Out of nowhere the passenger air bag light off light came on. On my dash there is also the air bag icon. What is the issue? Does a IS350 use the same leather seat/ control module as the gs350?

I know the es350 was so bad like this that there was a threat of class action. I've read the weight sensor is in the passenger seat rail and you can also do a calibration with a scan tool.

And today I noticed when I was driving the car by myself the passenger seatbelt light was blinking and the passenger airbag light off bag wasn't lit? I had the occasion to drive my wife's car, a 2006 Passat. After mucking around for a while, I learned that you can't release the parking brake if the foot brake pedal isn't depressed. Fair enough. But then I saw the "passenger Air Bag OFF" light. Got out the manual and noted the bag was off if no one was sitting in the seat. OK, fair enough again, but WHY? Why bother turning the bag on and off? Why not just leave the bag on and save a few dollars in manufacture? I think it may have to do with a child's car seat, and maybe you don't want the bag if a kid seat is in place.

View 4 RepliesI bought my GS new and it has 40K miles now. It is a 2010 GS AWD. Yesterday I get off work, a hot day, I get in the car, started the car, and passenger front window rolled down by it self. I tried to rolled it back up and it would not go up. I shut the car off and re-started and was able to roll it up.
I thought maybe it was the heat. The next day it happened again, but this time while I was driving. There are no funny noises coming from in side the door and no water has ever gotten in there. I also never leave the windows cracked instead I raise the sun roof up for heat to escape. I find this very odd self-operating window. The rest of the windows work just fine.
Battery has never been disconnected. what may be causing this window to operate on its own? a lose wire maybe?
I just put rear brakes on my 2008. The parts fit fine but the passenger side runs hot. Very hot after just five miles.

When heater setting is at 75, passenger side blows toasty, but driver side is cold. What else do I need to look at possibilities?

View 2 RepliesLately I noticed that my headlight beams are crossed between passenger and driver side....
When I start up the car, the headlights move down and up for the initializing... all seems fine... While I backing my car out of the garage, I notice that my light beam start to drift closer to each other as I back out further and then finally crossed... the beam from my passenger headlight ended up on the driver side.... and the beam from my driver headlight ended up on the passenger side.
My AFS lamps are working and initializing when the car turn on.
Only thing I did was put groceries on the passenger front seat and floor in front of the passenger seat!!
View 1 RepliesWe have had a 2006 Prius for almost 2 years now. In the past few months the passenger airbag seemed to become intermittent where the light would say "Off" even with a passenger. More recently it stays that way all the time. Also, the seatbelt warning light does not come on with a passenger when this light says "Off." In my early searches, I found some references to problems with the wiring harness, so I fiddled under the seat.
On two separate occasions I have unplugged and plugged in one of the connections and the airbag works. The first time, it only worked once. The second time, it worked for about a day. The first time, the car was off when I unplugged it. The second time, I foolishly did it while we were going down the interstate. When I plugged it back in, the red malfunction light came on. We turned the car off next time traffic stopped and it worked as it should when we turned it back on. I don't know if it might be the pin connectors, loose wires, or something else completely.
I was told the Led went out and I would have to buy a complete assembly Part 8155147100. Is this correct? Is there anyway to just replace the led?
I looked at after mark replacements, but after reading some of the reviews, I think I should buy a genuine Toyota replacement.
The other day, I changed my front brakes just the pads. Everything came out smooth but then later that day i started to notice a clicking noise coming from the passenger side brake I suppose. You can't hear it when you drive or when braking early but you start to hear it when the car slows down and your coming to a stop. Its a constant clicking noise within like 1 or 2 seconds of each other. Its not loud, but its very noticeable with music off. And not to mention, very annoying.
I'm about to take everything apart and reinstall everything to see whats up. BTW its a 2006 GS300 Front brakes. Finding a picture of the wheel off with rotors and whole brakes on. I think I might of put on a clip wrong.
