window/door on their 3IS? Maybe because its pretty quiet but I'm noticing a slightly louder than normal "whizzing" noise (wind noise) coming from driver's side window/door..
Something the dealer can adjust / tighten up to eliminate this annoying noise?
I just got a 3rd gen IS 1 month ago, but the last 3 weeks there is a rattle noise coming from the rear door on the driver side. I went to lexus twice now but they were unable to fix it and they told me to wait till the car breaks in.
View 14 RepliesI am the new owner of a 2007 Lexus GS350 and I absolutely love the car. 70k miles and it has been well taken care of by the previous two owners. The question I have is regarding a strange subtle jerk when coming to a stop. This seems to be the most intense with a medium force stop but I can also feel it when coasting to a stop. It happens frequently and sometimes is less harsh than other times. I noticed it right after picking up the vehicle but I didn't really pay much attention. After driving the car for 2 months I notice it more. The jerk seems to be happening during downshifting and is at about 15 mph every time. It's not extreme but passengers typically notice it if I point it out. Then they can feel it every time it happens. The other shifts are smooth including accelerating and so forth. I reset the ECU (pulled the ETC and EFI2 Fuses) about two weeks ago but haven't noticed a difference in shifting.
View 14 RepliesWell got back home for the weekend and after a 200 mile drive I shut the engine down and step outside and notice fumes comimg from the front of the car. After popping the hood and looking and smelling around. Well I drive to my parents house (30 miles) and notice smoke, I'm angry now and call Lexus to drop it off.
After 2 hours they still haven't figured it out and give me a loaner anyways they did confirm a transmission leak. We'll see what happens Monday. By the way just bought new struts, plugs, K&N filter, Winter tires what a waste. Look for it on classifides. So to date Water pump, Alternator, Valve springs etc, transmission. Odometer is at 103000 now. 2007 GS 350 RWD.
I recently upgraded from my '14 IS 250 to a '15 GS 350. So far I am loving the car except for one thing. When driving above 50mph, there is a very loud whistling/squeaking noise coming from the driver side mirror area that is driving me crazy when the window is open. If i close the mirrors, it goes away.
I plan to have the dealer look when i go for the 5k service.
I just spent about $600 on front Lexus Oem struts, Front Strut mounts and labor to try to cure a knocking sound that developed recently. My 2007 GS350 has 84K miles on it. Figured it was time and I had a 50% off labor coupon from Pepboys so it wasn't bad.
Unfortunately that did not cure the problem so I figure it was the upper control arm, but the whole front end was solid. I decided to take one of the Moog sway bar end links off that I just put in and drive around. The noise was completely gone!! So it appears that I had a defective sway bar end link!!!
So before you guys start swapping out front end parts for a suspension noise which is what I've seen when I searched the forum, start with the cheapest one, the end links. Take out the side that makes the noise and drive around to see if the noise goes away. BTW it is safe to drive with one missing. I was able to drive normally with it off.
I got my all new Lexus but driver door has been rattle since 400 mile. It's like plastic vibrating and creaking.... I think it's the door panel is making the noise especially on rough road. When it rattles, I can place my hands on and share the vibration, then the noise would be somehow suppressed.
The problem is that I took it to dealer and they, as usual, cannot reproduce the problem! I took down the door panel myself, tightened all screws...and the noise...got worse....
Whenever I go over bumps or a rough piece of road there is a faint rattle coming from the drivers door. It just started doing it about a week ago and its driving me crazy . I am thinking door seal? I've called the dealer and they told me to come in to check it out.
View 7 RepliesI did a search and wasn't sure if this problem was talked about. I noticed some threads discussing "squeaks" but the noise I'm hearing can best be described as a clunking or ticking kind of sound.
I notice that when there's stress on the seat (e.g. going over speed bumps, making turns, especially when there's an incline/decline), I hear a clunking or ticking sound. I'm not 100% sure it's the seat (thought it might be the suspension) but the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking it's the seat.
As per this thread, it looks like it may be TSB NV001-06 MAY 06 Interior - Front Seat Squeaking Noise.

How to clarify step 5A and 5B for me? Which part are you supposed to cut off? The text says to cut off the seat locator pins to 2mm but the diagram is pointing at some metal piece that is attached to the seat locator pin. Or am I reading this wrong? I've never done anything like this before so I'm a bit apprehensive and want to get as much information as possible before I attempt to do something like take out my seat!
Lately I changed my front brake rotor and the new brake pad. However, When I doing back forward with applying light brake. I can hear "gara gara" noise from the front brake. Sounds like two steel material hiting each other.
Also, there is a different noise comes out when I releasing the brake after local stop. (red light stop or stop sign). I ask the mechanic when I doing the oil change. He checked and said my brake just are fine.
Probably it needs time for the pad break down with the new rotor. I used the Posi ceramic brake pads with the come with shim.
I just had my front brake pads replaced by a local shop. I am now hearing a clunking noise every time I step on the brakes. I got the brake pads from the local Lexus Dealership but had them installed by a local shop. Is it normal to have this clunking for the first couple hundred miles until the brakes "wear" in or do I need to have someone else look at the brakes?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 GS350 that seems to "clatter" when I start the engine after it's been sitting for awhile. The clatter only lasts a couple of seconds but it's annoying....sounds like metal on metal. It does not happen when engine is cold or should I say first thing in the morning. It happens after the car has been driven, sat for a few hours and then the clatter occurs when I start the engine. This started a couple of weeks ago....I have 29,000 miles on it.
Took it to the dealer last week, the service rep told us that this is somewhat common and is due to the high pressure direct injection system on this particular engine. He also said this started when they switched from the GS300 to GS350. I'm wondering why it never happened before. The service rep said there's nothing they can do about relatively new Lexus with relatively low miles.
I've always used premium gasoline, got all my oil changes and maintenance done at the Lexus dealership thus far.
I have 2010 GS350 AWD. Tires are Dunlop and have 7000 miles on them and the car has 47k miles. The issue is the rear inner tire are cupping and make roar noise. Car is all stock. I have done alignment twice at the dealer. They are telling me everything is normal. I have personally inspected everything under the car and did not find anything abnormal, no blowing bushing, and no oil coming from struts. I have read there is no camber adjustment in the rear.
What could cause the gs350 AWD this cupping? Only in the rear? Would camber correct such problem?
Just picked up '14 350 f-sport and I notice a lot of road noise after 100 miles, have about 150 miles on it now and it sounds like the front wheel bearings or maybe the tires? sounds like a rumbling coming from the front. I don't recall hearing it on the test ride, not sure if its normal or not.
View 4 Replies I had a couple of questions about a 2006 Lexus GS300.
The reason I came here is because her GS300 has 3 issues and being this thing is one massive computer... I figured I'd ask you about them and make sure I wasn't getting in over my head in case the repair costs would be substantial.
1st issue: When sitting in the front passenger seat or either back seat with a window, the window goes down fine when using that switch. When sitting in the drivers seat, the only window the driver can put down is the drivers window. The passenger front/rear and drivers rear does not work. Is this a known issue? How to resolve?
2nd issue: When listening to music, regardless of output (xm, fm, cd, etc), audio is only coming out of the passenger side of the car. There is nothing coming out of any speaker on the drivers side. Possible amp issue?
3rd issue: When trying to operate the moonroof, nothing is done automatically. My mother tells me she used to hit open, and the moonroof would open automatically, same with closing. Now, you have to hold the button down manually to get it to the location you want and have to play with the button to get it to shut properly.
