06 GS430 with Mark Levison suffers from most annoying rattle/clicking noise when music volume is on high, especially on front passenger side door panel. I took it to service under warranty, but they couldn't fix it. How to take the front passenger side door panel off?

View 10 RepliesI think that one of them is coming from the passenger door. It is more of a clicking sound kind of, than a rattle. Maybe as if the door panel isn't tightly attached so it moves back and forth a little and clicks.
The other rattle is from the cupholder area.
I took this car to my dealer and they fixed another rattle from the passenger door (claimed it was a screw in the speaker that had fallen out?), but it was replaced by this new clicking rattle. They also claimed they did something to the cupholder to fix it, but it didn't work.
My question is, how the door panels are attached to the car? I was thinking that if it is attached by a few screws I will try tightening those up myself before I go back to the dealer. It would be great if it was just attached too loosely and I could fix it myself.

Experienced low volume on car while streaming music thru Bluetooth via your smart phone. I usually like to listen to my music at a moderate loud setting, volume cranked up between 35-40 depending on the type of music. Apparently even at volume set between 35-40 it still sound very low, but suddenly volume goes up when I received a txt message or email on my phone. I've tried messing with all the settings on the car and my phone. Even restore default settings in my car and phone. Problem still there.
I've been using Soundcloud (android) to stream music to the car and everything was going well until a couple days ago.
Whenever I touch the volume controls (steering wheel and center console) it always restarts the song that's playing (the volume does change but the song just restarts). Sometimes I inadvertently use the car volume controls and the song just resets!!
Right next to the tire pressure monitoring reset button (situated above the gas and brake pedals) there is a knob that when turned all the way right will click as if it was in an "off" position. What is this knob for? After doing a search, someone posted it is for volume control of the door locking chirp noise. Does it have any other function, or is this its real function at all? I didn't test it yet.
View 11 RepliesAny good fix for the door panel rattle caused by bass from the stereo? I've had the car to the dealership twice and it hasn't been fixed either time. It's not the door trim it's the actual panel, if you push right below and to the front of the arm rest it stops. Turning the bass down is not an option, if it's not meant to be up that far they shouldn't have made it that way. How hard is the door panel to remove? Also is there a fix for the seatbelt adjuster rattle?
View 8 RepliesI've spent a lot of time and money putting in nice speakers and audio equipment in my 2009 forester. I also got all of the rattles and vibrations out of the interior except for the passenger side door. I've used sound dampening and checked everything I can, but somewhere on the door panel there is a vibration that I can't find. So, the only thing I can think of its too seal the various seams on the interior of the panel with something. .. caulk or glass sealant?
View 10 RepliesI have a '07 Sonata GLS with the 2.4-liter Theta engine and the 4-speed automatic. It has 52k miles on it and has always been serviced regularly. It's been a pretty decent car but is starting to feel a little tired, most notably the worn/bouncy suspension.
Anyway, the other day I was driving down the highway and gave it a little gas to pass a slower car. Doing 60 MPH it downshifted to 3rd (~2000 to ~3300 RPM) and I thought I heard a noise in the engine bay, but I wasn't sure. I ended up needing more power so put it to the floor and as it kicked down to 2nd at ~5000 RPM the rattly noise got a lot more pronounced. Driving around normally I don't hear it but any time I put it to the floor (merging/passing) I will hear the rattle. I can also hear it if I lock it in 2nd gear and give it full throttle up a hill at low speed, like you might do with a stick shift.
It seems like it only does it under load because if I rev it to ~4000 RPM in park in the driveway, there's no noise, even at full throttle. I know the V6s had tensioner issues but I haven't heard much about the 2.4s. I'm not super concerned as it is still under warranty but what might be wrong with it as this is my first Hyundai vehicle, especially in case the dealer can't replicate it.
My passenger side door panel over bumps has a slight rattle, seems like it's coming from the upper door toward the window...
View 15 RepliesI have a 2007 Sonata, 2.4L 4cyl. and it is making some weird noise as of late. I have done some research and from what I have read it seems like it may be a bad engine mount. One thing to note is that the noise really only happens when the car is cold and hasn't warmed up yet or on a cold day.
Basically the best description is that the noise is a high-pitched rattle/vibration noise. The noise seems to match the vibrations of the engine but doesn't seem to get more intense if I rev the engine. The noise does get quieter if I put it in neutral but it is still there. The noise also happens even if the car is parked and off, and I do something like shut the door or trunk. I haven't gotten a chance to get in there and look under the hood myself to try...
Door panel has been off a few times to see what is up. drove it down the road a few times with the panel OFF to see if I could find the rattle...and it was quiet. when the panel goes back on, rattle comes back.
Now...where should I look at? is it one of the lock/door latch rods vibrating against the panel? that is about the only thing I can figure...
I just got a 3rd gen IS 1 month ago, but the last 3 weeks there is a rattle noise coming from the rear door on the driver side. I went to lexus twice now but they were unable to fix it and they told me to wait till the car breaks in.
View 14 RepliesI've noticed a noise coming from my car (2014 IS350 RWD) that sounds like a light, irregular rattle, when the engine is running in the 3500 - 4500 RPM range. I don't hear it necessarily under load, but if I am in manual mode in a lower gear, and let off the throttle, I can hear it.
The best way I can describe the noise is like a bowl of rice crispies (rapid and random), only slightly louder. You have to listen for it, the road/traffic should be quiet, and if you get back on the gas, the intake noise that's plumbed into the cabin pretty much covers it up. I can also hear it in Park or Neutral.... I've wondered if it's a loose heat shield, or an exhaust issue, but I can't hear it standing next to the car or with my head under the hood. I only hear it from the cabin. The rhythm of the noise is irregular.
I don't think it's ping/detonation, since that usually shows up under load, is much louder and has a decidedly metallic sound to it compared to what I'm hearing.
03 GX470 w/ ML/Nav, weird radio problem - the radio cuts out at high volume, and only at high volume. It cuts out for 1 sec, then comes back, then cuts out, then comes back. Screen is on all the time while this happens, and occurs with all inputs - AM, FM, dvd. These are what I've done to diagnose so far:
1) disconnected battery for 10 minutes, no joy
2) replaced 2 fuses pertaining to radio, no joy
3) took out cd in dvd player, no joy
Here's what's weird: When I move the balance to have all/most of the sound coming from the rears, it doesn't cut out! See attached pic. I am able to get it to the 3rd line below the lowest; if I go above this line, it starts cutting out.
I did replace both front speakers a month ago, and was working fine all this time.
Bad amp? Bad front speakers?
I just purchased a 2010 Prius II. I have an I Phone 5. When I connect the phone thru Blue Tooth and listen to music app, I can only adjust the volume with the phone. I want to be able to adjust the volume with the car stereo volume knob.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2012 Camry LE and I always use bluetooth connectivity between my iPhone 6S and the car. I use an online radio app called "Tambura" (similar to pandora but something which caters to Indian Hindi songs). Now I also use my phone as a GPS navigation device on need basis. The problem I am facing is that, whenever I am listening to music using the radio app in my camry's speakers with volume on around 15-20, whenever the Google maps voice says something like "take next exit" or whatever, it is almost inaudible. I expect the sound to be on same level as my music but that does not happen.

View 2 RepliesAccidently ejected my map dvd...located just under my Nav screen under a piece that has Lexus on it. It slides right up and the dvd came out. Cant get it to stay in now. Only makes clicking sound! So frustrated. How do I get the dvd player out? Removing the dashboard? My dvd player isn't in the dashboard though!
