I have tried resetting the ECU via fuse pull. I have confirmed brake lights work (as do all of the lights). Car has just 66K and simply will not start at all. Battery terminals clean and connected.

This thing is a blast to drive, but has so many issues and is not stuck in my garage!
I have a bizarre issue, once the car is running about 20 minutes, the seat belt icon on dash and passenger seat belt light (unoccupied) start flashing. Then the flashing become more like a flickering with a noise. At this time all power windows become sticky and operate under the same bop if you will as the seatbelt light. The doors the will not lock and the alarm will not work. Today it took me about 6 minutes just to close one window and i had to lock the car manually. After a few hours with the car being off, everything works fine again, then another 20 minutes of driving the issue reappears.
View 6 RepliesI own a 2006 GS300 for 4 years and I have about 90k miles on it. Just suddenly today when I went to go turn the car on, I hear a rapid loud clicking noise and the engine will not start. I've done some googling and one possible solution is to disconnect the battery to let the car reset and then connect it back. What the cause is? I've replaced the spark plugs a few months ago, but I didn't replace the battery.

View 9 RepliesI have a 2006 LEXUS GS300 AWD. I loved how it looked stock but I wanted more. I replaced the stock shocks with Brian Crowler coilovers and got some 20" Niche Verona staggered wheels. I dropped it about 2 inches. The problem is that when I take off I have a vibration that comes from the car up until i reach about 20 miles per hour. However, when I put on the stock wheels there is no vibration. I got it put on the rack and all the arms are fine. I even checked the tires and the rims for any problems and they are fine.
View 2 RepliesI bought in my 2006 GS300 to Lexus dealer 2 weeks ago for the engine misfire issue and were told to call corporate 'cuz it's over the 9 yr period for 1 month. Called and told me to bring it back for inspection on the issue. Dealer performed the test and found the misfire, but got a call from dealer that they won't cover it because I missed it by 1 month. I had explained to the rep that we moved around quite a bit and found out about this not too long ago.
View 11 RepliesI started the car this morning, plugged the phone charger into the lighter socket, noticed the charger light wasn't on, pressed the charger in tighter, the car started to run funny, then it cut off. Lights work, radio won't work, all fuses are alright upon several visual inspections. Car wants to turn over but won't start. I tried disconnecting the negative battery cable to see if the car would revert back to "normal". I have never had a problem with this car in the two years I've had it; the battery was purchased brand new in November of 2011. I unplugged the cigarette lighter to see if that would work but nothing so far. Could it be the ignition switch?!
View 3 RepliesMy '06 GS300 has a bulb in the driving lights (inner set, closest to the grill) that is out. It is the small light that turns-on when you turn the proper night-time lights on. SO, my driving lights operate normally, but when I switch the lights on, and the smaller bulbs turn on, one is out.
I was able to locate a post that suggested a 194/t10 LED light for replacement. How to confirm this is the proper bulb for the job? Also see these listed as #2825 in halogen.
I bought my 06 GS300 AWD with 104k a year and half ago and have noticed the transmission sticks while shifting. This is prevalent during winter or cold driving.
These are the cold symptoms w/o Snow Mode active:
-sticking between shifts (gears 2-4).
-on highway coasting speeds, take your foot of the accelerator and the Tac. needle bounces.
-downshifting to lower gears the car pushes forward further than expected.
-coming down a decline with your foot on Brake, the gear upshifts instead of downshifts (has happened after driving for more than 20 minutes).
- high Tac. reading during warm-up drive, have to depress brake pedal further, to prevent collision.(this one I expected since all Toyota vehicles that I've owned has done this).
I have talk to my local Lexus dealer and a tech mentioned this transmission has been known to do this while it's cold.
So, my question is, should I consider changing the trans. fluid to see if the problem goes away?
Owning a Lexus . I recently bought an '06 model GS300 and have just had an issue appear with it.
Issue is that, whether in drive or reverse, the car accelerates on its own - not very quickly, but quickly enough that it'll crash me into my garage door if I'm not careful.
What this could be? Variously, I've read that it could be a Throttle Positioning Sensor, or Idle Air Control valve. Some things I've read suggest it could be air conditioning related (though I don't understand that one...).
I have 06 gs300 AWD, dashboard makes a lot of noise now, beside than that its a very good car. Noise is so bad, it seems like, about to break apart?

I bought a lexus gs300 and changed the transmission. the car would turn on, run for about 10 mins then shut off. I gave changed the fuel pump, the router and service the car it still does the same thing. what could the problem be?
View 8 RepliesI have a completely stock 06 GS 300 AWD. Just noticed this morning in traffic that my lights keep wondering up/down while I'm stopped ?? Arrived at work and watched the lights shinning against the office wall, still going up/down... I'm assuming hunting for level ?
Not sure if this is happening while driving.. needs to be a fair dark night & smooth road to see if it is doing this. Because both lights are doing this simultaneously I'm thinking its the control module ?
I was trying to find a guide on how to change out my reverse lights to LED, I'm having problems removing the panel. The guide i found on here had all the pictures removed. I'm also trying to change the lights for the make up mirror.
View 14 RepliesI have a problem with the rear right door on my 2006 GS300. It wont unlock no matter what I do. When I try with the key it just makes a funny whirring sound, and the inside lock switch does nothing at all. I need to take a look at the door but obviously I cannot get it open to do so.
View 12 RepliesRandomly for the past couple of weeks, my 2009 2.4 automatic has the transmission letters on the dash rapidly flickering... ex.: driving in D, the display flickers D-P-D-P or D-N-D-N etc very fast. It's not happening in Tiptronic mode and the car is driving very well with excellent mileage.
From what i can see, this happens when the car is in motion only. My thought is a bad contact at a sensor somewhere that loses contact on and off with bumps in the road, but not when stopped? The car has only 50,000km.
It is still under extended warranty, therefore a 50$ deductible for any repair under warranty... whatever issue i had with this car was always intermittent so the dealer won't fix anything if they cannot see the issue and have the nasty habit of charging me like a half hour for trying to diagnose without success. Guess what happens every time I drop off at the dealer? issue not present of course.
If I am sitting in the cabin after turning my 06 GS300 off, after about a minute I can hear noise for about 5 seconds in the cabin.

After starting the car and let it warm up for a bit I notice a decent amount of white smoke from my exhaust which at first I thought was due to the rainy weather (abt 28celcius in Thailand) but it doesn't feel normal. Shortly after I see it coming from the engine so I opened the hood to check. I also went for a short ride around the village and the white smoke still continues from both engine and exhaust...
Its on the right side in between the engine and the battery...
There is also something like a little boil from that joint...
I'm looking at buying a 2006 GS300 AWD with 91K miles for 18K. My husband noticed when you touch on the brakes they vibrate/chatter..? The previous owner took very good care of it and I believe it is all hwy miles. The part that is weird to us after looking over the car fax, we noticed from 2006 to present it has been in the shop anywhere from 2000 to 5000 miles getting new brakes, pads, tires fixed, rotations, tires fixed etc.. Does this year have problems with the brake system? Has there been a recall on the brake system? I'm finding 2006 has other problems but I can't find anything on the brakes. Also, when you look at the menu for service on the nav screen the brakes and oil are red lite...?

View 14 RepliesHaving a problem with my battery. 2006 GS300 AWD. My battery died a few days ago, to the point of no power to the car at all. Today I replaced the battery. After installation, the red battery light was still lit on the dash. I figured it would just go away. Earlier tonight I went out, and about 20 mins into the drive the nav screen started flickering, the dash lit up with all the lights, and the power steering went out, had to pull over and all the power just died. I turned the headlights off and everything else, let it sit for a few minutes, then once again, I could start the car, but immediately no power steering etc. I'm pretty sure there's no accessory on draining the battery?
