Lexus GS 2006-11 :: GS350 AWD Won't Start - Steering Wheel And Brakes Are Stiff

I have a 2007 GS 350 AWD and when I got into the car yesterday the car wouldn't start. It won't even turn on to turn on the radio or roll down windows. The steering wheel and brakes are stiff and the last message I saw was S/T Lock on the dash. I thought it was the battery since sometimes when leaving the lights on auto mode they don't turn off which I thought killed the battery. I bought a brand new battery after trying to recharge the "dead" one and even with the new battery nothing happens. Just now after hitting the unlock button a bunch of times I tried starting it and the ignition button turned green a load up screen came up but still wouldn't start. Now it's back to doing nothing with the steering wheel and brakes stiff with no green ignition light.

About 15x now over the last year, I get in the car, press the brake, the green light comes on and half way through the start-up, the car locks up. Dead, nothing. The brake feels stiff, the key fob will not open the trunk, nor will it lock or unlock the doors, no more green or orange light on the start button. Completely dead.
The last time I opened the door, closed it again and everything reset. It came back "alive", the navigation system rebooted, the air was off and my clock had been reset.
Some days this happens in a matter of a minute or two and other days it takes ten min. Why? Is it a faulty ground? Not sure why it would automatically reset on its own.

I just purchased a used 2007 Lexus GS 350 AWD. I had it inspected and there were some minor problems (air filter, small oil issue) but nothing big. Driving it, I've noticed that the wheel shakes a little bit when applying brakes and based on my google searches, it's likely a rotor problem. I've literally only driven the car less than 100 miles since it was inspected. Does the inspection place (Tires Plus) bear any responsibility for clearing the inspection on the car? Should I take the car to Tires Plus to look at or should I take it somewhere else?

Tried to start my 2007 es350 this morning. While I was attempting to start I was also adjusting my seat backwards and the car failed to start. The gas pedal is stiff and so is the steering wheel. The Start button turns orange when I try to start , if I really press down hard on the brakes the start button turns green but when i press it there is a flickering noise but she doesn't start. What could it be ....battery is about 9 months old?

I have an 07 GS 350. When I'm driving on any winding road, every time I turn the wheel to the right, I hear a kind of scraping sound for as long as the steering wheel is turned even a little. It's only when I turn the wheel to the right and only and only the front left tire.
I thought it might be the disc brake dust shield, but I pulled the tire off, took a look, and can see that it isn't touching the rotor anywhere. There really isn't much else that I can think of that it could be, so I'm basically stumped. The brake pads are nice and thick and everything looks really good.

Have an 07 gs350 awd and lately the pedal feels stiff and doesn't depress all the way down at startup. Sometimes the steering wheel will go back up as if I have just stopped the car and occasionally I will get the message on the dashboard that I need to press the brake pedal at startup even though I am doing that. Dealership claims they can't duplicate problem and don't know what it could be.

I just had my front brake pads replaced by a local shop. I am now hearing a clunking noise every time I step on the brakes. I got the brake pads from the local Lexus Dealership but had them installed by a local shop. Is it normal to have this clunking for the first couple hundred miles until the brakes "wear" in or do I need to have someone else look at the brakes?

I have a Lexus 2007 gs350 and my power steering isnt working. I was thinking the power steering rack needs to be replaced or the power steering module may have failed perhaps?. It would sometimes work on a start for a few seconds and thats it.

I have a 2007 Lexus GS350 rear wheel drive. My battery died to this guy try to give me a jump and he connected the jumper box the wrong way, we had a little spark and then we try to connect the jumper the rite way but car will not start. I replaced the battery with a new battery, no start. the horn works but the rest is dead.
I was trying to locate a main fuse but was not able to. Do these cars have a main fuse? What should i look for.

Got in my GS the other day to go to work. Depressed the brake and push button start and car started like normal. Ran for 3 seconds or so and something on the dash flashed, maybe it said "system malfunction"? Car turned off and would not start. It was unexpected and happened so quickly. Car has worked fine since I've had it for 3 months or so. The brakes are now vacuum sealed and barely have any room to depress. The vehicle can only be locked/unlocked by hand and have to use the manual key to open the doors.
The door open light comes on the dash and the dome lights work. The key fob is not detected and does not work when I hold it up closely to the start button, like it is said to do when the car is immobilized. I just put a new battery in the key fob. That didn't work. I put a new car battery in the vehicle. That didn't work. I am not sure what to do anymore!!?? I spoke to the Lexus dealer on the phone and they sounded like it was either the key fob or the car battery. Checked those both out. Could it be the computer system? Maybe needs to be re-programmed? Something isn't triggering the ignition. The dash won't turn on or anything.

I have an issue when I go to start the car after it sits for as little as 30 min.The brake pedal is stiff and its hard to start since you have to depress the brake pedal prior to starting the car .

I've got a used '07 gs350.. Unfortunately I bought it without doing any computer scanning to find out the faulty parts..
After I bought it I found the check vsc and check engin lights are on ! The car is skidding while I start accelerating, Nothing controls it!
I did the scanning and they told me there is an open circuit in the O2 sensor. That was right they welded the wires and the lights went off for about two days then they came back again!
I took it to them and they did the scan again. The codes are p0430 and p0420. I think they are related to catalytic converter.. They said it has leak in the EVAP system.
Does this has any deal with the Gad Cap ?! Is it really the issue is caused by the catalytic converter !!!

I have a 2007 GS350 that seems to "clatter" when I start the engine after it's been sitting for awhile. The clatter only lasts a couple of seconds but it's annoying....sounds like metal on metal. It does not happen when engine is cold or should I say first thing in the morning. It happens after the car has been driven, sat for a few hours and then the clatter occurs when I start the engine. This started a couple of weeks ago....I have 29,000 miles on it.
Took it to the dealer last week, the service rep told us that this is somewhat common and is due to the high pressure direct injection system on this particular engine. He also said this started when they switched from the GS300 to GS350. I'm wondering why it never happened before. The service rep said there's nothing they can do about relatively new Lexus with relatively low miles.
I've always used premium gasoline, got all my oil changes and maintenance done at the Lexus dealership thus far.

It's the SIR ASM COIL. I replaced my steering wheel with a custom steering wheel and now this thing keeps the steering wheel stiff because these adapters for the custom steering wheel don't work with airbag equipped vehicles. What I currently did because I no longer need my airbag was I disconnected the airbag wires underneath the dash that clipped on with a yellow clip like most other wires are and then I clipped them where they entered the SIR ASM COIL so it would rotate freely but those plastic stops also gave me trouble so I broke them off and now the steering wheel rotates smoothly as the coil moves with it but I fear that there is something I overlooked with this part and I'm nervous about it. Is there anything else connected to this SIR ASM COIL besides the airbag wires? If so what do I do?

I have an 06 F-250 5.4 gas w/138k. It had recently had a lot of play on the wheel (15 degrees maybe) and last week I made the move to replace the gearbox with a redhead box. All seemed to go ok, but now the steering is stiff and it won't come all the way back to center after a turn. It turns smoothly and completely with no binding, but it has to be moved the last 1/3 turn back to center.
I flushed the fluid initially with Valvoline max life fully syn. Then second guessed myself after the problem started happening so I switched it back to regular Mercon. No improvement.
I had it on stands today and it was extremely difficult for me to turn my tires left to right manually (at the wheel). The only other thing I did was adjust the sleeve on the drag link to straighten out the steering wheel.
Should I be able to turn the tires left and right from the wheel easily? Every now and then I hear a whine from the pump which I never had before, but 99% of the time it seems fine and is quiet. it just feels like something is over tight but everything should be to spec.

I have a Hyundai Accent 2001 and today while driving the battery light and brake light both went on and the steering wheel became "stiff" - hard to turn - although driving in a straight line seemed to be as usual.
I would just take it to the garage, but although it still starts as usual, it seems hard and probably a bad idea to drive it there in its current condition.

I have noticed that when pressing on the brakes at 50 MPH and higher my steering wheel starts vibrating and it feels like the car is being tugged a little to the left. This started a couple of weeks ago, what might be causing this?

I purchased a set of new LTX MS2 tires back in October and a week ago a got a nail on the right front tire, specifically the side wall so they couldn't fix it so they replaced the tire with a new one. Now when I step on the brakes at 60 mph, the steering wheel vibrates. Can the new tire be causing that? I looked at the weights and one set of weights is taped kind of crooked, can the balancing cause it too?

drive an '05 sc430 and the steering wheel shakes at above 50mph when I lightly step on the brakes. I have recently had my brakes done and an alignment done as well as both rear shocks replaced.

Was driving on interstate and car started to loose power. Replaced battery and before I could make it home car started to loose power again (lost power steering and power brakes). Charged battery, replaced alternator, and now car starts fine but there are issues.
1) VGRS, VCS, and AFS lifts are on.
2) Steering wheel is 90 degrees off.
Car ran fine before alternator/battery replacement.
