Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Proximity Key Not Being Recognized

My '06 GS 300 recently had a dead battery. Due , I think, to the alternator going bad. After jumping the battery and attempting to drive it to a mechanic, the car quit running and I ended up having the car pushed the rest of the way. Now the proximity key is not being recognized to start the car. When I push the button once, the accessories come on; but when I push it the second time to attempt to start the car - nothing happens. The message "key not detected" appears. I have recharged the car battery and recently changed the small batteries in both of my proximity keys.........so that isn't the problem.

Got in my GS the other day to go to work. Depressed the brake and push button start and car started like normal. Ran for 3 seconds or so and something on the dash flashed, maybe it said "system malfunction"? Car turned off and would not start. It was unexpected and happened so quickly. Car has worked fine since I've had it for 3 months or so. The brakes are now vacuum sealed and barely have any room to depress. The vehicle can only be locked/unlocked by hand and have to use the manual key to open the doors.
The door open light comes on the dash and the dome lights work. The key fob is not detected and does not work when I hold it up closely to the start button, like it is said to do when the car is immobilized. I just put a new battery in the key fob. That didn't work. I put a new car battery in the vehicle. That didn't work. I am not sure what to do anymore!!?? I spoke to the Lexus dealer on the phone and they sounded like it was either the key fob or the car battery. Checked those both out. Could it be the computer system? Maybe needs to be re-programmed? Something isn't triggering the ignition. The dash won't turn on or anything.

2008 GS350 Rwd ... Rear proximity sensor goes off the majority of the time when I go into reverse. And the it's cold or raining, front and rear go off occasionally even when driving. How to disconnect/ turn off sensors? I would rather go without then replace them.

If I leave my 2013 RX parked for longer periods (5-14 days) w/o starting it does not want to recognize my key for starting oftentimes. I end up having to remove from my pocket and hold it up to the ignition button so it recognizes and then it will start.
I have had the battery checked in the remote and it is fine. The dealer tells me this can happen as the vehicle battery can run down in that amount of time since there are electronics within the vehicle still functioning that will draw from the battery.
I have no problem if I drive the vehicle every day or even every 2-3 days. Vehicle only has about 6,000 miles on it.

Shouldn't the puddle lights turn on when approaching the vehicle with the key fob? They will only come on if i unlock the vehicle with the fob. My lights come on with my 2008 ES350.

I was driving in a heavy rain on Saturday and all of the sudden the proximity sensor just went off without anything even close proximity then the left blinker just went off by itself. I cut off the engine then restart couple of time but that didn't work. After 3 hours in the dealer, the mechanic still couldn't figure it out, they said they needed more time to trace the source of the problem. Electrical problem on my 13 RX350 FSport....

-6 degrees this morning. Drive to class fine, come out afterwards to my remote being dead. I popped off the cover to the door handle and unlock the car....alarm goes off. Try to start the car and MFD says key not recognized...it starts but shuts off after a second. How to separate the key without tools? I can't seem to pull it apart.by hand like the old Mk4s.

Since we have had vehicle, it has had fault whereby whenever we turn engine off, the key will not come out of lock and display says "engage Park" even though we already have.... Only solution is to turn ignition back on and then off again, and then key comes out. Dealer has had one go at it, but no success, due to go for another try next week.

I had four tires replaced and my oil changed on my 2007 Prius. When I picked up my car, it no longer recognized the signal from my key. I could enter the car by pushing the unlock button and drive it by putting the key in the slot, but it won't work remotely. My second key also doesn't work. The tire shop insists this has nothing to do with the service they provided. I disagree and expect them to pay for the dealer to reset the signal. How this could happen? The key has been working fine before the tire replacement and oil change.

One of my proximity keys is lost inside the vehicle (2013 Santa Fe Limited).
I need to remove the lost key from the car's programming. The dealer mechanic said it is not possible to remove the programming of a key still inside the car. I am not a vehicle mechanic but I am in IT and know a little about RF technology. I know this is possible and I called a couple of locksmith's and was told that it is definitely possible and easy. However they want to charge me over $500 to de-program the lost key.. They are taking advantage of my situation and the dealer has no clue.

I have a problem that before was working fine, I don't know if i disabled it or something. But my proximity key when i used to approach the car and press that small button on door handles would open my doors. Now that button don't work. I have a feeling i pressed something.

I have a 2013 Santa FE 2.0T Limited with the Smart Key setup. Since new, when I would approach the vehicle and the key was within a yard of the door handle, the small lights in the door handle would come on so we could see the handle. A couple of weeks ago the vehicle battery died (again) and now those lights will only come on once the button is pushed.
The dealer had the vehicle for 90 minutes and could not find any thing wrong other than the Welcome Light was turned off in the center info console from the dead battery episode. I checked it again last night and the proximity lights still do not work. How tp get the proximity lights working again?

At the service department now... My little C started making this strange noise coming out of the proximity warning system... It sounds like a robot whistling (I don't know how else to describe it) when I'm moving in low speeds. There's also a small grinding noise like something is caught and rubbing up against something. I hope it's nothing major, but I sure am anxious waiting for them to diagnose the problem!

On the passenger door the proximity sensor stopped working. 2014 PP. When I touch the door with the FOB in my pocket it does not unlock. If i swipe my finger on the door handle with the fob in my pocket it does not lock.

My sound in my GS went out today. I can see everything functioning on the head unit but the DSP button has disappeared and my eq only shows bass and treble no mids. I got few item hook up to my car
1. Blackvue dashcam with magic box, (1 front, 1 rear + parking power adapter)
2. V1 Radar Detector
3. 4.2amp dual USB charger.
With all those device combine it shouldn't draw too much power no. I am no electrician but my 15AMP fuse keep going out and its a hassle to replace them every now and then.
